By the ti Elliot and Lisa returned to the Academy, all of the families, who had lost the bet against him, were waiting in the guesthouses.
They were here to give up the artifacts they had lost to him.
Lisa's mother was also standing among them.
"House of Phillips, here to pay our debt."
With many people acting as witnesses, they handed over three artifacts to Magic Emperor Elliot.
"House of Lewis, here to face up to our loss."
A man clad in armor stepped out of the group of people and placed two artifacts next to Elliot.
"House of Jackson, here to fulfill our promise."
Many people announced the na of their magician families before placing two, if not more, artifacts next to Elliot.
Lisa's eyes widened to the size of cups as she saw three small mountains of artifacts standing before her.
Many treasures twinkled like the stars, and so glead like the coldest frost.
The ones gleaming were all weapons.
The ones twinkling were either armors or artifacts with unique effects.
Elliot didn't spare even a single one of them and took away what they owed him. rcy wasn't a word in his dictionary, especially when he faces scums.
"Now that you've paid your debt, I ask you all to leave, lest you disturb the harmonious environnt of the Academy and beco a hindrance in the life of the studious students," Elliot said politely.
Everyone could understand that he was indirectly telling them to fuck off from the erald mountain and away from him. Out of sight, out of mind. Thinking that he really wouldn't co knocking on their doors, all the magicians said him goodby while internally cursing him and made a run of it. Cowards they were, who liked to bully the weak and respect the strong. And it was shown to many today as they followed a young man's words without hesitation. Thankfully, there was not a single reporter or paparazzi here as the Academy forbade any such activities from being taken in its premise. Otherwise, Elliot's na would've appeared on the front page tomorrow.
Everyone except for one person left.
"Why are you still here? Want to give you a special invitation?" Elliot asked while looking at the mistress of the Charlotte family.
How could she not understand that his special invitation ant that he would personally throw her out of the erald mountains?
She still remained on her spot.
"What's your relationship with my daughter?!"
He knew that such a day would co. He was ready for it. However, did Lisa feel the sa way? She answered his question by intertwining her hand with his. Surprised, he turned to look at Lisa, and he saw her thoughts written in her eyes. She was willing to be with him and ready to make it clear to her controlling parents that she would marry him.
Elliot purposely raised their intertwined hands to show it to the Mistress of the Charlotte family. She was such a nuisance to him that he had even forgotten her na. "This should be enough to tell you what we an to each other. I am going to marry her in a month. Stop us if you can."
Lisa's mother furrowed as she looked at their interlocked fingers. She wished to separate them imdiately.
"You dirty scoundrel, you're trying to grasp sothing beyond your reach. Don't think that no one in the Charlotte family can deal with you. Give up on my daughter and go away. Otherwise–"
"Otherwise, what? Huh? Stop with all that bullshit! If you want to threaten , do so without shaking from your head to your boots! And don't forget, we're standing on the academy's grounds, not the Charlotte Family. If you threaten one more ti, heh, heh." Elliot's eyes turned murderous. He intended to teach her a lesson if she kept on getting on his nerves. He didn't like her as she was always against him. He hadn't ended her as she was, luckily Lisa's mother. Otherwise, she would have been long dead.
"You! You! You!" The cat has gotten her tongue!
", , , what?!" Elliot taunted.
Lady Charlotte didn't bicker with him any longer.
Instead of threatening the scoundrel who didn't fear death, she turned to her daughter. "Look at the man you want to marry! He is threatening to kill your mother in front of you. Do you think he will treat you any good?! If you don't break up with him this instance, I will disown you."
Lisa rolled her eyes at her mother. She was too controlling, so was her father. They had even forced her into a magic contract which stated that she could not get together with anyone but a man with the potential to beco a magic emperor. It just showed that her parents wanted to use her as a bargaining chip to establish a connection with a Magic Emperor. They were willing to sell their daughter for a re connection.
"Disown ? Do you even have the authority?" Lisa spat out in anger. Except for her grandfather, who dared kick her out of the ho?! If soone dared, she would make a ss out of them!
"Mother, stop making a joke of yourself and go away."
"Hmph! You'll regret it." Lady Charlotte stomped her foot on the ground out of anger and then walked away. After getting out of the mountain, she cursed Lisa, saying that she was an ungrateful wrench who deserved to get married to the devil and be beaten to death.
As snow fell from the sky and many flying artifacts shot through the air, Lady Charlotte cursed the devil who humiliated her and cursed her daughter for a thousand Li. One Li=500 ter.
"Sad?"
Lisa didn't know when but tears had started running down her eyes.
"Not sad." She shook her head in refusal.
"Don't cry." Elliot grabbed her face and used his warm thumbs to wipe her tears away.
"Then, make feel better," Lisa whispered between her sobs.
"Pick up any artifacts you like from here." Elliot, a man richer than thousands of CEOs, willingly offered up his newfound wealth to his wife all so that he could make her happy.
Lisa chuckled and teasingly said, "What if I want them all?"
Elliot planted a kiss on her forehead, then looked at her in the eyes and said, "A deal with the devil always cos with a heavy price. The more you take from now, the more I will love you in bed."
If she takes it all away, he might not stop for a hundred days.
It would be horrifying to experience such intense love!
"I will just take that and this and also this.. I want that, too~."
