"You overestimate yourself." Zerrick sneered as his purple eyes that held the stars within them brightened in a two-colored light, a mix of purple and black.
What made the carnivorous plant-type monster believe that with its little capabilities, it could kidnap her in front of a subli emperor twice? It wasn't even worth his effort as it was just a piece of garbage in his eyes, a tin can that he could squeeze and crush with a stomp. It, though, didn't realize that. He had no choice but to teach it the hard way.
He activated the third version of his teleportation superpower.
[Position Shift!]
As the monster's vines reached close to Freya, her body disappeared from its spot and appeared right where Zerrick was standing. anwhile, he appeared in the exact sa spot she was an instant ago.
The monster was sowhat shocked to see how he so easily brought its prey to safety, but it didn't let it show through its actions or emotions. Its vines advanced towards him, intending to kidnap him. It didn't know that he was a terrifying existence, far more powerful than itself.
Zerrick, who was in mid-air, saw its vines approaching him, and his lips curled up into a cold, mocking smile.
[Ripples of death!]
The space around him shattered into hundreds of thousands of shards, each piece moving towards the approaching vines as one. As they charged ahead simultaneously, in the eyes of the onlookers, it felt as if small waves were flowing in the air.
Struck by the spatial shards, the thick and solid vines vanished from existence. Elliot realized that the power of this subli emperor's move was to delete anything and anyone from reality itself. Zerrick was too fucking horrifying. Freya gulped, a bit terrified by what she saw and just experienced.
Only a handful of spatial shards disappeared, taking all its vines down with them. It was still alive, and although it had lost its vines, it managed to grow new ones in the ti it takes for a person to blink their eye.
"I must say, you have excellent regeneration. I wonder how long you can survive in the face of my attacks." Zerrick said to the carnivorous plant with a teasing smile on his face.
The latter looked at him and felt that the forr was a cat who was treating it as a mouse and wanted to play it to death. The fact that a being dozens of tis shorter than itself was looking down at it made it so angry that it roared and jumped towards him. Its entire body ca out of the ground. It was around 60ft tall! Undoubtedly, the onlookers found it too big.
"You made a foolish move." Zerrick snapped his fingers, and all the spatial shards in the surrounding ca to a halt, hovering up straight before tilting and pointing their sharp ends towards the monster.
"I expected nothing less than a beast." He added as he raised his hand and stretched his forefinger towards it. As a result, all the shards shot towards the monster, who was still in mid-air. As it was above the ground, everyone thought that it would not be able to dodge them. It couldn't fly upwards as several hundreds of shards were coming down from above. An equal number of them charged towards it from each side. The monster knew that it would not survive if these many spatial shards stabbed it.
Hundreds of Vines extended out of the worm-like lower body and stabbed into the ground. With a backward pull, they yanked it down to the ground at high speed. Most of the spatial shards missed their mark. Only so of them stabbed into various parts of its massive body. Those parts started vanishing at a rate visible to the eye.
It felt that, and without a mont's hesitation, it ruthlessly cut off each part of its body that had spatial shards in them. Its size decreased asurably.
The next mont, Elliot, the subli Emperor, and Freya saw it reentering its burrow, making a run for its life. As they were above ground and it was underground, it was no longer in their sight. The subli emperor found the monster too shaless, so did Elliot. It was the one who attacked first, but the mont it realized that fighting them was like putting its life in danger, it didn't hesitate to run away. It didn't think it was wrong or shaless to run away from its enemies and duty of guarding the shortest route to the spider queen's chamber. It only wanted to survive, and it was willing to throw away its pride and bite the hand that fed it to do so. Thankfully, it had created many tunnels below the ground over the years. It could take them to get out of the forest and also the second area.
Zerrick narrowed his eyes, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face.
'Should I use my full power and overturn the land to get to it, or should I waste my once in a day move to beco a ghost that can move through solid and chase after it? Hmm, what should I do?'
He thought of doing nothing as it saw giant golden hands, thousands of feet tall, manifesting all around the forest. Their fingers were as big as the monster.
"Boys, bring it to even if you've to smash the entire underground tunnel system it had created over the years!" Elliot handed out his order to the hands.
Each of them stabbed their super long and thick fingers into the ground, penetrating it so profoundly that if it were a woman, it would have orgasd a thousand tis. When the fingers reached inside so deep that they touched the tunnels the carnivorous monster had created throughout the years, they curled. One of the many fingers grabbed the carnivorous plant.
It resisted furiously, but only half of its body managed to escape before all the hands pulled out of the ground.
One of the hands brought it out of the ground!
