Lower Outer Gods were the only Outer Gods known to stick close to the lower lifeforms, which encompassed anyone in and below the Virtual Destruction Realm.
It was one of these Mortal Minglers that descended to an area located sowhere in the Azura Empire so thousands of years ago. He was found by the Unorthodox Devilstar in critical condition. And though he had instructed the Unorthodox Devilstar to let him pass on, the abnormal human ignored him.
The human did everything in his power to heal him.
But nothing worked…
An Outer God was simply too advanced a lifeform. One that a re Half-step Void Refining Realm Cultivator would never be able to heal.
Especially not one who lived in such a desolate place like the Azura Empire…
However, even though the Lower Outer God knew his Divine Spark would flicker its last ember, it sensed sothing in the human. Genuine mortal compassion. Sothing that was few and far between among the lower lifeforms.
It was because of this discovery that the Lower Outer God passed on sothing before its untily demise: The Outer God Mark.
It was proof of the Lower God's existence. It was also the only known way a destined Mortal could obtain one of the most important pieces of an Outer God: The Source of the Outer God.
If one was successful in assimilating with the Mark of an Outer God, then they'd imdiately see an Outer God's Source form inside them. From this formation, they'd instantly receive the lower-leveled Physique that the Outer God possessed in life; furthermore, they'd acquire an Innate Technique practiced by all Lower Outer Gods.
"Nine Sky Divine Source."
OOOM!
The First Sky!
Each Sky of the Technique represented a stage that one had cultivated of the Lower Outer God Physique. And though the First Sky was just the beginning of the Cultivation journey of a Lower Outer God, it was still vastly superior to a common Soul Formation Realm Cultivator's cultivation base.
Knox's presence multiplied manyfold as a single halo materialized above his head. This represented the First Sky and was the first indication of a Mortal transcending his humanity.
"WHAT!? YOU THINK JUST THAT WILL STOP !!? !???"
Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons exploded in fury as he let plumt from above him all the city-sized fireballs. They contained within them enough energy to wipe out entire countries, with their fall from Heaven burning even the Elents and Laws in the area to a crisp.
Knox suddenly shot his eyes open, a golden brilliance shooting out of them. He then moved his hand in a blur, the halo floating above his head glowing in sync with the movents he perford with the Sword of the End.
In an instant, and without a big commotion, the dozens of fireballs dissipated.
"HOW!?" Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons was overco with dumbfoundnt.
What he conjured should've been enough to completely obliterate whole groups of Half-step Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators, yet it was dispersed so easily. So effortlessly!
So… So…
Disrespectfully!!
"I'LL KILL YOU, WORM!!!!"
Knox sharply exhaled, the crisp sound of his Nagikatana leaving its sheath echoing once more. He whipped it around, with its flawless sides reflecting his impassive appearance in them.
"You've already said that once before. Can't you co up with anything new?"
His calm question fluttered through the tension-filled skies; however, it only further incensed Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons. He sprouted nearly a hundred more appendages; blood leaked from his dozens of hideous faces as he burned through his lifeforce in an attempt to achieve a higher level of strength.
The Early Soul Transformation Realm!
RUMBLE!!!
Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons' temporary advancent into the Soul Transformation Realm was imdiately followed by the raising of his weapon-arms. He then roared like crazy while gathering a record-breaking amount of Fire Energy centerpiece above his Main Head.
SWOOOOSH!
A sphere of flas so massive that it trumped the size of several planets ford above Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons' heavily mutated figure. It spun in place at thousands of tis the speed of light, with the produced solar fla winds attracting the attention of just about everyone.
Standing to the far back on the side of the Lightning, Fire, and Air Nations, a few extrely powerful figures were discussing this matter with one another.
"Who is the one summoning that attack?" asked a sturdy man garbed in robes with a giant lightning bolt embroidered on the front. "I know the youngling is one of our Pri Targets, but that monstrosity was not in any of the reports. Which doesn't make any sense considering its strength. Likely only the Ancestors could take it down as it is without sustaining any damage."
A fire-adorned figure locked in on the faraway battle between Knox and Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons. "The abomination should be the Sect Leader of that one Rank 4 Sect—one of our contacts on the inside. As for how he got like this and how he got so strong, I'm unsure. He obviously kept so things from us. Though it wasn't like we were totally truthful with him either."
The calr-looking representative of the Air Nation silently scrutinized the huge flaming sun hanging above Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons. He spoke no words, but he didn't need to to understand that such a powerful attack posed a threat even to him.
Noticing this, the Lightning Kingdom Representative chuckled. "You're too cautious for your own good, Aero. There's no way those flas can even get within a thousand feet of you, what with your Heaven-ranked Aeromonia Physique."
No response ca from the Air Nation Representative.
"He always was the silent type," comnted the Fire Nation Representative. "Well, no matter, leave him be and let's do our part in this battle."
The Lightning Nation Representative nodded.
FWIP! FWIP! FWIP!
All three of them vanished, with their targets having already been designated.
Reappearing beside a refined man garbed in all white and carrying a Heaven-ranked Sword close to his heart, the Air Nation Representative made his presence known.
"There's no need for that."
