"What will you do to ? I am telling you. If you lay a hand on , I will sue you for dostic violence." Vernon took a step back in wariness.

Helena’s lips twitched. she just scoffed and sat back on the bed. "So, nothing really happened between us, right?"

"Of course nothing happened. You didn’t even drink yesterday. How could you not notice if sothing were to happen between us?" Vernon saw that she was no longer angry and calmly explained.

Helena thought for a second and felt he made sense. "hmm. You are right. But why did you sleep in my room?"

When she asked the sa question again, Vernon was stunned. "Didn’t I tell you? You stopped from leaving. I had no choice but to sleep here as well."

"I did that? Why would I?" Helena looked at him skeptically.

"How would I know? Anyway, I had no choice either. You forced ."

Helena’s lips twitched. Why does he sound like she forced herself on him? He even dared to feel aggrieved?

"Why don’t I rember forcing you? As you said, I didn’t drink yesterday, right?" Helena asked in doubt.

Whatever Vernon said, she doesn’t rember at all.

Vernon frowned, "Yes. Why don’t you rember?"

"That’s what I asked you."

"If you ask , who should I ask?" Vernon asked back and Helena was dumbfounded.

But he was right.

She was the one who forgot. If she forgot, how would Vernon know?

Suddenly she heard Vernon asking her, "What is your age?"

She raised her head to look at him. He looked at her tentatively.

He looked hesitant to ask the question but bit the bullet and did it anyway.

She did not understand what he was thinking or why he asked such a question.

She wanted to call him crazy but seeing his expression, she held back.

She frowned but answered nonetheless, "twenty two. Don’t you know that already?"

Vernon seed to freeze but he tried his best to mask his doubts and emotions so hard that Helena had to pretend not to see anything.

Helena sighed and asked softly, "Why did you ask that?"

Vernon looked at her. He did not know what to tell her. He had many doubts to himself already.

The night before, Helena clearly said that she was thirty three. So, he thought that Helena went back in ti just like he did.

He thought that after waking up, he had to start making plans about dealing with that Helena.

After all, the young Helena is a sweet and simple lady. Once he asked for the divorce, she agreed without a word.

But the Helena from ten years later is completely opposite.

No matter how he asked for the divorce, she would just look at him and warn him saying ’You are mine’. He heard that phrase so many tis already that he would sotis even dream of Helena saying that.

Helena in the banquet said the sa thing. And the Helena at ho the night before said the sa thing.

So, he was almost sure that she ca back to this ti period just like he did.

But now Helena was saying that she was twenty two.

(Was she lying?

Was she pretending to be young so that I wouldn’t find out?)

He doubted her and looked at her with a scrutinizing gaze.

[Why is he looking at like that? Is there sothing on my face? Did I drool in my sleep?] Helena thought to herself and even touched her face with her fingers to check.

Of course, she did not find anything.

[There is nothing. Then why is he looking at like that? Did I do sothing last night? Why exactly did I make him stay in my room? Is he lying to ?

[No. No. He wouldn’t lie to about that. If he really wanted to stay in my room, he wouldn’t have the thought of divorcing in the first place. So, he did not lie. Then why did I make him stay?

[Wait. I forced him to stay? Did I do sothing to him after forcing him? Did I really force myself on him? Is that why he wrapped himself in the blanket earlier? To save his body from my clutches? Damn it! Helena, have you gone crazy? What have you done? Why did you do that? Are you a dog in heat?]

She started to scold herself and Vernon was dumbfounded.

He was sure about two things. She really did not rember what happened the night before. And she wasn’t pretending.

She really is the young Helena.

He sighed as he felt his head ache.

"Relax. Nothing happened at night. You just hugged my waist and fell asleep. We did that so many tis when we were kids anyway. Don’t worry too much about last night. I will leave now." He tried to calm Helena so that she would stop scolding herself for sothing she had not done.

He turned around to leave the room when Helena’s phone rang.

Helena scolded, "Tch. Who exactly is that? Calling relentlessly early in the morning?"

She took the phone out to answer.

Vernon recalled that they woke up because of the call. He frowned and stopped to find who was calling her like that.

"hello." Helena said to the phone.

"What? Kidnapped? How did that happen?" Helena asked suddenly and straightened her back as she sat on the bed.

Her brows furrowed together as she looked genuinely worried.

Vernon looked at her in shock. (Kidnapped? Who? Sister-in-law? Didn’t Brother already make the arrangents to keep her safe? How is she kidnapped?)

"Vernon? He is with , Brother Vincent. His phone?" She looked at Vernon asked him, "Where is your phone?"

Vernon looked around and then checked his pockets. He shook his head, "I think it’s in the other room."

He intended to say that it was in his room but since his brother might hear his words he changed the words.
