*Gurgle, Gurgle!*
King Sandoon clawed at his throat, trying to stop the blood from pouring out of the huge gash that dug out half his neck. He quickly realized, however, that his healing abilities weren't working. Whatever the brazen invader had attacked him with stunted all regeneration.
"Hmm?" Knox stepped forward, teleporting right beside the King. "Best speak up now or forever hold your peace."
"Yeah, forever hold da peace!" Lily copied from atop his shoulders.
'What do you expect to do, you evil bastard!?' King Sandoon inwardly shouted. 'I couldn't talk even if I wanted to! Wait… Yes! I can communicate through Voice Transmission!'
"Hwa?" Knox sported a gangsta's mug. "Did you just tell straight to my face that my grandmother is a whore and my mother a lady of the night!? Truly courting death!"
'What!?? I never sai—'
Acting like the tyrannical Young Master his 2nd Title dictated him to be, Knox slashed forward without listening to a single word spoken by the King. He diced the helpless bastard into tens of thousands of pieces, doing so right before the tearful eyes of his loved ones. His soldiers and confidants mourned his death with bellows and cries.
However, one must not forget that these were all NPCs…
*Ding!*
[You have slain the Early Soul Formation Realm King of Sandoon!]
[A small-sized pile of Attribute Orbs has dropped!]
[Strength 3,210,000]
[Agility 2,340,000]
[Perception 1,900,000]
[Affinity 6,400]
X9 more…
[Due to the presence of the Kingdom Building System imposed by the entity known as the Six-Winged Seraphim's Eye, you now have two options.]
[Option 1: Slaughter the rest of King Sandoon's forces and potentially lose out on future Kingdom Coins.] - [Reward: 20,000 Kingdom Coins]
[Option 2: Spare the lives of King Sandoon's forces and prepare for the future of your 'Tyrant's Kingdom' by taking them in as subordinates.] - [Reward: 10,000 Kingdom Coins 30,000 Subordinates]
Without hesitation, Knox chose the sa option that he had for the last few dozen countries he conquered. And contrary to what one might've assu, he picked—
The 2nd Option!
"As much as killing everything I see sounds so very profitable, I have to continue thinking long-term," Knox stated while making the decision to take them in as his own. "I've already been doing this for 140 years, and I can't give up now."
Ti within the King's Grounds worked very unusually. Otherworlders experienced the passing of ti as if things were 1000 tis faster, aning that at the cost of no Kingdom Coins, a thousand years inside actually felt like a single year. Even more odd was the fact that the progression of ti while in the King's Grounds did not alter things like one's bone age.
If an Otherworlder used no Kingdom Coins to speed up ti even further, then a thousand years inside the King's Grounds increased one's bone age by a single year. And for most, that was all there was to it. However, for Knox and his little Mini , the benefits didn't end there.
"We pledge our loyalty to Your Majesty, the Tyrannical Emperor!" X10s of thousands.
"Yeah, whatever," Knox shrugged off their fervent cheers. "I don't think I'm ever going to get used to how grieving spouses and parents are suddenly ready to kiss my a*s the mont I have the Kingdom's System make them my subordinates. But anyway, I believe my Ti Law just advanced to Level 2."
Although the progression of cultivation, techniques, and martial skills within the King's Grounds was synonymous with the natural ti conversion of the outside world, that didn't an progression wasn't still possible. This was, after all, the Trial ant to allow for an easier ti breaking through into the Soul Formation Realm. A feat that was the way it was because of auxiliary purchases that could be made with Kingdom Coins, as well as the continuous conquering and pillaging of the prosperous countries scattered throughout the Isolated Dinsion.
Because of the allowance of progression, the constant manipulation of Ti around him, and the company of Lily Serpentine, Knox was able to massively advance his comprehension in the Ti Law. An extrely esoteric and hard-to-understand Law of the Universe.
Normally, even divine geniuses with an Affinity for the Law of Ti would require thousands of regular years to reach Level 2. And under normal circumstances, it would've taken at least this much ti for the Saint Affinity-ranked Knox as well.
But these weren't normal circumstances, now were they?
"Thanks to you and this weird place, I managed to achieve sothing spectacular," Knox praised while laying pets down on his munchkin's soft bed of black hair. "At this rate, I might actually be able to outwardly project the Law of Ti a lot sooner than expected. Then, perhaps after the passing of a few dozen regular years, I'll be capable of effectively utilizing the Law in battle."
"Umu?" Question marks appeared over Lily's head. "I did sothing like that, Big Bro…?"
"Yup, yup," Knox said as he tousled her hair. "You're my little lucky charm!"
Lily Serpentine didn't quite understand what he ant by that, but as indicated by the giddy grin plastered across her adorable face, she was happy to help. Whatever Big Bro wanted, she'd do it without a second thought. For saving her from that previous torturous way of life, that was the very least she could do.
While showering his munchkin with a bunch of complints, Knox's mind traced back to the different levels of the Ti Law—at least the ones he knew of.
Level 1 - Faster processing and reaction speed, as well as varying boosts in physical speed.
Level 2 - Extre boosts to processing, reaction, and physical speeds. Can now also use the Ti Law to improve the speed at which one comprehends various techniques.
Level 3 - Basic usage of Rudintary Ti Law spells like Ti Bind, Ti Crawl, Ti Stop, Ti Loop, Speed-up, Slow-down, Reversal, and Isolation Ti Manipulation in a very limited area.
Level 4 - Effective utilization of Rudintary Ti Spells, and ???? With ??????
Level 5 - ???????????
