The Coast of the Mo Se Sea. Yui Bay.
In a newly constructed do-shaped building, the most influential figures of the entire human world were gathered today. In a sense, these people could even be called a global governnt, as it was by their will that the fates of hundreds of thousands were decided.
The assembly of world leaders had been ongoing for hours. Since dawn, a couple dozen people had not left their seats around the massive round table. Representing the Earth Kingdom were King Lao, King Omashu Roku, forr King Bumi, King Lao's daughter Toph, and King Roku's wives—Shizuka, June, and Suyuki. Of course, only the two primary representatives of this faction—Lao and Roku—sat at the table itself.
Across from them sat Fire Lord Azula, her expression impassive, with her chief advisor Wan beside her. Slightly farther away were Azula's loyal companions, Mai and Ty Lee, joined by the forr princess's mother, Ursa.
Between the two hegemons sat the mbers of the Northern Water Tribe. From the land of eternal snow and ice ca Chief Yukki himself. His entourage included the forr Chief and Yukki's father, Arnuk. Nearby sat Princess Yui, with Katara and Sokka, the latter two soon to be known as the rulers of the Southern Water Tribe. After all, the revival of the Southern Pole had already begun.
Last but not least were the Air Nomads. Today, only two airbenders remained—the unknown Yo and the current bearer of the Great Spirit Raava, Avatar Aang. Behind them sat three enchanting won, their beauty so perfect it seed otherworldly. No blemishes, not a single stray hair—everything about them felt ethereal, not of this world.
"Yukki's lucky, I an Yo...," Sokka muttered to himself for the umpteenth ti, his eyes drifting toward them. He wasn't the only one staring... In Yui's, Katara's, and Toph's gazes was pure female envy.
"Is that really the Avatar?" Mai asked skeptically. It just so happened that at that exact mont, Aang tried to discreetly pick his nose. Needless to say, in such a confined space where everyone's face was visible, the attempt was dood to fail. "Just a kid...," she scoffed, rolling her eyes.
Two hours earlier, all parties had signed a docunt establishing a new alliance—the Confederation of Nations. The comprehensive agreent outlined nurous points of economic and military cooperation among the participating countries. All land, water, and air borders had been finalized. A unified currency would be introduced across the board by the following year.
"I'd like to aim for a Federation right away, but people aren't ready for that yet...," Yukki, Yo, Wan, and Roku thought simultaneously.
There would likely be challenges ahead. Not everyone could accept that forr enemies, who had killed countless of their own, were now willing to make peace—or even beco friends. But it was better to lead the change than to wait idly, hoping people's minds would shift on their own.
"There's one last thing... What shall we na the new city-state?" Lao asked, scanning the room.
"How about 'Jericho'?" the mysterious airbender Yo suggested. "If I recall from my past life, that was the na of perhaps the oldest city in existence."
"I'm fine with it," Aang replied imdiately, raising his hand. He was tired of sitting and doing nothing. What use was he here if he hadn't understood half of what had been said all day? "I think I now understand why everyone hates politics..."
"I agree too," Chief Yukki added.
Within a minute, everyone voted for "Jericho." Thus, a new nation with a parliantary system was born, with ten representatives from each nation serving as senators. Due to the small number of Air Nomads, Yo, Aang, Dria, Celine, and Gaia would each receive two votes in parliant.
The territory of the new country would be Yui Bay. In the Avatar Korra series, this was where Republic City was established. It's worth noting that many locations were proposed, but this one seed the best. The year-round favorable climate, the potential for a massive port, and its nearly equal distance from the capitals of the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Water Tribe left no other choice. Perhaps it was no coincidence that during Avatar Yangchen's ti, the city of Tienhai was founded on this bay's shore. For a long ti, it was considered the most significant city in the world, attracting traders from all nations.
Jericho would serve as a platform for further cooperation among the peoples. The entire city would be a grand experint, the results of which would help leaders understand if different nations could truly coexist. The example of the oldest colony, Yu Dao, showed a significant economic and technological leap, driven primarily by the unity of two peoples.
The city's project had already been approved, and laws would soon be drafted. It would take so ti before Jericho could welco its first residents. Each nation pledged to send a certain number of its people. Undoubtedly, they would need to be enticed with various incentives, from free housing to guaranteed employnt.
"Mr. Yo, are you sure there won't be any issues with General Old Iron?" King Lao asked.
"Who's this 'General'?" Azula quickly inquired, raising her right eyebrow gracefully. She never liked not knowing or understanding sothing.
"Ahem," Wan coughed awkwardly behind her, realizing he'd forgotten to ntion one... small detail about the area. As Lao, understanding the situation, wisely paused, Wan began hastily explaining about the ancient spirit.
"An ancient spirit?!" Azula exclaid softly. "I don't think we should trust the words of an unfamiliar airbender!" Yukki, Lao, and Roku uncomfortably averted their gazes, indicating they sowhat trusted Yo. "Sothing's clearly off here...," Azula thought.
"Fire Lord Azula, you have nothing to worry about. One way or another, the spirit will voluntarily leave this place!" Yo assured, placing a hand over his heart. Honestly, he was slightly offended by such distrust from his own woman... But then he rembered that for him, all won were undivided, while many here still didn't know about his bodies...
"And why should he do that?" she asked, a perfectly reasonable question.
Soon, Yo recounted the relationship between the spirits Lady Tienhai and General Old Iron. He spoke of the battle between Avatar Yangchen and the General, the subsequent creation of the Lady Tienhai Festival, and the agreent Yangchen and the General had made.
"...Thanks to the help of an extrely clever and wise spirit, we found Lady Tienhai's current incarnation. I think no one doubts he'll imdiately follow her, forgetting about the city," Yo concluded.
Through Wan Shi Tong's connections, they had found Lady Tienhai, though there was no certainty about her whereabouts. After all, it was unknown what she had done with herself... At the peak of her power, she was a formidable ancient spirit, and upon becoming human, where had all that energy gone? Most likely, it hadn't vanished but was simply sealed. Of course, the death of her primary, albeit human, body had affected her, which was why Wan Shi Tong found her weakened and with gaps in her mory.
After a series of clarifying questions from Azula, the eting finally ended.
"It was good to see everyone," Lao bowed. "I look forward to further cooperation."
Soon, the others began to take their leave, but before anyone could exit, Yukki's voice rang out:
"I ask all the girls and won, as well as Yo, Wan, and Roku, to remain in this room."
"Go for it, Casanova!" Bumi teased, patting Roku on the shoulder.
Dria, Gaia, Katara, and Yui didn't even rise from their seats, remaining calmly seated. Shizuka looked pensive, as if trying to piece sothing together. The rest exchanged puzzled glances.
As soon as the last participant left, an oppressive silence fell over the room. Deep down, each girl, unaware of his true abilities, braced for so alarming news.
"I've wanted to confess to all of you for a long ti," Yukki began.
"But I kept putting off the mont," Roku continued.
"We ask forgiveness in advance from all the won dear to our hearts...," Wan bowed his head.
"Perhaps so of you have already guessed—all four of us are one person!" Yo concluded.
To prove his words, they rged and separated again. At that mont, it pained him to see the disbelieving and even angry expressions on the faces of the people dear to his heart, whom he had deceived or misled all this ti. He then briefly explained so of his abilities.
"S-so, are they all your won too?" Azula asked, her voice trembling.
"...No, not all," he stamred slightly, in his original body, with long white hair and deep purple eyes. Only Kaya was missing, currently caring for their little baby. "But you're all part of my life... I'll understand if any of you no longer wish to be connected to ," he continued softly. "I'll understand, but I won't accept it!" he finished firmly.
"If need be, I'll win your hearts again! Maybe in so eyes, I'll seem like a real bastard and betrayer... But the feelings I have for you have always been genuine!" As he spoke, he looked each of them in the eye, seeing sadness in so, understanding in others, and a multitude of emotions. Under their varied gazes, he silently left the room, giving them ti to "digest" what they'd heard.
Dividing into interest groups, they imdiately began sharing their feelings. As much as they tried to deny it, he had already beco inseparable from them.
"So, are they all part of our family too?" Celine asked happily.
"Well, in a way, yes," Dria replied uncertainly.
"Great, I'm going to introduce myself!" Celine fluttered over to the girls in blue fur coats.
Nearby, a conversation took place between mother and daughter.
"I expected sothing like this," Shizuka murmured softly. "Daughter, did you suspect sothing too?" she asked, noting her daughter's calmness.
"No," Toph shook her head. "His words were unexpected for too. But why should we worry? It doesn't matter if it's Roku or Yukki—what matters is that he still loves us."
"Calm down, Toph," June said calmly to the angrily huffing Beyfong heiress. "You know you won't stop feeling for him anyway..."
"I know!" Toph confird. "But that's what annoys !"
Azula was no less furious. Yet, she couldn't truly be angry with him. How could she hate the person who first gave her warmth? Who beca her first man...
"If it weren't for so flaws, he'd be too perfect," Mai said softly, her cheeks slightly pink.
Thanks to the cheerful Celine, everyone soon got to know each other. It was still awkward, but they tried to build connections.
All this ti, the main culprit sat outside the building, eavesdropping on their conversations. When everything resolved so smoothly, a massive smile spread across his face.
Later, a tense dialogue took place with the spirit General. A fragnt of Lady Tienhai's energy, prudently taken by Wan Shi Tong, played a significant role. Without it, there would have been a battle he was destined to lose. Even if all his bodies united, he couldn't match an ancient spirit.
Now, nothing and no one stood in the way of building the new city.
