Desires were frankly very new to Xion.

While the other boys whispered about girls and fantasies, laughed at lewd jokes, or passed magazines under desks, Xion sat quietly in the corner, ears red, pretending not to hear.

Sotis, he even wondered if sothing was wrong with him.

While his classmates and peers spoke loosely about such matters as watching porn and being rowdy in the dorm about beauties, even at the peak of his puberty, Xion felt like they were in two completely different worlds.

He didn’t really feel the sa adolescent urges that others did.

After all, for most of his life, he’d been too preoccupied with simply keeping his little world from falling apart.

Perhaps, after being called a disgusting pervert by his high schoolmates, he had never allowed his mind to wander into that territory again.

Or maybe it was those dical terms, constantly repeated in his brain, that drained any charm from such thoughts.

Sex, to him, was just a thing that eventually led to pregnancy. That was all.

For soone like him, all the sudden touches and kisses now felt like a sprinkle of rainbows, filling his barren lands with bright light and vibrant colors.

However, not even in his wildest dreams had Xion thought of sleeping with his boyfriend within just a matter of days.

In his imagination, courting took months. Then ca the shy glances, holding hands, the afternoons spent laughing at silly jokes. It was only after all that would co the sleeping part.

They had directly skipped so many steps and jumped to the last part.

But then again, it was because Darius wanted him.

Soone so high up the social ladder, soone who looked like a human form of god, actually desired him.

And Xion? The silly healer, though still sore and lethargic, was incredibly happy. He was astounded. How did this happen exactly?

But perhaps, after all the anguish he had survived, Darius Rael Darkhelm was his reward.

Under such giddiness, the shy Xion had beco bold and silently agreed with all of it.

Xion stared at the silver-haired beauty sitting on the chair, completely focused on scribbling on the parchnt.

Beside the Archduke was a small table, where a bunch of tiny silver-white flowers floated in a large glass jar. Though technically part of the fungus family, they were pretty, nonetheless.

Micosera Glacialis, or in the language of common folks, the gift of the light, was a flower used to create potions that purified the blood, and if handled with care, could even strengthen one’s mana to so extent.

The potion’s main component was the roots of the fungus, which had to be frozen in the ice for years.

The small white flowers at the top acted as a shield, protecting the roots from harm, blending seamlessly into the snow.

But wasn’t Darius kind of similar to those flowers? Silver-white. Pretty. Spending years in the snow. Looked like a beauty, but strong and resilient beneath the surface.

No, seriously. How did I manage to score such a charming boyfriend?

"Xion?" A low baritone pulled him out of his crazy fangirling over his own boyfriend.

"Yes?" he nearly stuttered while replying subconsciously.

"What are you looking at?" Those green eyes were now focused on him, making his heart pound in his ribcage like a trapped bird.

Wrapped in the duvet, Xion shifted, his legs dangling down from the bed.

"You." His answer was just like him, very straightforward. "Wondering how lucky I am to have you."

Darius had a helpless smile on his face. "Are you doing it deliberately?"

Xion tilted his head, blinking innocently. "Doing what?"

Darius had to take a deep breath. His fingers curled over the corner of the parchnt on which various things were written ticulously. If one read it carefully, they were for the preparation of the wedding.

Xion wore shorts that fell above his knees, leaving his legs bare. Though he had pulled the duvet around himself, it didn’t cover much.

And with Darius’s sharp vision, he could even see the bite marks littering the inner side of his thigh, crawling all the way up.

His upper body was still dressed in his blue shirt, hanging loosely over the thin fra, revealing the bright path of delicate skin, densely dotted with red marks across the collarbones.

As Xion tilted his head, the shirt slid further off along with the duvet, exposing a large bite mark on the round shoulder.

Despite all this, sitting there with wide blue eyes and radiating nothing but innocent affection, Xion looked utterly unaware of the effect he had.

Darius had the urge to punish this little succubus for tempting him like this. But he couldn’t. Ah, he truly couldn’t.

Xion hadn’t fully recovered yet, after all.

"You’re saying the wrong thing deliberately," Darius said at last. "I’m the lucky one here."

He set the parchnt aside and stood up, then knelt in front of Xion, wrapping his arms around the healer’s waist—duvet and all—resting his cheek against the soft thigh beneath him.

"Is the third of next month alright with you?"

It was the twenty-sixth. Only a few days away from the third.

"Sure, but... for what?"

Xion’s hands were already buried in Darius’s long hair, threading through the silver strands. By now, it had beco a habit.

It had started with Rael. Then Noxian. And sohow, it had ended with Darius.

The Archduke simply laid his head in Xion’s lap, letting him pet him like a large, elegant beast.

"To announce our relationship, of course."

"Ah." Xion finally understood. They would need to inform their families. And with the sudden shift in their relationship, it was very likely he’d be staying in the North permanently.

No wonder Aunt Serena had told them to pack everything. She must’ve had a hunch.

So Xion smiled. "Okay. Up to you."

Darius, being the sovereign of the North, must have many things to consider to make their relationship official. Xion had no desire to ddle in that.

"Can I do your hair?" He finally couldn’t help but ask. It had been a long ti since he had done it.

Darius’s lips curled into a smile. Without a word, he turned his back and sat on the floor. That was the answer enough.

Soon, the silver hair was tied up in a loose crown, held together by a simple yet beautiful hairpin in the shape of a snake with red tiny gems as its eyes.

Although, Darius was a beauty, to Xion this big creature sohow looked like a snake. Or considering the size, he should say anaconda.

Was it the way he’d been held so tightly by those arms, or the sheer coldness that dripped from those venomous green eyes when Darius was angry?

Xion really couldn’t tell. Yet, funnily, he liked the Archduke all the sa.

Like a beautiful dream that he wasn’t allowed to keep. But for now, Darius was real. And warm. And his.

"Perfect."

Darius tipped his head back against Xion’s lap, looking at him from a reverse angle.

His gaze was so tender, so affectionate, that Xion’s chest ward instantly.

"Go and pack," Xion said quickly, eyes flicking away. "Didn’t you say the portal opens in two hours? Hurry up—and stop staring at like that." Like you want to...

Darius chuckled. He wanted to tease the flustered healer more, but in the end, he relented.

"Got it. You stay here. Don’t move around."

With that, the Archduke stood and began gathering their things.

[Host, can you stop flirting with each other? While I am enjoying this sudden influx of lovey-dovey monts, I’d like to remind you that I can’t see anything below the neck happening!]

Xion was nearly amused by the system’s irritated tone. He had been such a diligent host, buying things from the system to improve the lives of the people around him.

He had never crossed such... cough... lines before.

How was he supposed to know that the system would get locked in a tiny black room, forced to watch "educational" videos all night?

With hot cheeks, Xion suppressed the crazily rising corners of his lips.

’Give the refreshing agent. The best one.’

Sure enough, at the ntion of sales, the system’s grumbling disappeared instantly.

[Good host! We have three flavors, and all cost the sa. Just 500 rit points! Which one do you want?]

500 rit points?!

Why not just steal his hard-earned money?!

He’d already healed himself mostly, but the soreness still clung to his limbs.

Considering the harsh cold outside, it was possible for him to catch a cold or even get feverish.

Falling sick because of one passionate night would be too humiliating even for him. So, gritting his teeth, he bought the bottle.

As soon as the liquid slid down his throat, the warm current spread throughout his body. His muscles relaxed, the soreness evaporating away like wisps of air.

In an instant, the Xion who hadn’t wanted to move even a finger was back to full energy.

Expensive or not, the system’s products were frighteningly effective.
