[Also, I know your head is a useless waste of space, but don't you think it would be good if you were to use the small pink mass inside it every once in a while? You described with multiple words, not just one.]
Knox let out a mischievous smile. "Oops. When I'm talking to you, I just can't seem to help myself. I an, there's just so much to say about you that I find it difficult to stop myself."
[Hoho~, apology accepted! I know I'm great!]
[( • ̀ω•́ )✧]
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say," Knox muttered, rolling his eyes. "Now be quiet as I finish cleaning up the rest of Serpent's Basin."
[Ho~? You just want to et that venomous big booty b*tch ahead of schedule~]
[But very well, ga recognizes ga.]
"...."
— An Unspecified Amount of Ti Later —
"I see that you've finally co," said a crisp feminine voice, one belonging to the Cobra Empress. "I figured you'd eventually find your way to —after all, that is why you've been doing everything you've been doing, no? But I never imagined you'd arrive before like… this…"
Knox smirked. "What? You don't like the way I look when I'm drenched in the blood of those I've killed? Those who were once your subordinates?"
The Cobra Empress seductively licked her lips, her purple eyes glazing over. "I assud that the least you'd do was wash up before we had our destined eting. However, it seems that you don't view this eting at the sa level of importance as I do."
"You're wrong about that," Knox replied, flaring the Intent Swords he wielded. "I treat this fateful encounter of ours as sothing extrely dear to my heart. Why would I not? After all, you'll be providing with so many benefits."
The Cobra Empress elegantly arched a brow.
"Benefits?" she repeated, glancing around at her mostly demolished castle and the thousands of dead Nascent Soul Realm Beast-kin. "I fail to see what exactly you have to benefit from that you haven't already taken for yourself. You slaughtered my armies, the armies of my subordinates, my subordinates. Almost every treasury vault in Serpent's Basin has been robbed clean by you. What's left? My Royal Treasury?"
Knox scoffed, conjuring thousands of Intent Swords.
"Your Royal Treasury is definitely sothing I wish to clean out, but that is not where the benefits truly lie," he said, unleashing the full capacity of the Saint-rank Half-step Core Formation Realm. "Do you wanna know the true answer?"
"Do tell."
FWIP!
"It's you!"
"Hmm?" The Cobra Empress calmly raised her hand, the tip of her index finger's nail stopping Knox's full-power strike. "Not bad."
FWOOOSH!
Violent, rolling winds blew out behind her, destroying even more of the castle that was already on its last legs. Yet, even as everything around her was shredded to bits, she didn't budge an inch.
A light flick of her hand was all it took to send Knox flying backward.
"But in the end, you're just a—" The Cobra Empress briefly paused as she blurred forward. "—just a human."
BOOOM!
A vigorous blow found its mark in Knox's abdon. Dozens of bones cracked and broke as he was sent rocketing backward at an even faster speed. His beaten and bloodied figure crashed through hundreds of walls before ultimately sailing outside the enormous castle.
With eyes that struggled to remain open, Knox saw the castle explode into bits. Not because of his gallant exit, but because of the imnsely potent aura being discharged by the slowly ascending Cobra Empress. Her voluptuous curves jiggled and ricocheted with every slight movent she made—an alluring sight that would leave any number of devout Buddhists salivating.
"Though, I must say, for a re human, you've really managed to make a ss of things," the Cobra Empress nonchalantly said, doing so in a way that made it seem as if her entire Region hadn't beco a sea of blood in the past period of ti. "But even after everything you've worked so hard to demolish, I can build it all up again. And this ti, I'll create sothing that won't fall to a single living being originating from an inferior slave race."
Grabbing hold of Knox's legs, the Cobra Empress slung him away without a care. He was drilled deep into the ground, his face quite literally eating the dirt.
Yet, even while buried thousands of ters under the ground, the Cobra Empress pinpointed his exact location and appeared beside him. She stared at his bloody, convulsing visage with an expression devoid of emotion.
"You know, I was debating whether I'd kill an audacious worm like you now or later," she said. "But now I've decided. You'll be going to a special place that I reserve for only the prettiest and most troubleso of toys. Oh, and if you believe your paltry disguise works against , then you can think again."
"Haiz… The Beauty and the Beast," Knox muttered, listlessly watching as the Cobra Empress carried him away from the area. "T… To think that my beauty couldn't best the beast… Tis a damn sha…"
He let out a helpless thought. 'I have to admit, I was hoping that I'd be capable of putting up a better fight. But as it turns out, the real Soul Formation Realm—one neither artificial nor weakened—is in a totally different realm of existence. Not to ntion that this hot, crazy chick isn't too far away from breaking through to the Middle Soul Formation Realm. And as I imagine it to be, each Minor Stage in the Soul Formation Realm is like the difference between Heaven and Earth…'
After lugging Knox around in flight for a while, the Cobra Empress ca to a stop and floated down to a surprisingly ordinary house. It was three stories tall, located at the lip of a seaside cliff, and overlooked a vast blue sky and sea.
But most notable of all had to be the fact that there were life signatures glaring within the house yet no auras…
How strange.
