"I have the power to evolve them," Mike replied simply. "My companion created them, and I refined them. That’s all there is to it."

The Vampire King laughed weakly. "Then kill . I’ll just be reborn again. This place is my prison... and my throne."

Mike didn’t respond imdiately.

He looked at the broken figure before him, rembering what he’d learned about the dungeons of the Origin World—how the dungeon was a cage, how those sealed inside were the worst of the worst, beings so dangerous that the Origin World had cast them away to rot forever.

So were monsters.

So were tyrants.

So had once been kings.

And none of them were innocent.

It was a prison created by the Will of the Origin itself—a place ant to eternally tornt those deed too dangerous to exist freely.

Of course, even such prisons were not eternal. There were records of dungeons collapsing, of sealed beings finally eting their end.

That was why Mike didn’t bother listening to the Vampire King’s rambling any longer.

He raised his blade and brought it down.

The Vampire King’s head fell, rolling across the ruined stone as his body disintegrated into ash.

[You have slain the Level 300 Vampire King – Boss]

[A Great Achievent]

[You have obtained a fragnt of the power of the Apex Rulers of Blood]

[All attributes have permanently increased by 50 points]

[You have acquired the Unique Skill: Super Regeneration]

[You have acquired High-Grade Blood Affinity]

[You have acquired the Epic Skill: Blood Explosion]

A crimson glow erupted where the Vampire King had fallen. The ashes gathered together, compressing and reshaping until they ford a treasure chest etched with blood-red runes.

Mike stepped forward and opened it.

Inside lay three items.

A staff.

A cloak.

And a skill book.

"Hm... two pieces of equipnt and a skill book this ti," Mike muttered as he reached for the book first.

[Blood Regeneration]

Rank: Unique

Description:

Allows the user to regenerate health, mana, and stamina by consuming blood—either their own or that of enemies. The higher the quality of the blood, the stronger the regeneration effect.

Note: Only Vampires or Blood-related classes can learn this skill.

"Damn... this is a good skill," Mike muttered. "But drinking blood? Yeah, no thanks."

He grimaced slightly and stored the skill book away.

"Unless I turn into a vampire soday, this one’s useless."

His gaze then shifted to the second item—the cloak.

[Cloak of the Crownless King]

Rank: Epic

Description:

A cloak created through an ancient ritual in which a king bathed himself in the blood of ten thousand virgins while wearing it to complete the forbidden transformation into a Vampire King.

Skill – Souls of Disaster:

• Allows the user to store the souls of defeated beings.

• Stored souls can be summoned to fight on the user’s behalf.

• Summoned souls retain their strength from when they were alive.

• Current capacity: 3 souls.

• Only the souls of soone weaker then user can be stored.

"Hm... it’s a soul-type artifact," Mike muttered, unease creeping into his voice as he looked at the cloak again. "The description alone gives chills..."

He hesitated for a mont before finally shaking his head.

"I’ll decide later."

With that, he stored the cloak back into his inventory. Bathed in the blood of ten thousand virgins aning it potentialy can have children blood that alone gave him chills.

Turning his attention to the last item, Mike pulled out the staff that had dropped alongside the cloak. Unlike the others, it didn’t radiate overwhelming pressure, but a faint, steady mana flow could still be felt from it.

He activated Appraisal.

[Staff of Crimson Depths]

Rank: Rare

Description:

A staff forged using condensed blood crystals and enchanted bone. Though it was discarded when the Blood mage prince turned himself into a Vampire. It is highly compatible with blood- and dark-attribute magic.

Effects:

• Increases Blood-elent spell damage by 20%

• Slightly enhances mana regeneration

• Boosts control over blood-based spells

Skill : Blood Reversal

If the blood of the enemy stains the staff, the opponets gets all their stats reduced by 20% and the power of Blood magic increases by another 30%.]

Mike nodded, observing the staff. "Hmm... it’s a good staff for a Blood Mage."

He then examined the other skills he had gained from absorbing part of the Vampire King. The super-regeneration ability healed both health and stamina. As long as he had mana, he could regenerate from any wound—even severed limbs or a blasted heart—so long as his head remained attached to his body. Essentially, he could recover from almost any injury, except one that cut of his head.

"Now, let’s see what Blood Explosion can do," Mike mumbled, reading the skill’s description.

Blood Explosion could ignite all the blood he had shed into a powerful explosion, turning even his injuries into devastating attacks.

"Both skills are good, and I even got the High-Grade Blood Affinity," Mike smiled, looking at his stats, which had grown by 50 points each, and his level—which was already 200, even before he killed the Vampire King.

His Rank 2 advancent quest was already available. It required him to kill a Rank 1 peak boss, and he was also testing whether using the undead sustained on Lily’s mana can help him complete his advancent quest.

And, it didn’t register the kill.

"Hmm... weird. I got the achievent, but this advancent quest wasn’t completed," he mumbled.

"Maybe the advancent quest is more strict," he thought, shaking his head.

"Now, let’s divide my stat points too. After all, they multiply after a rank-up—leaving them unassigned is nothing but wasted potential," Mike mumbled, looking at his 200 stat points.

He then distributed them: 60 points each to Strength and Constitution, his main stats as a Knight, and 40 points each to Agility and Intelligence, his secondary stats.
