Elliot was gone.
That was a truth he had accepted a long ti ago.
The mont he woke up in this world, inside the frail body of a newborn, he knew—his old life had ended. His past self, the boy who had lived on Earth, who had played gas late into the night, who had dread of a future that would never co—had perished.
In this new world, he was soone else.
His na was Echo Redis.
The Redis Family
He was born to Raylan Redis and Eileen Redis, an ordinary couple in the city of Trulis. Their family was neither rich nor poor, neither noble nor commoner. They lived a stable, respectable life, far from the struggles of peasants yet far below the grandeur of the elite.
His father, Raylan, was a warrior—a man of discipline and strength. He had trained his body since his youth, tempering his energy until he reached the Unified Energy Realm. It was an achievent worthy of admiration, though he had only stepped into this level a year ago, making him a re beginner in the realm.
Even so, among the people of Trulis, he was considered strong. He worked as an instructor at the city’s academy, training young warriors who aspired to beco true fighters. His presence carried weight, and when he walked through the streets, people greeted him with respect.
Then there was Eileen, his mother.
Unlike her husband, she was not a warrior. She was a healer, soone who had devoted her energy to the path of restoration rather than destruction. She had only reached the Elentary Level in healing energy, making her skills modest—capable of treating minor injuries but nothing beyond that.
Yet, despite her simple abilities, she was kind, gentle, and endlessly patient. She did not work, nor did she seek recognition. She spent her days at ho, caring for her family and ensuring that their small household remained warm and peaceful.
Their ho was a modest but sturdy house near the heart of Trulis. It was not large, nor was it filled with luxury, but it was comfortable. The wooden floors creaked slightly with every step, and the scent of herbal dicine always lingered in the air, a testant to his mother’s constant work with healing redies.
To anyone else, this might have been an ordinary life.
But to Echo, it was a miracle.
Understanding the World
Four years had passed since he was reborn in this world. Four years of observing, learning, and adapting.
He had been cautious at first, unwilling to expose himself as anything other than a normal child. He had cried when expected, laughed when necessary, and played the role of an infant to perfection.
But beneath the surface, his mind had never stopped working.
By the ti he was two, he had already begun to piece together the basic structure of this world. He had listened to his father’s conversations with fellow warriors, absorbing their words like a sponge. He had watched his mother perform healing techniques, studying the way her energy flowed.
By three, he had started deciphering the written language. At first, it had been frustrating. The symbols were unlike anything he had ever seen, a complex system of runes and strokes that seed impossible to understand.
But he had refused to give up.
Day after day, he had studied, tracing the letters in the dirt, listening intently whenever his parents spoke. And finally, after a year of relentless effort, he had done it.
At the age of four, he could read and write fluently.
It was a simple achievent, one that any child in this world would eventually reach. But to him, it was a turning point.
For the first ti since his rebirth, he felt as though he had control.
A New Life Begins
Echo sat in the small courtyard behind their house, a piece of parchnt resting on his lap. The sun was warm, casting golden light over the stone path and the wooden fence that enclosed their ho.
His fingers traced the letters he had written, each stroke deliberate, each word a step forward.
This world was different.
Its power was dictated by energy—by those who could harness it, refine it, and wield it to shape their fate.
His father was a warrior. His mother was a healer.
And he?
He was still just a child.
But that would not last forever.
For now, he had achieved his first goal.
He had learned the language.
And with that knowledge, his true journey could finally begin.

Chapter 4 – The Awakening Test
The sun was just beginning to rise over the city of Trulis, painting the sky with streaks of orange and pink. The streets were slowly coming to life as rchants set up their stalls and early risers went about their morning routines. But today was different for Echo.
Today, he would finally discover what type of energy he possessed.
His father, Raylan, had woken him up early, telling him to get dressed because they would be heading to the academy together. Echo didn’t protest. He had been looking forward to this day ever since he started learning about energy and its different forms.
As they walked through the streets of Trulis, Echo noticed how people greeted his father with nods of respect. So even stopped to exchange a few words. Raylan was well-known as an instructor at the academy, and while he wasn’t the strongest warrior in the city, he was still soone people looked up to.
Eventually, they arrived at the Trulis Academy of Energy and Combat.
It was a massive building made of stone and reinforced wood, standing tall in the center of the city. The academy was where young warriors, healers, and mages trained to improve their abilities. It was a place filled with promise and potential, and today, Echo would take his first step into that world.
Inside the Academy
As they entered the academy, Echo could feel the energy in the air. Students of various ages were scattered across the halls, so practicing techniques while others engaged in conversations about their training. The academy was divided into sections for different energy types—warriors trained in combat halls, healers studied in the dical wing, and those with mana energy practiced their spells in designated chambers.
Raylan led Echo through the halls until they reached his personal office. It was a simple room with wooden shelves filled with books about combat and energy refinent. There was a sturdy wooden desk in the center, and next to it stood a small black stone resting on a pedestal.
Raylan turned to Echo and said, "Echo, this stone will tell us what kind of energy you have depending on the color it glows."
Echo looked at the stone with curiosity. He had read about energy awakening tests before, but experiencing it firsthand was sothing entirely different.
He hesitated for a mont before speaking.
"Well, I already know I have a unique ability," Echo said.
