Chapter 34: Chapter 23: The Winged Black Feather
Fei Xinyu didn’t let up on his verbal barbs, as his blade thundered down like a lightning strike.
His speed was at its peak as he was already amongst the enemy in an instant.
One enemy in black didn’t have ti to evade, was sliced in two from his right shoulder to left waist by one swift strike of Fei’s blade!
“Hurry back to reincarnate, and I can shoot you out again!”
“From three ters away, against the wall!”
Fei Xinyu roared with laughter, his voice thunderous. His sword clashed with the weapons of five enemies in a row, causing them all to stumble back, but Fei Xinyu stood his ground, indestructible.
Like a god descending to earth.
“My sons, if you grow up well, maybe you could spar with your old man. But it seems your reincarnations aren’t working out. Did your adoptive parents not feed you? Or is it that you’ve inherited a nature of cowardice? Is that all you have in you? Seems like your adoptive mom isn’t having a good ti either… Do you want
to go lend a hand?”
“Your adoptive dad probably isn’t as potent as I am. Look at you kids, sigh, how did you not inherit anything from ? Rember for next reincarnation, this is a technical matter, don’t rush it.”
Fei Xinyu was cursing while he was in combat.
People often say ‘sharp-tongue is invincible’, but only those witnessing the scene would understand what it ans.
The opponents in front of him were already no match for him, but hearing his taunts made them tremble with rage, as if they were being backfilled with shit.
One was so furious, his pupils began to flood with blood, nearly suffering a hemorrhagic stroke on the spot.
Over on another front, Wu Tiejun was also in battle.
He was even fiercer, taking on twelve adversaries single-handedly.
Not only was he fighting, but he also kept an eye on Fei Xinyu’s side, ready to assist at any mont.
Because he was well aware of Fei Xinyu’s strength, well, not in terms of martial prowess, but rather his exceptional talent in attracting enmity. It was incredibly easy for him to draw all the enemies to him.
Sotis, this led to his comrades following his lead, not having any enemy left to fight because they all went to gang up on Fei Xinyu.
Countless n in black surged like a tidal wave, rushing towards Fei Xinyu and Wu Tiejun, targeting them for a priority assault.
If Wu Tiejun and Fei Xinyu were ordinary Rainbow Green Clothes level soldiers, they would have long been surrounded and slaughtered by the enemy. However, who were they?! Even though their current status might be akin to ants, they both had the strength of a thousand-man general!
Facing such an ambush, they were more than able to handle themselves.
Wu Tiejun even took the ti to strip the clothes off a corpse, revealing a uniform emblazoned with the symbol of a black hawk’s wing.
He couldn’t help but roar angrily, “Black Feather of Great Yan’s Feiyi Hall? You guys have so nerve!”
In the cave, waves of n in black rushed out. Seeing that Wu Tiejun didn’t fall for their trap and rush into the cave, they had no choice but to co out and fight.
Wu Tiejun barked an order, “Retreat from the cave!”
Since the enemy had ambushers hiding deep within the cave, they surely had the upper hand.
The mont Wu Tiejun entered the cave, he made a snap decision to cease advancing, and thus was still near the mouth of the cave. Retreating was therefore incredibly easy.
“Boss, the enemy shouldn’t have launched an arrow attack when we just entered the cave. Even though the vice captain’s cursing was effective, the enemy shouldn’t have given in so hastily, thus alerting us. If they really had an ambush set up in the cave, why would they have ambushed us at the entrance? If we retreat, aren’t we falling into their trap?” a man clad in green asked carefully.
A hint of a smile played at the corner of Wu Tiejun’s mouth, “Just follow my lead!”
Fei Xinyu was shouting and hollering, “My sons! You motherfuckers, more than thirty of you crowding around , can’t wait to be shot out again by your old man? You’re going to wear your father out! Your father’s life hasn’t been easy, tirelessly laboring. I couldn’t put you in the most suitable place, but instead had to sar you against the cold wall. Your father is ashad… hey, you dare rebel?!”
Shouting and screaming, he berated his foes while fighting. But more and more enemies gathered around him. They didn’t respond to his taunts and remained silent, focusing on madly stabbing at him.
Because they had self-awareness.
You should never fight about words with this guy in combat. You’d fall unconscious due to anger in the middle of the battle…
By then, he would have taken a significant advantage.
This had actually happened on more than one occasion.
As they ganged up on him, Fei Xinyu let out a screech. He was slashed several tis.
“You unfilial sons, making your father bleed… Don’t you know a drop of sperm is worth ten drops of blood… You’ve just killed many of your brothers, it breaks my heart… Fuck your grandpa Wu Tiejun, aren’t you going to co help and get your father out? I’m about to start cursing…”
Wu Tiejun quickly rushed to help, leading his n forward and whisking Fei Xinyu away from the fray.
With a shout, they charged out.
They really couldn’t afford to be cursed out by him.
…
Outside.
All the people waiting could only stare at the cave entrance in silence.
All of a sudden, there was a thunderous explosion, reverberating abruptly and assaulting countless ears!
Everyone instinctively looked in the direction of the sound, only to see a mass of dust and smoke abruptly billowing up towards the sky.
Imdiately after, Wu Tiejun’s incensed voice echoed through the heavens, “Feiyi Hall of Great Yan? You really have so nerve!”
Then, the rainbow-dressed n who had just rushed in hurriedly retreated like a receding tide.
Subsequently, countless n in black clothes charged out.
Ma Qiange, standing at a high point, wore a chilling expression as he made a sweeping gesture with his hand.
All the archers of Great Qin had already taken their positions. A rain of arrows instantly obscured the entrance to the cave. The arrows shot out at that mont, if bundled together, could perfectly block the cave’s entrance!
Screams of agony filled the air, followed by a fierce battle between the n in green and a group of black-clad n. In the blink of an eye, they were intertwined in a chaotic lee, creating no room for the archers to partake.
More n in black continued to rush out from the ground, from the cave, from the dense forest, joining the fray.
The skilled warriors in rainbow-colored clothes outside were also drawing their swords and unsheathing their knives, joining the battle.
Wu Tiejun let out a long, piercing yell and charged out, looking like a blood-soaked man.
Every drop of blood on him was his enemy’s. His broadsword had already ford an unstoppable light barrier, sweeping through all resistance.
Where he passed, bodies fell like dominoes.
He roared, “The rivers and lakes have their own rules, each nation has its own territory. Feiyi Hall of Great Yan, why have you blatantly crossed into the territory of Great Qin? What is your purpose?”
A cold voice retorted, “What’s the matter? This place was discovered by our Great Yan’s Purple Emperor and was personally cleared of demonic powers by him. It is rightfully the result of our Great Yan’s labor. Yet you of Great Qin dare to covet it? Have you no sha!”
Wu Tiejun bristled in fury: “This is Great Qin territory, and we won’t tolerate such insolence from the people of Yan State!”
“Concerning the battle between humans and demons, talking about national boundaries is irrelevant. Wu Tiejun, you’re getting more and more senile!”
A casual voice chid in, “Enough with the pointless words, let’s just wipe them out!”
The battle cry, almost simultaneous, erupted into a roar.
Amongst the thick dust in the sky, suddenly a dozen black shadows soared across like lightning. As the dust dispersed, they erged. Their blades shone brightly in the sunlight as they lunged straight towards Wu Tiejun.
“Inferiors!”
A long drawn howl.
In the smoke and dust, a figure dressed in green appeared like a wraith, charging up to the sky. With a re flick of the wrist, a long sword was drawn. The glint of the blade was rapid, and two of the black-masked n were cut into four pieces in mid-air.
The shiny blade traced a rainbow-like path, crisscrossing across the sky. The other black-clad n quickly made way, dare not to face his strikes directly.
The blade shimred in the sunlight, producing a dazzling rainbow under the sunlight.
Dominating the sky, standing as if on solid ground with a stern expression, he yelled, “Miao Sensen, co forth and et your death!”
It was none other than He Bibiqu, the supre commander of the Rainbow Heavenly Clothes Division from the Tiannan District.
To his surprise, a black figure erged in mid-air before him, sneering, “He Bibiqu, despite your severe injuries, you old fool daringly led the team here. It seems you’ve grown tired of living. You won’t be going back today, let
send you to your grave!”
The man’s voice was raspy, like a wire brush rubbing against a rusted pipe, making everyone uncomfortable.
He Bibiqu calmly responded, “Even if I’m injured, so what? Could it be that the Flaming Serpent Poison you were afflicted with years ago has entirely healed? How co your voice still sounds so strangled?”
Miao Sensen’s eyes glinted like a venomous snake, radiating a bloody light. He slowly drew his sword, and with his hoarse voice, retorted, “He Bibiqu, this kind of verbal sparring won’t be able to determine life or death.”
He Bibiqu calmly said, “I had the exact thought.”
With a ringing sound, Miao Sensen unsheathed his sword.
Despite his raspy, unpleasant voice, his sword emitted a glorious light.
“He Bibiqu, your life is mine today!”
Without uttering another word, He Bibiqu brandished his blade. The energy from each strike shattered space as he coldly stated, “The people under the sky who want my life number more than a million. Consider yourself among the throng! Let’s see who kills who!”
With that, there was a loud noise as their weapons clashed, sparks scattering in all directions. Both their bodies swayed from the aftershock of the collision, expelling all smoke and dust in a radius of dozens of feet.
Yet, the dust on the ground began to rise again.
The two figures spun, their blades and shadows intertwining instantaneously, completely shielding each other’s forms.
In mid-air, the sword Qi soared skyward, reflecting the sunlight, and they clashed fiercely.
Below, all the rainbow-clothed n and the black-clad assailants who were lying in ambush started to fight, and the situation was growing more and more intense.
