Raccoon City was a city built up by the Umbrella Corporation.

Once just a small Midwestern town, everything changed when Umbrella moved in. Hospitals, subways, universities—modern infrastructure rose rapidly, all stamped with Umbrella's influence.

Every wall and building had ties to them. Walk down any street and the person you pass might just be an Umbrella employee.

When Malrick arrived at Raccoon City Hospital, he caught part of a disturbing video transmission—an Umbrella researcher's confession.

"My na is Nathaniel Bard. The current ti is 9:35 PM, September 28.

I'm the director of the Virus Research Center.

I hope soone finds this and rescues …

But honestly, I doubt anyone will.

They don't want alive. Umbrella—they'll definitely kill .

This outbreak in Raccoon City? It's their doing.

I just hope this ssage gets out, so the truth spreads. Maybe then, my na won't go down in infamy.

Umbrella—my employer—through their front, Leyla Corporation, ordered us to develop a bioweapon called the T-virus."

BANG

"What was that sound just now?!

I—I'll record the rest later. I need to check it out!"

Turns out, Bard had been recording a final ssage—his suicide note.

Malrick floated outside the hospital, listening carefully to the sounds echoing around him. With his enhanced vision, he scanned the entire facility.

Infected creatures had overrun the building. The only living human left was Director Nathaniel Bard—and he didn't have long.

Malrick rembered: within hours, Umbrella agents would kill Bard and take the T-virus prototype.

But not this ti. Today, Bard got lucky.

Malrick descended, landing silently as his Super Mark 1 suit—remotely piloted by J.A.R.V.I.S.—touched down behind him.

He pushed open the hospital doors.

Zombies—grotesque and bloodied—turned toward him. Nurses, doctors, even security guards. All infected. All hostile.

"Handle them, J.A.R.V.I.S.," Malrick said calmly, heading deeper into the building.

Director Bard was in his lab, sealed off by a reinforced iron door. Outside, a monstrous, lizard-like creature slamd against the barrier, snarling with a gaping, blood-soaked maw.

It had clearly been drawn by Bard's earlier recording.

Inside, Bard was trembling, covering his mouth and praying the thing would lose interest.

Malrick recognized the beast—Hunter β. Umbrella's bioweapon, air-dropped into the city for testing. It was like a mini-boss straight out of a horror ga.

He decided not to waste ti.

Malrick stepped up behind it and threw a single, devastating punch.

A shockwave erupted. The creature and the iron door both flew backward, smashing into the far wall like they'd been pancaked.

"AAAHH!!" Director Bard yelped, collapsing as debris rained around him.

He stared, wide-eyed at the crushed remains of the reinforced door, and rembered the rumors of another Umbrella weapon—the Tyrant.

Was this how it ended? Did Umbrella finally send Tyrant to finish the job?

Panicking, Bard stumbled into his chair. His hands trembled as he reached for his computer mouse, trying to resu his last recording.

Before he could utter a single word, Malrick stepped inside.

"Director Bard?" Malrick asked.

"Who… who are you?" Bard stamred. He wasn't facing a Tyrant?

"I'm here for the T-virus prototype and the vaccine samples. If you have any research data to share, even better," Malrick replied, scanning the room.

Bard's expression hardened. "You're not with Umbrella?"

"No," Malrick said. "I want to stop this outbreak and save the city."

"Save the city?" Bard seed more relaxed now. Dying at the hands of another human was preferable to a bioweapon.

He narrowed his eyes. "How do you even know about the T-virus and the vaccine? That knowledge is restricted to Umbrella personnel."

Malrick paused for a mont, then chose honesty.

"I'm not from this world. Your world's consciousness asked to intervene. Everything I know ca from it."

Bard blinked. Malrick could see the disbelief behind his eyes.

But there was no ti to play gas.

Malrick exhaled—just once. A sharp breath, condensed and precise.

A shockwave burst from his mouth, blasting a perfectly round hole through the far wall.

Bard's jaw dropped. He stared in stunned silence as dust and debris settled.

His scientific mind tried to keep up.

"Unbelievable…" he murmured. "You destroyed a concrete wall—with your breath? That… that's beyond anything the human body should be capable of…"

"You really are from another world?"

Bard's questions ca fast now, almost frantically.

"What's your world like? You ntioned world consciousness—does ours have one too?"

He laughed—suddenly and uncontrollably.

At first, it was quiet. Then it grew louder, manic.

Malrick blinked, unsure how to react.

He'd expected questions. Maybe so doubt. But not laughter.

Then again, he'd t enough researchers to know—so of them were eccentric. Others? Genius teetering on madness.

And right now, Bard had stumbled onto the kind of cosmic truth no normal scientist could handle calmly.

BANG!

Malrick clapped a hand on Bard's shoulder to snap him out of it.

"We'll talk about all that later. Can you show the research materials?"

Bard snapped back to reality, rubbing his balding forehead. "Yes, yes, of course. Right this way. I printed hard copies of everything. The electronic data's been wiped."

"I was planning to destroy it all before I died. Lucky for us—you showed up just in ti."
