Chapter 113: The High Elf, They, and the Blank Moon!
The most sensible one agreed with him right away, but the two others protested. However, their father pacified the situation by emotionally blackmailing them, telling them how heartbroken their mother would be if sothing happens to even one of them.
The kids were clearly emotionally shaken when they thought about how heartbroken their mother would be if any one of them were to die. But one of the two still protested, begging to go to the place she always dreamt of exploring.
The father refused to send here there but he promised them that he would let them explore one after they graduate from the Academy and beco full-fledged magicians.
The daughter reluctantly gave up, and soon they were no longer in the arena.
After they went away, a twenty or so years old woman said, “This is a serious matter. I need to consult with my master.”
Instructor Leonard replied, “Take it easy. You have around an hour to co to a decision.”
A few people talked to their master, asking whether they should sign the magic contract or not. Many got a yes, while the others got a big fat no.
anwhile, Master Seer went over to Sylas and started talking with him.
When Sylas saw him coming towards him, he bowed his head, albeit a little, and said, “Sorry for disappointing you, grandfather.”
Master Seer raised his hand. Sylas closed his eyes, believing that he is about to reprimand him by pulling his ears or slapping his face. Master Seer did no such thing. He rely patted his head, acting almost as if his grandson has done sothing to impress him.
Sylas’s eyes widened in surprise. This was the first ti his grandfather has shown such love, and unsurprisingly, it didn’t feel bad.
“Admitting defeat to soone like him isn’t sothing disappointing. It’s a decision that the sensible and rational ones would make. I’m rather proud that you knew your limits and gave up before ever sneaking an attack on him.” Master Seer said.
“Thanks for the praise, grandfather. I will always rember your words.”
“I will go straight to the point. Do you want to go there or not?”
“Although my parents died while exploring a settlent, I am not afraid.”
Master Seer’s eyes turned red for a while, and if one looks closely enough, then they would also see a few tears. Before anyone could see it through, he blinked, and they vanished. Then, he said in a majestical voice, “Make sure that you return alive, no matter what, even if that ans losing everything.”
“I will do my best to live up to your expectations, grandfather,” Sylas responded.
Right after, the red-hared man turned around and walked away.
When Elliot heard them talking to each other, he verified that the red-haired man was indeed the grandfather of his childhood friend.
“Where are you looking at?” Charles asked while looking at Elliot.
“Ah, Nothing.” Elliot’s attention focused back on him. “What were you saying?”
“Are you sure you want to go there?” Charles asked.
“If a person isn’t brave enough to fish in troubled waters, then what’s the use of living?” Elliot replied, “Please sign the magic contract.”
“Since it’s your wish and I know you are far too strong than the ones going there, I will!” Agent Charles said.
“Thank you.”
After he used his blood to complete the magic contract, he looked towards Elliot with a grave expression on his face, and then he said, “Rember, the true danger while exploring the settlents aren’t monsters and traps, but humans. So might betray you to survive, and so might backstab you for the sake of a treasure. No matter what happens, always keep your guard up. Many people will be sad if you die there.”
Elliot showed him a smile. “I have no intention of dying.”
“Return gloriously!” Charles said before walking away.
He gave the magic contact to instructor Leonardo. He opened the magic contract and saw that it was signed by Elliot’s guardian. He nodded and then tapped away at the keyboard floating in front of his eyes, legalizing that Elliot and his guardian have given their consent to explore the settlent. And if he were to die, then the academy is not to be blad in any way or form.
Elliot saw a white-haired woman whose beauty surpassed everyone he has ever seen and matched even the moon’s talking to Theo Rose. Sadly, he couldn’t hear what they were saying.
However, he got to know a lot about her by using his godly right eye.
The beauty’s na was Temperance Grace.
Unlike Theo, she was a pure-blooded high-elf.
Drinking her blood would grant a human eternal youth.
She was a virgin, too. If a person mates with her, then they would obtain a part of her powers. That’s all the important part of the information. As for her three sizes and the panties she likes to wear the most, well, that was sothing exclusive only for Elliot to know.
“How is it going?” The beauty asked, her voice unhearable by anyone except for Theo.
Theo looked at her, then said, “I’ve found a few candidates who are good enough to join the resistance.”
The resistance was an organization run by the elves to fight against them, who are the reason why they had to abandon their world and co to planet Xavier.
“How long till you take them to the eting point?” Temperance asked.
To beco a part of the resistance, one needed to undergo a magical ritual. The place where that ritual is held is called the eting point.
“I still need to watch them for so ti to confirm whether they are trustworthy or not.” Theo wasn’t ready to involve the ones he scouted into a serious ss as most of them were so immature that he believed they would not take the situation seriously and die. Although Elliot was a good choice, he wasn’t sure whether he would agree or not. Thus, he didn’t tell the high-elf about him.
“We don’t have much ti. It’s already been many years since they targeted the world of humans and opened portals for the beasts to invade them.” Temperance said with a grave experience on her face, “Since the beasts haven’t succeeded in conquering the world, they will descend on the planet Earth on the day of the blank moon.”
Theo’s eyebrows raised. “Wouldn’t that day co within the next ten years?”
“Yes, the ti of the great war is creeping upon us. You’re the only hope for the revival of our world, the one chosen by the Mother Tree. You must hurry up, grow stronger and gather powerful allies.”
“But I can’t advance to the next stage. The mont I open my energy channels, the trackers that the sage sealed inside of my energy channels will appear on their radars.”
“Are you afraid of them, young one?” Temperance suddenly asked while looking at the half-elven boy with bright, beautiful eyes that contained traces of pity.
