In the sky above.

The enormous void, tens of thousands of ters wide, now resembled a delicate, fragile vagina, brutally torn open by a dark force.

With a violent rupture, Desolate slowly erged from the void, tearing apart the rift that had desperately tried to close.

At this mont, Desolate was covered in horrific, jagged scars, with his left arm having been obliterated by so unknown attack, completely missing. One of his eyes had turned into a hollow, bloodied pit, a sight too dreadful to behold.

However, the overwhelming, invincible aura emanating from him, infused with the dominance and terror of an ancient age, surged unabashedly around him, spreading far and wide.

His remaining eye showed no emotion at all, as though these terrifying injuries did nothing to affect his will.

Standing before the void, Desolate looked up at the sky, took a deep breath of the cool air, then lowered his head. His massive single eye fixed directly on Sterl.

After a mont, the duration of the Ancient Behemoth's summoning ended. Desolate's imnse form began to fade at a visible rate.

"After all... is it just an illusion?"

He raised his lone arm and looked at his gradually fading form. A flicker of complex emotion appeared in his once calm eye. Then... Boom...

Like a bubble, this colossal beast, which should not have existed in this ti and space, returned to its quiet resting place in history. Desolate had likely died long ago, or perhaps he had long been in eternal silence within the river of ti. Yet in the future, this beast might once again break free from its prison, reborn anew...

Sterl silently observed this scene, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

Even an existence like Desolate couldn't remain forever. Even though his lifespan had long since beco infinite, the Endless Void and the Myriad Worlds still held powerful beings capable of killing him.

He had once thought that by mastering Sublimation of Power, he was now worthy of challenging the powerful beings across the multiverse. But now, it seed that his path was still long.

Sterl let out a long sigh. While reflecting on the situation, a chill of unease and fear crept into his heart.

He hadn't expected that, with Desolate's strength, entering the other side of the void would result in such grievous injuries!

After all, the Desolate summoned through War Soul Resonance was the true, formidable being from an ancient era, possessing Desolate's genuine, full power, not so re projection or incarnation of his strength.

"It seems... this catastrophe is far more terrifying than I imagined."

"But Desolate's ability to retreat from it ans that the mysterious force behind it is not invincible. Perhaps when I reach the level of Desolate, I will be able to uncover the true hidden secrets behind this calamity..."

He watched as the enormous void above him began to shrink rapidly after Desolate's disappearance. The once massive rift, tens of thousands of ters in diater, contracted to around one hundred ters in just a mont, as if it were afraid another monster might leap out.

At that mont, a roar, akin to the combined growls of countless monsters, ca from the vanishing void. The sound carried endless fury and murderous intent, along with the resolve to destroy everything.

All the sounds rged and rushed into Sterl's ears, imdiately transforming into words he could understand: "I will return!"

Then, the void disappeared, and the vast Silver-white Calamity was temporarily brought to an end.

Sterl stood still, watching the spot where the void had vanished, murmuring to himself.

"Perhaps, I won't need you to descend. I will co find you myself."

Waiting to die was not in his nature. As long as his strength was enough, he would imdiately dive in, forcing his way through, and annihilate everything in his path!

However, it was clear that although Desolate had been gravely injured, the five minutes had inflicted unimaginable damage on the mysterious force behind it. Otherwise, the entity wouldn't have withdrawn in such a defeated manner.

Of course, this didn't an the entity had given up. At the spot where the void had vanished, a tiny, black hole the size of a soybean was floating in its previous location.

Sterl understood: this was a mark left by the mysterious force. Once it had accumulated enough power, the void would open again, and the entity would descend once more, to invade and devour!

"In the short term, the invasion won't occur again, but it's better not to let my guard down."

With that, Sterl leaped into the air and soon arrived at the tiny void.

Then, an imnse amount of Divine Power and Law gathered in his hands, transforming into a dazzling Law Sword. He struck out with all his might!

Whoosh!

This strike, powerful enough to make even the strongest gods wary, vanished directly into the void as if it had been swallowed, without leaving any impact.

"Can't destroy it?"

Sterl was unconcerned. With a wave of his hand, countless materials began to appear around him. Under his control, they were refined into their purest form and began to etch formation runes across the area.

In no ti, a vast area of ten thousand ters was filled with intricate, divine patterns. These patterns concealed themselves within the space, intertwining and connecting, forming a massive sealing formation.

Among these sealing runes were many that Sterl had learned from the Land of Eternal Sealing, specifically from the Elven Ancient Tree there.

I have to admit, when it cos to sealing, the Dream Spirit Empire is the most powerful I've ever seen.

"Let's hope this does sothing."

Sterl muttered to himself.

He knew full well that this was rely a temporary asure. A small sealing formation like this wouldn't stop the invasion and descent of the mysterious force behind it.

To truly resolve this calamity, there was only one solution: to grow stronger—continuously grow stronger—until he could reverse everything and suppress it all!

It's almost ti...

Sterl looked down. The millions of royal city soldiers, aside from the million who had been instantly annihilated by the dark hand, had not suffered much damage.

He subtly moved his thoughts, and under the effect of War Rhythm, his commands were imdiately transmitted across the entire army.

Soon, the high-ranking officers of the legion began to act, halting the army's efforts to clean the battlefield. Then, in a mighty procession, they returned to the royal city to set up nurous watchtowers and defenses.

An hour later, Sterl's thoughts shifted, and he instantly deactivated the War Soul Resonance arcane skill.

Imdiately, the power granted by War Soul Resonance rapidly dissipated from the soldiers. A wave of extre discomfort and weakness swept over them, and the potential limits they had previously been unaware of suddenly felt like an insurmountable mountain, crashing down on them.

Of course, this weakness wasn't genuine weakness, but rather the subjective illusion created after the power had faded.

In just a few minutes, all the soldiers adapted to the change in their strength. At the sa ti, their respect and fervor for Sterl only grew.

Many soldiers felt a sense of disappointnt, unwilling to see the war co to an end.

After all, their current strength had already surpassed their previous limits. With the restraints on their potential, they could no longer make progress through conventional cultivation. Only in battle, when Sterl activated War Soul Resonance to release their potential, could they continue to grow stronger.

This was also why the soldiers under War Demon had always been such fearless, battle-thirsty demons.

Because only war could allow them to continuously break through their limits and grow stronger with each battle.

No one did not desire power. The soldiers' hunger for power was naturally imnse.

After deactivating War Soul Resonance, Sterl did not leave imdiately. Instead, he carefully observed the soldiers' conditions, analyzing the potential hidden dangers that were not described in the records of [Tanscendence].

After a period of observation and analysis, he had co to several conclusions.

"War Soul Resonance cannot be activated multiple tis within a single day, as doing so would greatly deplete the soldiers' life force and soul power.

Furthermore, activating War Soul Resonance repeatedly can refresh the shield ford by War Protection, but the effectiveness of the shield weakens each ti and cannot reach the initial level."

Finally, there was one more issue… Ancient Behemoth cannot be continuously activated. After each activation, there must be a seven-day waiting period. If this period is not respected, it will cause all soldiers to fall into a state of depleted life force and soul power, and in severe cases, they may even die on the spot.

Unless a new batch of soldiers is used, only then can Ancient Behemoth be activated without harm."

Sterl carefully analyzed these problems, or rather, the prerequisites. No ability could be truly perfect, after all. The sources of these abilities were not born out of thin air.

The powerful effects of War Soul Resonance, aside from being triggered by Sterl himself, largely stemd from the soldiers' life force and souls, as well as the various free-floating energies in the Void.

Especially Ancient Behemoth, this ultimate ability, which had an extrely terrifying cost.

It was important to note that the conditions for activating this ability required War Soul Resonance to be pushed to its limit, aning that at least ten million soldiers were needed to trigger it.

Even so, it couldn't be activated twice within seven days, highlighting the imnse cost.

Of course, the power of Ancient Behemoth justified this enormous cost, as it was truly the strongest ultimate ability capable of reversing the tide of battle!

After recording these analyses, Sterl no longer interfered with matters concerning the royal city.

With Kun and the high-ranking divine authorities overseeing things, their ability to handle various tasks would not be inferior to his own. As long as they didn't face an absolutely unstoppable invasion, there shouldn't be any significant problems.

Moreover, with the Battle Soul Formation enhancing the royal city's formation core, even invasions like the one before would not result in the city's collapse in the short term.

If, during this period, a powerful god from the Orichalcum Kingdom were to arrive, they would certainly face a huge surprise.

Millions of battle-hardened legendary soldiers, combined with the power boost from the Battle Soul Formation, would be more than enough to bring even the highest-ranking gods down from their pedestals! They would be completely obliterated!

Thus, the current defenses of the royal city had reached their peak. There was no need to worry about it any further.
