Chapter 831: 417, Death God

Upon hearing this, Tom Hanks nodded. anwhile, standing beside profiler Emily Johnson, forensic scientist Sofia White confidently placed an arm around Emily Johnson’s shoulder and said, “Don’t worry, with here, not a single clue left on the body will escape my notice. When the ti cos, just ask , and I’ll tell you everything.”

Profiler Emily Johnson then shrank her neck, letting out an awkward chuckle.

Although Tom Hanks was satisfied with the significantly narrowed list of suspects, the escalation in the criminal’s thods introduced an elent of uncertainty to a case that had otherwise been going smoothly.

Thinking of this, Tom Hanks redirected his gaze to the large screen. At that mont, the live stream was showing Jack and Alicia Linder.

Alicia Linder was staring intently at Jack with a look full of vigilance and assessnt.

Jack then feigned innocence, his face full of confusion, and asked, “Officer Alicia, what’s the matter?”

“Nothing.”

Alicia Linder replied coldly, then turned and walked out of the interrogation room. Her suspicion towards Jack also diminished considerably. After all, when the voice of the Dark Law Enforcer rang out, Jack’s mouth stayed shut, and the shock in his eyes didn’t seem fabricated.

Seeing that the wariness in Alicia Linder’s eyes lessened, Jack secretly breathed a sigh of relief. If Alicia Linder dismissed her suspicion based on such a trivial point, she was utterly unqualified to be roped in by him.

Even if he hadn’t spoken, it could be an already prepared recording, or there could be others involved. Ruling out a suspect solely on not speaking is far from sufficient.

Moreover, Jack had a system. He simply needed to relay what he wanted to say to the system in his mind, and his voice could be spread through it.

Just as Jack was about to step out of the interrogation room, Tom, face full of terror, shouted loudly:

“You can’t leave! Didn’t you hear the Dark Law Enforcer wants to kill ? You damned better protect !”

Just as Jack was about to step out of the interrogation room, Tom shouted loudly in terror:

“You can’t leave! Didn’t you hear the Dark Law Enforcer wants to kill ? You damned better protect !”

The na of Dark Law Enforcer is widely known in the United States, so Tom naturally had heard of it. Not only that, but he had watched the Dark Law Enforcer’s live streams. Just that, seeing those childish contraptions designed by the Dark Law Enforcer, he found them extrely juvenile.

Tom believed that murder was supposed to be straightforward and direct; spending a lot of ti creating chanisms to kill was far less efficient than a straight stab.

Furthermore, when others viewed the Dark Law Enforcer as a symbol of justice and a great hero of punishing evil, Tom thought the Dark Law Enforcer was nothing but a hypocritical liar.

His own style was direct, whereas the Dark Law Enforcer always pretended to have so-called evidence. Especially the last case with Oscar, saying Oscar killed nearly a thousand people—Tom didn’t buy it at all.

Police aren’t fools. Killing so many people, how could the police be oblivious?

So, to him, the Dark Law Enforcer only fabricated evidence that appeared plausible to satisfy his own bloodthirsty desire.

But now, when Tom truly faced the threat of the Dark Law Enforcer, all the disdain and thoughts of him being a liar instantly turned into fear, a profound fear of death.

This fear was even more intense than when the police found him.

Because Tom knew, police were bound by law and couldn’t do much to him, whereas the Dark Law Enforcer was different—a ruthless killer who could take his life in the next second.

Helpless, he could only seek help from the police.

Upon hearing Tom’s shout, Jack rely glanced at him coldly before turning to step out of the interrogation room.

Outside the interrogation room stood all the police officers from the North Suburb station. Their expressions were tense, eyes darting around cautiously, as if the Dark Law Enforcer was Death God, ready to appear silently at any mont.

Alicia Linder was standing in the yard, talking with Chief David. Seeing Jack co out, she walked over.

“Didn’t I tell you to return to the officer’s dormitory? Why are you still here? Hurry and leave, no matter what happens, don’t co out,” Alicia Linder instructed sternly, fixing her gaze on Jack.

However, at this mont, an appalling scream suddenly echoed from Interrogation Room No. 1. Following this, the room’s door was violently thrown open, and a young officer, his face covered in blood, rushed out from inside.

Alicia Linder imdiately ran over, disregarding Jack. She took a glance inside and her pupils constricted violently. A teenager lay face-up in a pool of blood, eyes wide open in horror.

Upon witnessing the youth’s grueso death, she turned to question the young officer who had rushed out: “Aix! What’s going on? What happened just now?!”

Aix, wiping the blood off his face, calmly replied, “It was all a coincidence. Following the chief’s orders, I attempted to take Adam to a designated location, but he suddenly fell. I tried to pull him, and then he was dead.”
