Gara welcod them with a warm smile.
"I knew it," Yuvika murmured under her breath, a faint, bitter smile tugging at her lips.
anwhile, Orman looked like he was about to cry.
"Does this an I’ll get to spend even less ti with Madha now?" he whimpered.
Surprisingly, Kevio was the most normal one among the three.
"Congratulations on your engagent," he said sincerely. "Even though my father couldn’t attend, he sent a gift. It’s also his way of thanking you for all the help you’ve given at the academy."
Gara let out an awkward laugh. Kevio’s words almost sounded like a jab, but he knew that wasn’t the intent.
Beside him, Hilda leaned closer and whispered, "The gift from Kevio’s father is a carriage made from premium-grade materials."
"Please give my thanks to your father," Gara replied.
It was quite the coincidence. He didn’t actually own a luxury carriage. Not because he couldn’t afford one, but simply because he never felt the need.
Still, when soone handed you a gift like that, there was no way to refuse.
On the other side, Mr. Yugo was clearly struggling not to bring up business matters.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to. It was just that business was practically the only thing he could talk about.
He was the only business partner Gara had invited, and he knew that ant Gara trusted him deeply.
The group from Raksa County took their seats at the sa table as Hilda.
Not long after, another guests arrived. Coincidentally, also from Raksa County, though they were currently staying in the capital.
"I thought you wouldn’t have ti to co, Kian," Gara greeted warmly to the bespectacled man, while only giving a short nod to the man beside him.
In the end, it was Madha who chatted with Mohan, if only to show a little friendliness.
"We’ll be heading back to Raksa County right after this," Kian explained. "It’d be a sha to miss it, so we decided to drop by first."
They soon began talking about the missions Kian and Mohan had taken over the past six months.
"We’ve been dealing with a lot of toxin-related cases," Kian said. "Your Vena Pills have been a huge help, Gara."
"I’m glad to hear that," Gara replied, genuinely pleased.
News like that ant a lot to him. It was proof that his formulas were actually helping people out there.
"We ran into Narin at the border," Kian added carefully, worrying Gara wouldn’t like the topic. "She’s... changed a lot."
"That’s good to know," Gara said simply. His tone was calm, but inside, he knew more about Narin than anyone else in that room.
After all, he still had people keeping an eye on her. Call it revenge, but to Gara, soone like Narin couldn’t just be left unchecked.
If she wasn’t properly punished, others would get hurt. More lives would be ruined.
"Loka’s changed a lot too," Mohan suddenly chid in.
Sothing in his tone made Gara’s expression stiffen for a second.
’Mohan... you think I don’t know you still hold a grudge because of Loka?’ Gara thought to himself, his smile never faltering.
’Even if you believe he wasn’t completely at fault, he still tried to harm my child. And I’ll never let that slide.’
The air grew heavy for a mont, tension quietly filling the room.
Then, the door burst open. A middle-aged man stepped in with a fierce look on his face—
only for it to crumble the mont his eyes fell on Gara, standing there in a well-fitted suit, looking effortlessly beautiful.
"Gara~!" the man’s voice cracked as his eyes welled up with tears.
"Uncle Tristan!"
Tristan walked straight to Gara and pulled him into a tight hug.
Everyone around them froze in surprise.
ristan wasn’t an unfamiliar face. Whether they knew him personally or just by reputation, his na carried weight throughout Raksa County.
Though, lately, rumor said he had left Raksa County, back to his hotown, Cakranloka City.
Gara himself looked just as stunned. He hadn’t expected Tristan to make the long trip all the way to the capital.
After the touching reunion between godson and godfather, Tristan began chatting with the other guests.
Most of them already knew he and Gara had so sort of connection, though few actually understood what kind.
anwhile, Hilda was already moving about, giving instructions to the event staff. The ceremony was about to begin.
Just before it officially started, the door swung open again. This ti, the guest who walked in was even more unexpected than Tristan.
"Sir Agus Soren."
Even Tristan was caught off guard. He imdiately stepped forward to greet the man— one who, despite appearing younger, was hundred years older than him.
The students from Gyakarta Academy quickly stood and bowed to their vice headmaster.
Orman leaned toward Kevio and Yuvika, whispering, "Wait, is it even allowed to invite the academy’s vice headmaster to an engagent between two of his students?"
"There’s no rule against it," Yuvika replied casually. "The academy only forbids marriage, not engagent. As long as they don’t get married before graduation, it’s fine."
Gara and Madha also greeted Agus respectfully.
The old vampire shouldn’t have been there, but when Wina ntioned she couldn’t prepare food today because of an important event, his curiosity got the better of him.
When he learned that two of his students were getting engaged, he didn’t scold them for risking their studies. He decided to attend instead.
In the end, Gara agreed to invite him, and as a bonus, gave Ares a bit of freedom inside the dinsional space.
The young dragon, an extrovert by nature, had been practically suffering, confined to only two floors of the mansion.
Then, Madha guided Agus to a seat at the one of the front tables, far left, sitting with Tristan and Fian.
That ant Fian had the unfortunate fate of sitting between two powerful n.
"Master, everything’s ready. The event can begin now," Hilda called out.
