"What’s the matter?"

She was startled for no reason, her heart jumping in chaos.

He chuckled softly, gathered her long hair, and rolled it up to reveal her neck. He sighed and left a kiss on the back of her neck.

"Instead of asking , why not ask yourself why you’re so nervous?" He mischievously wrote on her palm.

She felt a lack of oxygen, carefully dodged him: "I thought you weren’t feeling well."

He took a long breath in the darkness.

Holding her palm, he held his breath and wrote: "Yes, yes, I’m not feeling well."

"What’s wrong?" Shi Nian couldn’t help but feel nervous.

The nights had been getting chillier lately, even though he had borrowed a blanket from Gu Yong and the others, the room still felt cold at night. With her period in the past two days, he had been ticulously taking care of her, making her worry that he might have caught a cold at night.

He remained silent, walked back to the sofa, and sat down.

She beca even more anxious, quickly walked back and touched him, checking if his forehead was feverish or if his body temperature was off anywhere.

He took a long breath under her palm.

And indeed, his body temperature seed a bit unusual.

She grew worried, pulling the blanket over and wrapping it around him.

He could only smile helplessly in the darkness.

His body temperature was indeed strange, though it wasn’t due to catching a cold.

He stopped her from staying busy, held her small hand, and pulled her to sit down next to him. He spread her palm open and wrote stroke by stroke: "You’ve been here for so long, aren’t you curious about what I look like?"

Shi Nian’s face flushed red.

She lowered her head, already vaguely able to picture his hazy image before her eyes. His tall figure, his mischievous smile, was already faintly present.

Her hand was grasped by him, and placed on his own face.

He wrote gently in her palm: "Touch ."

She giggled shyly, "Blind person feeling the elephant, huh?"

"Mm-hmm," he laughed too, though sohow the laughter was a bit hoarse.

She couldn’t help but explore along his cheek, cautiously. His high nose bridge, his thin but defined lips, his deep eye sockets, his big eyes, and his long lashes...

She smiled but quickly withdrew her hand in embarrassnt.

It was already quite good.

She took a deep breath and spoke slowly, "Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations for your appearance. You have your intellect, your wisdom, and that’s already enough to attract ."

He caught the implication, grabbed her hand eagerly, and wrote on her palm: "So does this an you were already attracted to online?"

She could only sigh.

If not, why would she allow him to touch her so affectionately?

He was sowhat surprised, almost in disbelief, hurriedly writing again: "But you said you liked police officers!"

Only heaven knew how long he’d been conflicted over this!

She could only smile: "This isn’t contradictory. I like police officers because of my dad, and in my vicinity, those possessing reasoning skills, those utilizing their inference talent, are essentially police officers. You know, I even once imagined you were a police officer online, always feeling your speech and knowledge must be rooted in law enforcent, otherwise, how could you be so detailed about major global cases."

His face turned irredeemably red.

Of course, she had seen right through him.

If not for the Tang Family being a law family, if not for getting the freshest police inside information from his second uncle, he might not have shone so brightly on BBS.

Although he had always refused his family, saying he didn’t want to join the police, deep down, his soul was already stamped with the police mark.

He sighed contentedly, carefully writing again: "So... you do like , right?"

Sitting in the darkness, Shi Nian shyly closed her eyes tightly.

Even though her whole body was hot and trembling with nervousness, she lightly nodded: "Fool, if I didn’t like you, how could I allow you to behave this way?"

Exuberant, he moved forward, enclosing her small body completely in his arms.

His lips seared down arrogantly, persistently grinding, abandoning breath.

.

In the following darkness, he held her hand tightly, guiding her to "know" him.

Not just his face, his features, but his entirety...

Until that part, he roughly enclosed her small hand, preventing her from withdrawing due to shyness and fear.

He proclaid hoarsely beside her ear: "...You said it, ’blind person feeling the elephant.’ This is the ’elephant’."

Shi Nian was both shy and annoyed, yet she couldn’t break free from his small hand.

The tender palm... his arrogant self.

An unfamiliar and intense desire swept over the young man and woman in the darkness.

He breathed hoarsely, his fingertips continuously writing sweet words in her palm, yet his body arrogantly pressed her into the corner of the sofa, and then... knelt between her knees.

The unfamiliar touch made her bite her lip and scream in the darkness.

And he took advantage of her montary distraction—a complete assault.

The mont he wholly possessed her, she couldn’t help but shed tears in the darkness.

It wasn’t pain; actually, because of his patience, she was completely prepared, so there wasn’t any pain as imagined.

She was just, just—never in her life did she think she would give herself to a man whose face she hadn’t even seen, in such darkness.

She couldn’t help but think sadly, if after all this, they t in the sunlight among the crowd, would she even recognize him?

Amidst her extre joy, she quietly felt sadness, and under his delirious frenzy, she whispered in his ear: "If in the future... I an if, I can’t recognize you, you must recognize ; you have to wait until I rember."

His hand pinned her small hand against the wall, repeatedly writing: "You will definitely recognize , you definitely will."

As if to affirm this determination, he repeatedly left deeper and deeper imprints inside her.

Maybe her sadness scared him, so he continually gave his all...

Even though it was the first ti, he wanted to leave the deepest mark.

This ti he bit into all of her, and he poured all of himself into her.

At last, he playfully wrote in her palm: "Space of the Seven."

She surprisingly didn’t offer any resistance. He raised his eyebrow and explored carefully, only to find his little girl had already tired herself to sleep in his arms...

At that pleasurable mont, how could he have known that such perfection was ant for him to rely on mories for support over the next full four years.

.

In the following three days, the two young people who had just tasted delight had no safety asures and only relied on a rough calculation of the safe period, spending nearly three crazy days and nights.

During those three days, under the indulgence of darkness, they put all their fantasies and imaginations about this mysterious event into practice with each other.

In her heart, Shi Nian realized: this guy was really the worst person she had ever seen or could imagine.

Back then they didn’t know that a prolonged separation was sneaking up on them.

.

It was Gu Yong who first noticed sothing was off.

Previously, he and Tang Yanqing had agreed to et every day to discuss strategies. He also made Tang Yanqing consu a certain amount of ginger juice and banxia daily to prevent him from speaking and from accumulating too much poison.

But during those three days, Tang Yanqing refused to leave the room and wouldn’t see him.

Stranger still, in those three days, the two barely ate, leaving half the al boxes untouched.

Though Gu Yong couldn’t know directly how they spent all their ti and energy on the joy they first tasted, he intuitively knew sothing was definitely wrong.

On the fourth day, he refused to send food in normally.

Tang Yanqing, exhausted from three days of exertion and knowing Shi Nian was worn out, mischievously smiled and let Shi Nian sleep well while he dressed and left.

If everything went as he expected, Shi Haoran should be arriving soon.

The next step was to distract Gu Yong and create an opportunity for Shi Haoran. At that ti, with internal and external aid, they would escape to freedom.

.

Tang Yanqing was taken to another room by Xiao Mao and Gun Si, but did not see Gu Yong.

Xiao Mao explained that Gu Yong had sothing urgent and would be there soon.

Looking around, with a sense of previous delight, Tang Yanqing felt temporary waiting didn’t matter.

But he didn’t realize that this wait would be indefinite.

Nor did he know that Gu Yong hadn’t co to see him because he was eting another person. And this person was none other than Huangfu Huazhang.

Tang Yanqing waited patiently, even cooperatively eating the banxia-filled buns brought by Xiao Mao. After all, he had them every day and didn’t pay attention, until after he finished eating when inexplicable drowsiness swept over, but by then it was too late.

He wasn’t sent back to Shi Nian’s room, but was held separately. All this, unknown to Shi Nian.

.

Shi Nian was truly worn out by Tang Yanqing, sleeping a long deep sleep.

Upon waking, her stomach was growling, but in the darkness, she couldn’t accurately recall how long she had slept.

Sitting up, she suddenly realized soone was in the darkness.

A strong feeling of being watched made her inexplicably nervous. She asked softly: "Is it you? Are you back? Are you okay?"
