Stuck in this abyss, he had no choice but to explore every option he had.
If there was even the smallest chance these new dragon abilities could help him escape, he wasn't going to ignore it.
As soon as he confird, panels materialized all around him.

Lines of text glowed faintly in the suffocating darkness.
These were his new abilities.
Normally, when soone from another race unlocked the dragon bloodline, they received a unique title along with it.
A title that symbolized their connection to a specific primordial power.
Most of the ti, these titles were exclusive to [Primordial Dragons].
Titles like Primordial Dragon of the Abyss, Primordial Dragon of Space and Ti, and others.
And every ti a new person awakened a dragon bloodline, they'd get their own title.
But it wasn't common.
Only one or two individuals each year were ever accepted into the dragon bloodline.

So why didn't dragons just hand out their bloodline to the strongest mbers of every race?
Wouldn't that strengthen their influence and dominance?
Well…
First, dragons were already the strongest race, right alongside the fallen angels.
They didn't need to strengthen other races or their own.
But more importantly, the Primordial Dragons feared sothing.
They feared that soone might unlock the full potential of the dragon bloodline and grow powerful enough to challenge, or even kill, one of them.
That person could then ascend to join the ranks of the Primordial Dragons themselves.
They couldn't risk that.
So, they made sure to only grant their bloodline to the most loyal candidates, individuals they trusted wouldn't betray them, by making them go through a harsh trial.
That was to make sure whoever participated knew their places.
But even then, it was a gamble.
They didn't hesitate with Astariel, for example.
Despite his overwhelming strength, he was already a Fallen Angel.
He had no interest in becoming a Primordial Dragon, so they knew he wouldn't pose a threat in that regard.
For others, they simply assud they weren't strong enough to be a real problem.
But Alex…
Alex was different.
Not only was he from two "weak" races, human and fox, but he was imnsely powerful.
They saw him as a threat.
That's why they had sent him to the abyss.
To get rid of him before he could do anything that might upset the balance of their power.
So, when Alex looked at the panels, he saw sothing unexpected.

His eyes narrowed.
If he ever beca a Primordial Dragon, which he wouldn't, because he despised them, his title would be Primordial Destiny Slayer Dragon.
That's how the system worked.
But titles weren't just for show.
With this new title ca new abilities.

Another panel appeared.

Alex let out a soft chuckle.
"Heh," he muttered.
Another massive boost.
And of course, he welcod it with open arms. Every bit of power mattered, especially here.
But that wasn't all.

His smile faded.
"..."
Another line followed imdiately after.
[Your Destiny Points limit has been raised to 150.]
His eyes widened.
"DAMN!"
Now that was a surprise.
Destiny Points were critical for his Chosen One skills.
Raising the limit ant he could stockpile more points without constantly worrying about running out in the middle of a fight.
But it also ant sothing else.
If this was possible… could he go even higher?
Could he reach the heights that Kaelios, the God of Destiny himself, reached?
Kaelios had a limit of 300 Destiny Points.
'Is it possible, Kaelios?' Alex asked in his mind.
If Kaelios had been watching over him all this ti, guiding him and talking to him, then surely he was still there, right?
But…
No answer.
Nothing.
A suffocating silence pressed in on Alex.
And then a chilling realization hit him.
[You are in the God of the Abyss' domain, aning that not even another God can interfere.]
His heart skipped a beat.
This was just like Kaelios' [Garden of Destiny].
When he was there, no other god could enter unless Kaelios allowed it.
Now, Alex was in the abyss, the God of the Abyss' territory.
No one, not even Kaelios, could reach him here.
He was completely alone.
Well, except for Alphox, the Undead King, and the Heart of Calamity.
They were still linked to his soul, so they were with him in so way.
But the weight of isolation was heavy.
Alex clenched his fists, shaking off the fear creeping into his mind.
He couldn't afford to dwell on it.
[The air of the abyss is pressuring you.]
[The darkness will take over your mind if you do not advance.]
A warning flashed across his vision.
'Damn it,' Alex cursed under his breath.
He was forced to keep moving.
That was another cruel feature of the abyss.
You couldn't stay still.
If you did, the darkness would consu your mind, turning you into just another mindless puppet.
That's what happened to countless angels and exiles who were cast down here.
They wandered until they t their end, either at the hands of the abyssal monsters or the God of the Abyss himself.
But Alex wasn't planning to be one of them.
There was just one problem.
He still couldn't see.
Like, literally.
He activated [Cursed Eyes of Truth], but saw nothing. Just an endless void.
He tried summoning a small fla at the tip of his staff, but the light barely pierced the darkness.
He needed more.
He needed to figure out his new abilities quickly, but sothing else crossed his mind.
His staff.
It was ti to evolve it.
He'd delayed using [Potential Extraction] on it for too long.
In this place, he needed every advantage he could get.
Grabbing his [Demonized Staff of Hatred], he poured his power into it and activated [Potential Extraction].
Just like with his armor, it worked.

The staff trembled in his hands.
Dark energy pulsed through it, causing cracks to spread along its surface.
But instead of breaking, the staff reshaped itself, the jagged edges smoothing out into sothing sleeker and more dangerous-looking.
The wood turned a deep, almost black crimson, while the runes etched along its surface glowed brighter.
A faint aura of malevolence radiated from it, making the air around Alex feel heavier.
The transformation was complete.

"Nice," Alex whispered, admiring his upgraded weapon.
This was infinitely better than the previous version.
With these stats, even the strongest beings in the ga would think twice before challenging him.
Very few individuals could match him in raw attributes now.
But there was no ti to bask in his power.
The darkness was creeping closer, threatening to swallow his mind whole.
He had to keep reading through the panels, to understand every new ability he had.
But just as he was about to continue…
Sothing unexpected happened.
A crimson panel appeared.
