Chapter 802: 402 United at the Mont of Life and Death?_2

While the viewers in the livestream were fiercely debating, Mark had already unlocked the collar around his neck with the key.

At this mont, only forty seconds remained on the countdown tir, and the tension grew so thick it was suffocating…

When they saw Mark unlock the collar, Oscar and the other three froze instantly. They never expected Mark would be able to get the key so quickly. However, at that mont, a sliver of hope flashed in their hearts—after all, now there was soone who might help them retrieve the remaining keys.

“Mark, hurry and take the key out of the box for !” Oscar shouted urgently, his face lighting up with joy, as if he had caught hold of his last straw.

Seeing this, Tom, David, and Ben followed suit, yelling at Mark:

“Mark, quick, give the key, I’m begging you, I don’t want to die!”

“Mark, we’re brothers who fought together! You get the key first; there’s really no ti left!”

“Yeah, Mark, the countdown is almost over, hurry and grab the key to save us!”

Mark remained emotionless, rely nodding his head slightly without saying a word. He slowly turned around and walked to Oscar’s glass box, smashing the glass with force, extracting the key inside, and tossing it casually to Oscar.

Witnessing this, the livestream audience started to beco deeply anxious.

“What the hell? What’s going on? Just now they were fighting to the death, and now, in a matter of seconds, they’ve forgotten everything? They’re even helping each other get keys.”

“Host, hurry and stop them! If this continues, these villains will escape this place unscathed. That can’t happen!”

“The host really didn’t think this through this ti. Leaving such a big loophole for these five scumbags is unforgivable. If they get away, catching them again in the future will be nearly impossible!”

“This is so unsatisfying to watch—a bunch of villains getting a free pass to escape. Really hope the host’s next challenge is more ingenious, so they won’t succeed so easily again.”

“Honestly, I’d rather these people escape. Against a psychotic host who kills people for sport, they’d be better off surrendering to the police. At least they’d get to keep their bodies intact.”

While the audience in the livestream fervently discussed, filled with worry, the scene showed Mark smashing open the remaining three glass boxes in succession and successfully retrieving the three remaining keys.

Holding all three keys tightly in his hand, Tom, David, and Ben’s faces lit up with delight instantly.

Tom bead with joy and couldn’t help but exclaim, “I didn’t expect it—at the critical mont, it’s still Mark who we can rely on! Thank you so much, Mark!”

Ben quickly nodded, his face plastered with a sycophantic smile, and said, “Exactly, Mark really is the most loyal one among us. But now’s not the ti to say much—we need to hurry and unlock the collars. Mark, co on, give the key!”

But suddenly, Mark burst into laughter, his eyes gleaming with sarcasm, with no intention of tossing the keys to them whatsoever. Monts later, his lips curled into a mocking smirk as he said, “Reliable? Hah! You’re not wrong—my greatest flaw might just be that I’m too easy to take advantage of. You’ve all treated like a fool for years.”

With that, Mark swung his arm sharply, tossing the three keys with trendous force behind him. The keys hit the wall with a crisp sound. Gradually, his smile faded, replaced by a twisted expression as he yelled loudly, “Whenever there’s danger, you run faster than anyone; but when there’s money to be earned, you cling to like leeches. Just now, did any of you care whether I lived or died? Why should I save you? You want to survive? Fine, go get the keys yourselves!”

“What the hell is wrong with you right now?”

Seeing the keys thrown away, Tom’s face turned beet red with fury as he cursed loudly, his mind consud by murderous rage.

Ben’s eyes widened, his expression vicious, as he snarled, “Damn it! If it weren’t for us, you’d still be groveling in so forgotten corner! You ungrateful bastard!”

David looked terrified, his tone full of pleading, “Mark, we’re sworn brothers. Even if these two don’t care about you, I’ve never done anything to wrong you. Give the key—let those two scumbags die here!”

“Hah!” Mark sneered, turning his gaze to David. “You rember we’re sworn brothers? Five years ago, when we were being chased by those people in New York, you were the one who abandoned halfway. If it weren’t for Brother Oscar arriving with reinforcents in ti, I’d have died in the wilderness outside New York!”

Letting out a long breath, Mark continued, “Anyway, all of you are full of clever tricks. If you want to survive, figure it out yourselves. Don’t count on being your sucker again!”

Oscar, having unlocked the collar around his neck, silently walked to Mark’s side, coldly watching Tom, David, and Ben without uttering a word, as if enjoying a farcical performance.

Now, the one-minute countdown was nearing its end.

Seeing the little ti remaining, Tom’s face was etched with panic and fear. After hesitating for a second, he gritted his teeth and fell to his knees with a heavy thud against the floor. Bowing deeply, he kowtowed to Mark repeatedly and pleaded bitterly, “I was wrong—it’s all my fault. I’m just a piece of trash. Mark, for the sake of all these years we’ve been friends, please give the key. I don’t want to die!”

The other two saw this and quickly followed suit, dropping to their knees with loud thuds, pleading to Mark while frantically kowtowing.

“I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, please, Mark! Forgive this once—I really don’t want to die!”

“Mark, even if I’m a scumbag, I’m still your sworn brother! For the sake of our history, I’m begging you—give the key. I promise I’ll change!”

Looking at the three in their pathetic state, Mark burst into laughter, though his laughter was laced with contempt. He still showed no intention of retrieving the thrown keys.

At this mont, the countdown tir ticked down to its final ten seconds. The shadow of death drew ever closer…

Watching the screen’s drama unfold like an unpredictable, tumultuous soap opera, the livestream audience was left dumbfounded, unable to process the whirlwind of plot twists.

“No way, no way. I feel like my brain can’t keep up with this pace. What the hell are these people doing? Didn’t they already get the keys? Why’d they suddenly toss them again? This plot is changing way too fast!”

“Looks like it’s because those three had previous conflicts with Mark. When they needed sothing from him, they treated him like a brother. But once they didn’t need him anymore, they tossed him aside like trash. Now it’s karma coming full circle—Mark clearly won’t hand over those keys easily.”

“Honestly, stuff like this happens all the ti in real life. People like them don’t know what true friendship is. When they’re in power, they act all mighty, ignoring anyone else’s suffering. Once they lose power, they beg like dogs wagging their tails. It’s just sickening to see.”

“That’s just human nature—self-interest above all. Don’t act like you’re any better. Deep down, everyone’s like that. It’s just that so people are better at hiding it. Stop pretending to be superior—I’m done arguing with you. I’d rather just enjoy watching the stream.”

While the livestream audience passionately discussed Tom, David, and Ben’s actions, the countdown tir’s cold, rciless ticks reached zero.

Kneeling on the ground, Tom, David, and Ben, seeing the end of the countdown and realizing that all hope was lost, finally stopped struggling. Their eyes brimd with despair and madness as they remained on their knees, pointing at Mark and unleashing a torrent of curses.
