Alex focused entirely on Morgathis.
The massive primordial dragon dashed toward him at lightning speed, closing the distance in a fraction of a second.
Ti seed to slow as Alex watched the golden outline of Morgathis' body move.
The abyss was pitch black.
Alex couldn't see anything except for those golden outlines, which were the only thing keeping him from being completely blind.
Morgathis, the God of the Abyss, and his Chosen One all assud he was completely in the dark.
And normally, they would be right.
The [Veil of Light] that surrounded the abyss prevented any light from passing through, but that didn't an Alex was helpless.
[Kill him.]
'On it.'
Alex knew what he had to do.
Morgathis had to die instantly.
If he only injured him, the God of the Abyss and his Chosen One would have ti to react.
They wouldn't let him land another hit if they saw it coming.
But Alex had the perfect combination of skills to make sure that wouldn't happen.
His [Staff of Pure Hatred] still in hand, he pointed it straight at Morgathis.
Heaven's Chains!
Golden chains erupted from the staff, racing toward Morgathis like lightning.

Alex knew the chains wouldn't hold a primordial dragon for long.
That much was obvious.
But if they could stop Morgathis for even a fraction of a second…
That was all Alex needed.
The chains wrapped around Morgathis, catching him off guard.
"Huh?"
That mont of distraction sealed his fate.
Threads of Fate!
Alex activated the skill.
Golden threads suddenly wrapped around Morgathis, connecting him to the fabric of destiny itself.
'Oh?'
Alex was surprised.
Even in this total darkness, he could see the golden threads wrapping around Morgathis' body.
It was sothing he hadn't expected, but it worked in his favor.
Morgathis barely flinched as he tore through the chains, unfazed.
"You cannot see , fool, stop trying with your useless magic!" the dragon roared.
His massive claws swiped at Alex, closing in at impossible speed.
Less than a split second had passed that Morgathis had already broken free.
But...
'I win.' Alex smiled.
He took his stance, adjusting his position with precise movents.
And then, he swung.
Bleeding Dragon Claws!
His claws slashed at Morgathis' neck just as the dragon lunged at him, avoiding the attack.
"How did you avoid—?!"
Morgathis didn't get to finish his sentence.
A sharp pain tore through his throat.
"ARGH—!"
[Weakness hit, dealing 1000% damage.]
Alex didn't even need to check Morgathis' HP to know the attack was devastating.
Just think about it.
250 million base damage.
Add to that 10,000% of Alex's strength.
His strength was currently at 2,170,548 points, plus an additional 1 million from the [Armor of Pure Hatred].
Altogether, that amounted to 567,054,800 damage, over half a billion in a single strike.
And that was before the weakness multiplier.
With 1000% extra damage…
That beca 5,670,548,000 damage.
"HELP—!"
Morgathis tried to call out to his god, but no sound ca.
His throat was already too torn apart.
And Alex didn't stop there.
"Goodbye," he whispered.
He pulled his claws back, then swung again.
Again.

Each slash tore through Morgathis' flesh, leaving deep, gaping wounds.

Morgathis had 20 billion HP.
After only four strikes, and within a fraction of a second, he was already dead.

Varyn and his Chosen One watched in silence.
They could see through the abyss.
Unlike Alex, they had perfect vision in the darkness.
And yet, even seeing everything, they still didn't react.
If Morgathis was so weak that he lost to a blind human, then they had no reason to save him.
Eventually, the primordial dragon collapsed.
Ding!

Alex's eyes flickered.
That was almost as much experience as he gained from killing the entire hallway of participants in the Dragon Trial Temple.
That was the power of a primordial dragon.
Unfortunately for Morgathis, his overconfidence had cost him everything.

Alex's panel appeared before him, glowing in the abyss.
He glanced at Varyn and his Chosen One.
They weren't moving.
They were simply watching.
'Varyn, you called here to get rid of another Chosen One… but aren't the [Chosen Gas] happening later?'
'Yes,' Varyn grinned. 'But this one intruded into my domain. That ans I can kill him outside of the gas. Makes things easier. And while we're at it, we'll get rid of Kaelios too.'
'Perfect.'
In the Abyss, they could communicate through thoughts, allowing for silent conversation.
'I will assist you,' Varyn added. 'It would be stupid to attack alone and lose the advantage.'
'Yes, that's true,' the Chosen One of the Abyss nodded, 'Let's get rid of him while he's focused on that fool.'
'Well said, Lorien,' Varyn smirked, raising his hand, darkness rippling around his fingers, 'Our rise is coming soon. And when the Chosen Gas begin, we'll be so powerful that we can kill the rest of them as well.'
'True,' Lorien nodded.
All they had to do was eliminate Alex.

Alex's eyes widened slightly at the second option.
'…I could just leave.'
But he shook his head.
'No.'
He wasn't leaving.
He wasn't running away.
He was going to kill them.

Alex didn't hesitate.
He selected it imdiately.

He didn't know how to use it, and it was only at [Basic]-rank, so he would have to test it out, but at this very mont, he knew he couldn't afford to.
It was a Primordial Dragon's skill.
It must be powerful.
'I'll rge it with the others later,' he thought as well.
He wanted to reduce his amount of skills, instead opting for having a small amount of them, but extrely powerful ones.
Most of his old spells were starting to fall short. His raw strength had outpaced them.
Spells like [Demonic Spear], [Heaven's Chains], and [Arc of Divinity] were still useful, but even they were starting to feel weaker.
His mana regeneration was slow, only 10,000 mana per second.
He needed more spells.
He needed more power.
And he already had an idea of how to get them.
But first, his gaze locked onto the God of the Abyss and his Chosen One.
Their small, white pupils glead in the darkness.
Then, Lorien, Varyn's Chosen One, took a step forward.
They were getting ready to attack.
The final battle in the Abyss was about to begin.
