He hurried towards the source of the sounds and saw a group of four humans fighting five wolves.
The group consisted of low-level cultivators.
The strongest among them was level 6, and he was wearing heavy armor and acting as the shield of the group. The two girls behind him looked a bit alike, and one of them was using offensive spiritual technique and the other defensive.
The last one was a level 4 cultivator, and he was throwing spiritual energy daggers at the wolves that pounced towards them.
The wolves had to change their trajectory to dodge his daggers.
The knife thrower didn't have endless spiritual energy as he was only level 3. He was bound to run of spiritual energy soon.
One could say that they were having an extrely difficult ti against the wolves.
They were in desperate need of help.

It beca worse when the alpha among the wolves appeared from behind the woods and directly pounced at the black-haired girl with a cute face.
The Alpha wood wolf had its mouth opened wide. Its spiky wooden teeth were extrely sharp and threatening to tear apart her neck in a single snap.

"Mo Mingzhu, look out!" Mao Yue shouted as she fended off the wolf that attacked her by brandishing her sword.
When she saw the alpha wolf lunging towards her, Mo Mingzhu felt such imnse fear that she failed to budge her tiny finger. She stood rooted on her spot as if immobilized by a magical force. She closed shut her eyes as if she thought that if it were out of her sight, it would really disappear.
However, the reality was much crueler than her simple thinking, and no one could deny that it would have her head in the next second!
Warm tears fell out of her eyes.
When she felt the alpha wood wolf presence coming closer to her, Mo Mingzhu, who didn't want to die at such a young age, wished with all her heart that soone would save her from this situation.
