Chapter 834: 418, escaped a disaster
At this mont, Jack, sitting in the courtyard of the police station, had a slight smile on his lips. Two out of four people were already dead, leaving only the last two.
Just as Jack was pondering how to judge the remaining two people, Chief David’s voice interrupted his thoughts:
“Jack, co over here, I have sothing I want to ask you.”
“Oh.”
Jack responded softly, got up and walked over to Chief David, and asked, “Chief, what do you want to ask ?”
“You… and Aix are both students at the Los Angeles Police Academy. Are you two familiar with each other?” Chief David glanced around and asked in a lowered voice.
Hearing Chief David ask this, and recalling that Alicia Linder had spoken with Chief David before she left, Jack imdiately understood that Alicia Linder suspected Aix was the Dark Law Enforcer.
Thinking of this, Jack shook his head and truthfully answered, “Not very familiar, we didn’t even know each other before the practical training.”
“Oh, I see.” Chief David nodded thoughtfully and then asked, “What kind of person do you think Aix is?”
What kind of person?
Jack frowned and thought about it. It had been less than a day since they’d t, and when considering what kind of person Aix was, his first reaction was that the man was very peculiar.
From the mont he got off the bus yesterday, Aix proactively greeted him, yet his eyes lacked any curiosity or sincerity, like a stagnant pool with no ripples.
Also, during yesterday’s search in the woods, Aix seed to be sightseeing, yet he was the first to notice those few easily overlooked bloodstains.
So, Jack felt that Aix was a very peculiar person. However, he didn’t plan to tell Chief David all this, as he still wasn’t sure about Chief David’s true intentions.
“I think Aix is quite cheerful, enthusiastic, and very ticulous.” After pondering for a while, Jack replied.
“Alright, I understand.” Chief David showed no abnormal expression, “You have nothing more, don’t wander around, just stay here.”
“Okay, I understand, Chief David.”
Jack nodded, turned and left, but his mind was racing, and his heart wasn’t as calm as it appeared on the surface.
From yesterday to today, Jack had never doubted Aix’s identity. He felt that although Aix seed a bit strange, everyone’s personality is different, and being different from ordinary people was also normal.
But when he recalled the expressionless look on Aix’s face when he ca out of the interrogation room earlier, he started to have so doubts about Aix.

In the footage, Alicia Linder frowned, her eyes fixed on the intact police car, while Tom and Robert, who were supposed to be in handcuffs in the car, were nowhere to be seen.
“What’s going on? How could they let them escape at such a critical mont? How did they get the key?!” Alicia Linder questioned.
Standing behind her, Qiao lowered his head and replied with a guilty expression, “I was careless. Those two punks have been in detention for a long ti, probably learning tricks of the trade inside.”
“Forget it, hurry up and get in the car to chase them. They may not have gone far, and hopefully, the Dark Law Enforcer doesn’t find them before we do.”
Alicia Linder finished speaking and got into the car.
