Just then, my phone rang. When I looked at the screen, I saw Evric’s na flashing across it.

A small smile pulled at my lips even before I answered. "Hey, baby," I said softly.

"Did you get my surprise?" His voice ca through, warm and playful.

I chuckled. "Yeah, I did. Pizza for breakfast? Really, Evric?"

"I didn’t know what else to send," he admitted with a laugh. "But at least now you can’t say I didn’t try to make it up to you."

Shaking my head, I leaned against the couch. "You’re wild. But... thank you. It did make laugh."

"That’s all I wanted," he murmured. Then his tone dipped lower, a little more serious. "But don’t think this lets you off easy, babe. When I’m back, I’ll apologize properly. The way you will like it."

My breath caught, heat rising in my chest. "Evric..."

He only chuckled again.

"That’s all I wanted," he murmured. Then his tone dipped lower, a little more serious. "But don’t think this lets you off easy, babe. When I’m back, I’ll apologize properly. The way you like it."

My breath caught, heat rising in my chest. "Evric..."

He only chuckled again, warm and satisfied.

Since he was clearly in a good mood, I thought maybe it was the right ti to tell him about my birthday plans. Babe, I called softly.

"Yes, love?" he answered, his voice low, attentive.

"I want to tell you that my friends have finalized where I’ll be celebrating my birthday."

"Okay, where?" he asked.

"Nanom Resort. It’s a new place near the beach."

"That’s fine," he said almost imdiately. "Just send the location, I’ll check into it."

"Okay," I agreed. Then I hesitated. "But..."

"But what?" His tone shifted, curiosity edging into it.

"They said we’re staying for three days at the resort."

"Yes...?"

"That’s what my friends want."

He went quiet for a beat, then his voice ca back, steady but firm. "Babe, can I be realistic with you?"

"Sure," I replied.

"I can’t stay there more than one night."

I nodded to myself. "That’s fine. You can go back ho to rest properly. I’ll stay with my friends for the three days since... well, they’re there to celebrate ."

But his reply was sharp, leaving no room for negotiation. "There’s nothing like that, babe. Once I leave, you’re leaving too. I haven’t spent ti with you in two weeks. I’ll co back and you’ll just let walk away and stay alone? No. Once I leave that resort, you’re coming with ."

I frowned, rubbing my forehead. "That won’t be possible, Evric."

"Why?" His tone hardened.

"Because my friends are there because of . You can’t expect to just leave them alone."

There was a pause, then his voice ca back, low and wounded. "But you expect to be alone?"

The question hit like a knife. I closed my eyes, pressing my lips together. "It’s not like that, Evric..."

"It’s like what, Zayn?" His voice rose, not in anger but in frustration, a kind of helpless need that made my chest ache.

I exhaled slowly. "Let celebrate with my friends, and then afterward I’ll co to you. Please. It’s my birthday, Evric. They’re doing all this for ."

"So you want to pick your friends over ?" His voice cut through , hurt laced with accusation.

I blinked, stunned. "Evric, that’s not what I ant. I don’t want us to argue about this. I’ll try to figure sothing out, okay?"

There was a long silence, then he said quietly, "You know... sotis I feel like you love your friends more than ."

My chest tensed. "That’s not true, Evric. I love you, and I love my friends. You’re all important to . Let’s just... figure it out together, babe." My voice softened, hoping to ease the edge between us.

He sighed on the other end, softer this ti. "Baby, I just want to be with you alone."

"I know," I whispered. "And I want to be with you too... but can you just be a good husband and let celebrate with my friends first?"

There was a pause. Then his voice sharpened with curiosity. "Wait. What did you just call now?"

I smirked, seizing the chance to shift his mood. "I called you babe."

"No," he pressed, his tone lighter now. "Not that one. The second one."

I bit back a laugh and finally said it, slower this ti. "I call you husband..."

On the other end, he burst out laughing, the sound warm and boyish. "You called your husband, Zayn?"

"Yes. Don’t you like it?" I teased, grinning at my own boldness.

"Like it?" His voice shot up with joy. "Baby, I love it!"

"You do?"

"Yes!" he nearly shouted.

Relieved, I giggled softly. "So, will you celebrate with your baby’s friends first? It’s just three days. And I know my husband won’t say no. Or will you?"

He humd like he was pretending to think, then gave in. "I will never say no to you after hearing you call your husband."

A smile spread across my face. "So... we’re spending the three days with my friends. You agree, right?"

"Of course, baby. I accept it," he said without hesitation. Then his voice dipped a little lower, playful again. "But I checked, the resort has three sections. Can we take the VVIP one?"

I blinked. "Baby... you know it’s my friends’ money. I don’t know which one they’re paying for."

He chuckled softly. "That’s fine. We can always switch once I’m there."

"Okay, baby," I replied, relief washing over . We talked for a little while longer, nothing too serious, just the usual little things lovers say when neither of them wants to end the call.

Finally, as silence settled, I told him gently, "I love you so much, Evric."

His voice dropped to that tender tone only he used with . "I love you more, Zayn."

And with that, the call ended. I stared at the blank screen for a mont, a smile tugging at my lips. I was glad he agreed.

The truth is, the best thing for our relationship might be this, learning how to calm each other down instead of letting argunts turn into fights. Evric is a sweet man, but he gets jealous so easily, and that jealousy often sparks his anger. I’m only just learning how to be a good partner to him: to steady his temper, to ease his worries, to love him through it all.

Because at the end of the day, no matter how complicated he is, he’s mine. And I wouldn’t trade him for anything.
