The walk to school was supposed to be a chance for Haruto to clear his head and get back to normal. The morning air was crisp and cool, and he took deep breaths, trying to wash away the lingering scent of Akiko’s shampoo and the mory of her soft skin.

But about halfway there, he started getting the distinct feeling that soone was watching him. It was that prickly sensation between his shoulder blades, the kind of awareness that made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He tried to ignore it at first, telling himself he was just paranoid after his sleepless night, but the feeling persisted.

Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore and spun around quickly, scanning the street behind him. For just a split second, he thought he saw a flash of white fabric ducking behind a corner, but when he looked more carefully, there was nothing there. Just empty sidewalk and the usual morning rush of people heading to work and school.

"Weird," he muttered, shaking his head. Maybe he really was more tired than he thought.

When they finally reached the school gates, Haruto felt like he was stepping back into the real world. The familiar sight of students in their uniforms, the sound of chatter and laughter, the sll of the cafeteria already preparing lunch—it all helped ground him and push away the surreal mories of the night before.

The morning classes passed in their usual blur of lectures and note-taking. Haruto found himself struggling to concentrate, his mind kept drifting back to the feeling of Akiko’s body against his, the sound of her breathing in his ear. More than once, his teacher had to call his na twice to get his attention.

"Late night?" his friend whispered during math class, noticing Haruto’s glazed expression.

"Sothing like that," Haruto muttered back, trying to focus on the equations on the board.

But it was during lunch break that things got really interesting.

Haruto was sitting with his usual group of friends in their regular spot in the classroom, picking at his homade bento and trying to wake up properly. The familiar routine of unwrapping his lunch and chatting with his buddies was helping him feel more like himself again.

That’s when the entire classroom suddenly went quiet.

It was one of those monts when you know sothing big is happening even before you turn around to look. The kind of silence that falls when everyone’s attention gets captured by the sa thing at the sa ti. Haruto looked up from his lunch, confused by the sudden hush, and followed everyone’s gaze toward the classroom door.

And there she was.

Akiko stood in the doorway like so kind of vision, looking absolutely radiant in her school uniform. Her long black hair was perfectly styled, falling in soft waves over her shoulders. Her skin seed to glow in the afternoon light streaming through the windows, and her eyes were bright and alert, completely different from the sleepy girl he’d left in his bed that morning.

But what really caught everyone’s attention was the elaborate bento box she was carrying. It wasn’t just any lunch—this was clearly a labor of love, the kind of al that takes hours to prepare. Even from across the room, Haruto could see the careful arrangent of different foods, each item perfectly placed and beautifully presented.

Akiko’s eyes scanned the room until they found Haruto, and when they did, her entire face lit up with a smile so brilliant it could have powered the whole school. She started walking toward him, and the crowd of students parted like the Red Sea, everyone watching with fascination and envy.

"Oh man," Jun whispered. "You are so dead."

The whispers started imdiately. Haruto could hear fragnts of conversation floating around him:

"Is that really for Haruto?"

"Did she really make that whole thing just for him?"

"How did he get so lucky?"

Akiko seed completely oblivious to the attention she was attracting. Her focus was entirely on Haruto, and as she got closer, he could see the soft, affectionate look in her eyes. It was the sa expression she’d had when she was sleeping against him, but now it was directed at him with full consciousness, and it was sohow even more overwhelming.

She stopped right in front of his desk, setting the beautiful bento box down with careful precision. The delicious sll of ho-cooked food imdiately filled the air around them, making several nearby students’ stomachs growl audibly.

"I made this for you," she said simply, her voice soft but clear enough for half the classroom to hear. "I thought you might be hungry after... last night."

"They spent the night together?!"

"No way, really?"

The way she said "last night" made it sound incredibly intimate, and Haruto felt his face turn about seventeen different shades of red. The whispers around them got more excited, and he was pretty sure he heard soone’s phone cara click.

"Akiko," he started, but she was already opening the bento box, revealing an absolutely stunning array of food. There were perfectly shaped rice balls, beautifully arranged vegetables, so kind of grilled fish that looked like it belonged in a restaurant, and about a dozen other items that must have taken her hours to prepare.

"You didn’t eat much yesterday," she continued, picking up a pair of chopsticks and carefully selecting a piece of the grilled fish. "And you looked so tired this morning. I was worried about you."

Before Haruto could protest or explain that he couldn’t possibly eat all of this in front of the entire class, Akiko had moved even closer to him. She was standing right beside his desk now, close enough that he could sll her shampoo and see the soft curve of her lips as she held out the chopsticks with the piece of fish.

"Here," she said, her voice gentle and caring. "Let feed you."

The entire classroom held its breath. This was like sothing out of a romantic drama, the kind of scene that teenage girls dream about and teenage boys pretend they don’t want but secretly crave. Akiko was looking at Haruto with such tender affection, completely focused on taking care of him, oblivious to the dozens of eyes watching their every move.

Haruto felt like he was trapped in so kind of spotlight. Every person in the room was staring at them, waiting to see what he would do. He could feel the envy radiating from the other guys, the romantic sighs from so of the girls, and the general fascination of everyone witnessing what was clearly a very public declaration of... sothing.

"I... Akiko, everyone’s watching," he whispered, but she just smiled at him, that sa brilliant, affectionate smile.

"So?" she said, still holding out the chopsticks. "I want everyone to know that I care about you."

From sowhere behind him, Haruto heard one of his classmates mutter, "Man, I am so jealous I could die."

Another voice chid in, "How does he get a girl like that to make him lunch and feed him by hand? It’s not fair."

"I bet she wakes up looking that perfect too," soone else added with a sigh.

Haruto realized he was at a crossroads. He could either try to deflect this sohow, maybe make a joke or change the subject, or he could just accept what was happening and deal with the consequences later. But looking at Akiko’s expectant face, at the genuine care and affection in her eyes, he found he didn’t really have a choice.

With the entire classroom watching, he leaned forward slightly and let her feed him the piece of fish.

It was delicious, of course. Everything Akiko made was incredible, and this was no exception. But more than that, there was sothing incredibly intimate about the gesture, sothing that made his heart race even faster than it had the night before. The way she watched his face as he chewed, the little smile of satisfaction when she saw that he liked it, the gentle way she reached out to brush a crumb from the corner of his mouth—it was all almost too much to handle.

The classroom erupted in a mixture of sighs, groans, and muttered comnts of amazent and envy. But Haruto barely heard any of it. All he could focus on was Akiko, standing there beside him with that radiant smile, already preparing the next bite for him to try.
