To sum it all up, the valors survives, at least the one called Logan valor did. As for the blackberry family, not only did they survive, that obnoxious brat Vincent had sohow grown stronger, and would probably keep growing stronger.
"This is so tiring" Guilliman sighed, he would rather not gather a bunch of enemies in the sanctuaries, there was already and abundance to deal with after he left this dreadful place, making more here was just overkill.
Yet, he was unmoved.
An enemy was just that, an enemy. It was sothing ant to be defeated and his only choice was to do just that.
"Anyway, how you're charting going? Have you found a reasonable path to the keep?" Cyrus asked, receiving a bowl of at soup from his younger brother as he watched the myriad expressions on the faces of the cohort.
"Hmm, charting….well we did, but powerful creatures keep appearing out of nowhere" Hamdel said a slight smile appearing on his face.
The others seed to be in thought so he decided to take the lead on this conversation.
"Ahh, I see we are in the sa predicant" Cyrus smiled, honestly, wherever they looked, there was so mythic beast hanging around with its maw ready to swallow them.
Navigating this place was becoming harder by the day.
"Maybe if we could kill a few mythic beasts…" the old man Hamdel laughed bitterly as he cracked an obvious joke.
With just them, killing a mythic beast was impossible. Even Thane who was by far the strongest person in Yellow had to depend on all their efforts plus the wound already prevailing in the mythic serpent at the gate to win.
There was no way they could kill
mythic beasts at this level.
"Hm?" Cyrus saw the smile on the old man's face and shook his head.
The old man was clearly joking, but just maybe….
"We found sothing that could get us into the shelters " all of a sudden, Quinn, Cyruses little brother spoke causing Victoria and the rest to snap out of their thoughts.
They all looked at him with confused eyes. That included his Cyrus.
This little shit and his loud mouth!!
"What? Barthold is a close friend and what's the use of hiding it? It's not like we'll lose anything from them knowing where it is" Quinn shrugged his shoulders.
"Besides, if we team up with them, we might have a chance of killing that thing" Quinn added.
"What are you guys talking about" Victoria asked clearly interested in this thing Quinn was talking about.
"It's nothing much….we think we found an outpost though " Cyrus explained with a bit of hesitation.
Outposts were common in shelters, they were of the purpose of helping young slayers survive the reaches of their training grounds but it also served as a sort of defensive position against certain monsters.
That wasn't all, outposts more often that not were connected to the main shelters so they could routinely get supplies of water and the sort.
"This far in? Are you sure?" Victoria frowned, they had covered a re 30% of the forest as it stood. Most shelter outposts were situated much closer to the shelter so they hadn't even thought of outposts talkless of getting to one.
"Ehn, well, I'm not sure why it's so far out, but it looks like a human structure and well, I don't know….maybe it's out ticket out of here" Cyrus sighed deeply as if even he didn't believe what he was saying. But Quinn had sent his senses into the outpost so he knew for a fact.
"What's the catch? Why haven't you gone there? Is it infested by beasts?" Guilliman asked in his usual cautious manner. An outpost was gold, even if there wasn't any real supplies there after so many years, it would at least allow for them to rest easy without the fear of being attacked.
Then there were the clues one could find within the place, having the structure of this place would let the navigate it more effectively.
"Hehe, infested? Yes, but infested by what? That's the problem" Cyrus smirked bitterly then sighed.
"We call them posion folk, they are a community of poisonous flora beasts, most beasts stay away from that area even so I'd say it's a no go zone for even us humans….
Even then, we still tried, we watched the place very attentively, we noted the patterns of the posion releases, the way the flora moves along and where to, they had a surprisingly very routine patrol"
"However, all this was by the way….we finally got a way in, the most perfect timing and safest path, cough, cough…..the problem is…..
It's being guarded by a mythic flora"
They could bypass everything else and enter the outposts main doors, however there was soone blocking their way. It was much better than fighting against all of creatures but a mythic beast was overkill.
So they decided to give the place so space.
"Ahh, I see what you an" guilliman nodded, a mythic creature was naturally not sothing they Should be ssing with, retreating was the best course of action.
"You guys are really ballsy, imagine saying the safest path is being blocked by a mythic beast. What is then guarding the other paths then?" Jemie smiled bitterly as his eyes panned to the side with a joking expression.
Safe and mythic beast shouldn't even be in the sa sentence.
As he panned his gaze though, his eyes soon landed on a pair of glowing eyes that causing him to freeze.
"Oh no" Jemie gritted his teeth.
There was that look on Victorias face, the one she would usually get when she was ready to pull them into sothing dangerous.
"It's just a mythic beast guys, don't be like that" Victoria smiled evilly sending a chill down the spine of even Cyrus as he turned to the rest.
