But wouldn’t pushing him away hurt his feelings?
rlin was conflicted as he really did not understand how to react to his predicant.
Thus he kept his arms awkwardly in the middle of the air.
"Vernon. What do you think you are doing? You are making Brother rlin feel awkward. Can’t you see?" They did not notice when, but Helena had returned and started scolding Vernon while she pulled the man away from rlin, trying to rescue the latter.
rlin sighed in relief, seeing soone co to his rescue. He even gave her a smile of gratitude.
"Ahh!!" Just as he felt thankful, he felt pain from the back of his head. "What are you doing?" He asked Vernon.
"Brother rlin, I am sorry but my watch is stuck in your hair. I can’t get it out," Vernon’s voice was heard right beside his ears.
rlin closed his eyes. ’What bad luck!’ He lanted to himself but did not say anything out loud.
"Just remove it slowly. It hurts," rlin said softly.
"Yes, yes. Please wait a second." Vernon said as he was twisting his arm on his back.
"Helena, co help please," Vernon called Helena for help.
"Huh? Oh, okay. I am coming. Show ." Helena imdiately went and stood behind rlin and looked at the back of his head.
As soon as she faced Vernon, he winked at her. Helena smiled and gave him a nod. They colluded to pluck a few strands of rlin’s hair before letting the man go.
"I am sorry, Brother rlin. I did not expect that to happen. I sotis forget everything and beco too emotional for my own good. I am really sorry," Vernon apologized for both hugging him out of the blue and causing him pain.
rlin lightly massaged his head and shook his head, "It’s okay."
Helena, too, apologized a couple of tis to him on behalf of Vernon. rlin had to repeat that it was fine a few tis before the young couple stopped. He then excused himself and said he had to leave the party.
Helena and Vernon escorted him out of the venue before bidding him goodbye.
Once rlin was out of sight, Helena and Vernon looked at each other.
"You got them?" Helena asked him.
"Yes." Vernon raised his hand and showed her a few strands of black hair.
"I brought a small bag for it when I left earlier. Here, put them in so we won’t lose them." Helena took out a small plastic clear bag and put the strands in it carefully.
They had to be very careful with these strands because if this chance was lost once, they wouldn’t get them again.
"Noah," Vernon called for his assistant.
He then gave him the plastic bag in his hand. Then he casually raised his hand and plucked a few strands of hair from Helena’s scalp.
"Ahh! What are you doing?" Helena slapped his arm imdiately. It hurts a lot, alright?
"We need your hair as well. Don’t you know that?" Vernon just shrugged and asked casually as he placed the strands in the bag.
Helena glared at him. "I know that. But you could take them gently as well. You don’t have to be so rough, you know?"
"Rough? Was I rough? I thought I was gentle enough. Poor Brother rlin. He was the one suffered for real, alright?" Vernon gave her a look of disdain for not being able to take the pain.
Helena glared at him. She raised her hand and pulled his hair and let him go.
"Ahh! What was that for?" Vernon held his head in his hands pitifully.
"That’s called revenge. Hmph."
"Revenge? For what?"
"For the pain you caused and also Brother rlin." Helena smirked at the end. If she said just for herself, she was sure Vernon would say sothing. But if she used Brother rlin’s na, she was sure he would just swallow his words and pain in.
Vernon gritted his teeth. He did not back down. He pulled her hair once again and said, "For whom did I do all this, huh? You should thank instead of taking revenge on . Hmph."
"What? You an you don’t want to do that but I forced you?" Helena looked at him in anger and pulled his hair.
"Ahh! You pulled my hair again? You wait!!" Vernon placed the plastic bag filled with her hair in Noah’s hands and used both his hands to grab her hair.
"Ahh! What are you doing? You are spoiling my hairstyle." Helena scread and then used both her hands to grab his hair, mimicking him.
Just like that, a man and a woman were standing staring into each other’s eyes in the middle of the night at the entrance of a huge stadium.
If it was anyone else or if they were doing sothing else, it would have been a very romantic sight.
But to destroy all the romance, the man and the woman were holding each other’s hair like they held a grudge against each other since their past lives.
Thankfully there was no one around.
But Noah, who was stuck between the couple, felt awkward being the only spectator of such a spectacle.
He did not dare to look nor disturb them. He also did not dare to leave without their permission. They had yet to tell him what he had to do with the two plastic bags in his hands after all.
With no other choice, he closed his eyes and lowered his head, pretending to be dead.
"Release."
"No, you release first."
"No, you."
"No, you."
"No, you."
"No, you."
They bickered like kids more than real kids would ever.
"Haha. That was funny," A sudden voice rang from the side and the young couple instantly released each other’s hair.
They coughed and cleared their throats. Their faces were red. They had completely forgotten where they were and what they were doing.
They did not dare to look at the person who just spoke.
