Chapter 110: Elliot's reason!

Most of the onlookers couldn’t understand why instructor Leonardo hadn’t crowned Elliot as a winner, and they kept on looking at him, waiting for him to say the words.

However, he didn’t have any intention of doing so. After all, the battle royale still hasn’t ended.

Three seconds later, Elliot looked towards his shadow, playful glints jumping in his eyes. Then, he said, “Everyone has been eliminated except for us. We’re the only one left, Big Boss. How about you co out?”

An instant after he said those words, his shadow squird. Right after, it stretched for a few ters away from him. Then, darkness sprouted out of the shadow’s edge, swirling around before taking the shape of a human.

“OMG, a person was hiding in his shadows, and we didn’t even notice.”

“What the hell?”

Seeing that the person who ca out of Elliot’s Shadow is none other than Sylas, the mouth of the onlooker gaped in surprise and their eyes widened in disbelief. None of them knew that he had the superpower to beco one with one’s shadow. They also didn’t know when he hid inside Elliot’s shadow or how he managed to do it without gaining anyone’s attention.

“Lol, wait! This person looks familiar! Isn’t he one of the participants with two superpowers and one magic matrix?”

“Make it three. He didn’t use any shadow-related superpower before.”

“Three superpowers and one magic matrix, isn’t this too overpowered? Rather, how is it possible for a magician to contain three kinds of supernatural cells in their bloodstream? Isn’t it normalized for different kinds of supernatural cells to wage war, clash against each other to dominate and annihilate the opposite cells, killing the magician in the process?”

“That’s not important!”

“The thing is, he is alive, and we are witnessing yet another miracle!”

“Two miracles in a single day, what a surprise!!”.

Cheers erupted from the crowd. The people hailed the two boys as miracles.

Standing opposite to each other, the two teenagers looked at each other in the eyes.

“When did you found out that I was hiding in your shadow?” Sylas asked the question that has been bothering him for a while.

“Hmm, well, I knew you were going to hide in my shadow the mont you subrged into the arena’s floor and sneaked towards .”

Sylas was taken aback by his words, shocked to know that all the things he did in this tournant hadn’t escaped Elliot’s eyes. Just like Elliot said, he truly had used one of his many superpowers to beco one with the earth before reaching underneath Elliot. Then, he waited for the attention of the crowd to shift on to sothing else.

When Elliot had hurled the ball of obliteration at Linda, the eyes of the onlookers focused on the ball, subconsciously or consciously. That was the mont he used his fourth superpower and shapeshifted into the form of a shadow. Then, his shadow intertwined with Elliot’s shadow, making him beco one with his shadow.

“Why didn’t you attack ? You could have defeated if you suddenly launched an attack on your shadow when I beca one with your shadow. Why did you show rcy and waited for this long? Why did you let use you to eliminate the other participants? Why did you allow to climb to this position?” Sylas asked a bunch of questions, looking at Elliot with confusion in his eyes, unable to understand why he didn’t do anything against him.

It would have made sense if Elliot didn’t know that he was hiding in his shadow. But after finding out that he did know that he was hiding in his shadow but still didn’t attack to eliminate him, Sylas felt confused out of his mind.

“You saved on the day of our high school graduation, rember? When I was the weakest, no one gave a fuck about . Although the teachers and students could make out that Alexander and his friend were out to get , none of them bothered to do anything about it. After all, why would anyone cares whether a roadside dog lives or die? Naturally, Alexander took it upon his own hand to crush the weak dog I was. He knew that even if he gets caught after killing , the association wouldn’t badly punish soone with a promising future like him. If it weren’t for you, I would have died under Alexander’s hands. It might not an a lot to you, but I reached so far because I managed to live through that day. I helped you to repay a part of your grace, and If you want to win this tournant, then I will step down to clear the debt I owe you.” Elliot said without a single trace of pity in his voice.

He never pitied himself, and he never would.

He was just trying to tell soone, who had grown distant with him over the years, that he didn’t take action against him not because he had ulterior motives but because he was trying to repay a debt of gratitude.

Each of his words hit the hearts of the onlookers, especially Lisa and Nina. One of them was his childhood friend, yet she wasn’t there when he, needed her the most, when he was about to die under soone’s hands.

“I hope he can forgive for abandoning him for all those years,” Nina said in a low voice, sadness brimming in her eyes.

Headmaster Gerald, however, heard her words as he was sitting close to her and also had a hearing far better than anyone on the Erald Mountain.

He patted her on the head, then gently said, “It’s not your fault. If soone’s to be blad, then it’s your parents. They went against the wishes of your grandfather and even forcefully took you away.”

“Thank you, grandpa. I’m fine now.” Nina said.

She erased any thoughts of trying to win his heart, not only because she failed him, but also because of so personal reasons.

Headmaster Gerald sighed, feeling sad for her sake.

Lisa, on the other hand, felt rage at the bastard that dared to try to kill her beloved.

“Damn that Alexander bastard! Good thing he is already sickly. Otherwise, I would have crippled him!” Lisa cursed Alexander in her mind for so monts before calming down.

Then, she looked at Elliot.

“If only I had t him earlier, I would have given the world to him!” Lisa subconsciously blurted out her thoughts, unaware that the people nearby have heard her embarrassing words.

Theo heard her words, then rolled his eyes. Lisa was Elliot’s fortune that ca because the golden glow of glory replaced the dark glow of death surrounding Elliot’s body for so impeccable reasons. If it hadn’t happened, then Lisa wouldn’t have encountered Elliot, and even if she did, she wouldn’t have given a damn about him.

“Why are you rolling your eyes?” John asked while looking at Theo.

“Who knows?” Theo said before hanging his hands behind his head and looking at the conformation between the two friends in the arena.
