Awakening:The Infinite Evolution of My Talent as a Low-Level Awakener Chapter 829: The Power Out of Control!
"Wood, what happened?"
Seeing Wood holding his battle blade, his expression slightly confused, Rein was the first to ask.
The other nine commanders and high-ranking officers also turned their gazes toward Wood, their eyes filled with disbelief and uncertainty.
As the captain of the legion's personal guard, Wood's strength was such that even a few commanders combined would struggle to fight him.
Yet now, in this state, they had never seen him like this before. Moreover, when Wood had gone to investigate earlier, a few of the commanders had intended to follow him. But as they prepared to leave, they felt the expansion of that overwhelming aura—like darkness devouring everything—it instilled a sense of helplessness, as if they couldn't fight back.
Thus, all eyes were fixed on Wood, hoping to gather so information from him.
"I..."
Wood paused, the confusion in his eyes quickly fading, replaced by a complex expression, before quickly settling into a calm deanor.
"I can't explain it clearly. You'll have to see for yourselves."
His face darkened slightly. He then concentrated and transmitted his mories directly to the other ten commanders.
Soon, as the commanders received Wood's mories, their faces changed dramatically, their expressions filled with horror and disbelief.
"What... what is that thing?"
Rein's face, stuffed with fat, twisted slightly, and his voice trembled with an unnoticeable quiver.
"How could such a thing exist within Abyssal Prison?"
"I felt evil—pure evil and greed emanating from it. It definitely does not co from the Eternal Light World, and it couldn't possibly be a creature born of Abyssal Prison!"
"Could it be sothing the Dream Spirit Empire sealed away?"
"Impossible! Didn't you see? It's devouring Abyssal Prison! If it can devour Abyssal Prison, what could possibly seal it?"
"A re portion of its scattered flesh has already overpowered Wood. If it suddenly appears..."
The commanders quickly exchanged thoughts through their minds.
This information must not be exposed to the other nightmare elites. Otherwise, the already unstable situation could collapse imdiately.
After the last voice faded, everyone fell silent.
From a single glimpse, they could deduce everything. With their experience, even though Wood had only exchanged a few strikes with the creature, they could analyze its power.
Even with the combined might of the ten commanders and thousands of nightmare elites, facing this strange and unknown creature filled them with a deep sense of helplessness.
"Perhaps its appearance is related to the War Commander."
Walker's voice echoed in everyone's minds, a psychic force that eased the tense and oppressive atmosphere considerably.
"War Commander?"
As soon as those words were spoken, a strange look appeared in the eyes of all the commanders.
They certainly understood that War Demon had been silently replaced, and perhaps the true War Demon had already fallen. As for the current one, they couldn't quite see through him, yet they were filled with a sense of deep unease.
Whether it was the thod used to break the seals or the power to dethrone the Nightmare Overlord, everything about him seed elusive.
Moreover, War Demon's deanor had always exuded absolute confidence, and given that, it was entirely possible that this mysterious monster originated from him.
Of course, this was just a hypothesis. After all, the monster was so powerful that even with an entire army gathered, they felt helpless in approaching it.
"I think it might be a monster that accidentally entered through a spatial rift."
"That's possible. There are countless rifts across the world, and even a space as small as the size of a thumbnail can contain over ten thousand rifts. Although no rifts have been discovered within the Eternal Light World so far, that doesn't an they don't exist."
"Rift creatures generally lack intelligence, acting purely on instinct, and their forms are unstable. Looking at this, it really does resemble so of the more powerful rift monsters."
"If it's a rift creature, then as long as we don't provoke it, there shouldn't be any problem. But this one... it's just too powerful, don't you think?"
"The world is vast, Rein."
"Alright, anyway, I propose that no one should approach Abyssal Prison."
"Indeed..."
After so of the commanders used various detection thods and confird that the eerie Flesh Mycelium Carpet's aura had disappeared, the discussion was sowhat abruptly concluded.
However, at this mont, Wood was deep in thought.
Walker's words continued to echo in his mind, and that faint aura gradually beca clearer.
Suddenly, his eyes widened in shock, and he seed to realize... where he had encountered that aura before.
...
At the bottom of Abyssal Prison, a massive flesh egg, ten ters in diater, lood on the ground. At this mont, large amounts of Flesh Mycelium Carpet were rapidly retracting toward the egg, seemingly transmitting materials and energy.
As more and more of the Mycelium Carpet fused into the forbidden area, the egg began to pulse like a heart, emitting a faint red glow.
Ti slowly passed, and the beating of the flesh egg grew faster. The intense fluctuations caused cracks to appear on its surface.
The next mont, a powerful suction force erupted from the flesh egg. In an instant, the Mycelium Carpet that covered the entire Abyssal Prison began to rapidly retract and rge. Within just ten minutes, the last strand of Mycelium Carpet rged into the flesh egg and disappeared without a trace.
After consuming a massive amount of Mycelium Carpet, the fluctuations from the flesh egg beca even more terrifying. It alternated between contracting and collapsing, then rapidly expanding, as if it were about to explode and shatter at any mont.
Fortunately, an invisible force was continually stabilizing the flesh egg, keeping it on the edge of collapse and stability, constantly oscillating.
After a while, the flesh egg gradually settled down. Then, the ten-ter-diater egg began to shrink, quickly contracting to a size of three ters in diater.
At this point, the flesh egg was pitch black, its surface covered in a dense network of tendrils that were wriggling slightly, giving it a disturbing and eerie appearance.
Suddenly, with a crack,
A fissure split open at the top of the flesh egg. The egg quickly shriveled, and a humanoid figure began to take shape as the egg collapsed.
Sterl slowly opened his eyes.
He took in his surroundings, then slowly rose to his feet.
"It seems just as I saw in the vision... it held together after all."
As he spoke, he suddenly felt sothing was wrong. His expression changed drastically, and he quickly sat down cross-legged on the ground. His hands beca a blur of motion, carving intricate symbols onto his body.
The symbols appeared like shackles, and as soon as one was carved, it quickly crumbled and vanished.
Seeing this, a serious expression crossed Sterl's face. He hastened the engraving process, just managing to prevent the symbols from falling apart completely.
This process continued for nearly half an hour before Sterl finally stopped.
At that mont, his entire body was covered in countless engravings. These symbols were interconnected, and many of them, upon closer inspection, seed identical to the sealing formations found in the Land of Eternal Sealing.
The engravings on Sterl's body, when layered together, ford a large, intricate sealing formation.
"I've barely stabilized it."
He exhaled deeply, feeling a bit helpless inside.
Indeed, what he had just done was to seal himself.
The reason for this was simple: the mont he regained consciousness, he sensed an unbelievably terrifying force lurking within his body.
This was his own power, but its terrifying magnitude had already exceeded the limit his body could bear. If he didn't stabilize it quickly, his physical form would gradually be torn apart by this power and eventually collapse in a violent explosion!
"The increase was too great. My body had already lost its balance due to the power gained from the Sublimation of Power, and the enhancent from the high-level soul power was based on fundantal potential increases, which amplified the imbalance several tis over."
Sterl quickly analyzed his body's condition, carefully feeling the vast power within him.
Compared to before, when he had used high-level soul power to enhance himself, just the raw power alone was likely several tis greater—perhaps even close to ten tis stronger!
He couldn't accurately assess it yet, as the imbalance was so severe that he couldn't make a precise evaluation.
It's important to note that this boost was based on the Sublimation of Power; without it, he wouldn't have sealed himself.
"This can be considered a side effect of using the Soul Devourer Sphere. The Soul Devourer Sphere is an external item, unlike the cheat. The cheat's enhancents, no matter what, always reach a basic balance, but the power from using high-level soul energy completely shatters the limits. If you can't handle it… there's no way but to et a dead end."
Sterl's expression was complicated. Everything had happened so suddenly. One mont, he was engulfed in darkness, and the next, he woke up with control over such terrifying power. If he hadn't been sufficiently cautious, even a slight movent could have caused significant damage.
"Moreover, this enhancent must have been an incredibly terrifying drain on my life source."
He clutched his chest as he spoke.
The nearly suffocating pain in his chest made it clear just how horrific the drain had been.
Even though he had glimpsed the future with Dinsion Perception, he couldn't help but feel a sense of lingering fear.
At that mont, his expression changed slightly. The seals on his body were starting to crack.
He imdiately focused his mind and cald his breath, not daring to exhale too forcefully. Once the seals stabilized again, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
"This won't do. I need to find a way to adapt to this state, or I won't be able to do anything."
Just a slight shift in emotion or movent had already shown signs of the power slipping out of control. If he were to enter combat directly, it was likely he would explode in a violent rampage.
At that point, his body would shatter, leaving the enemy completely stunned and clueless.
