Jas squinted his eyes: "You’re right, brother. Our primary task as siblings now is to unite against external foes. It’s not yet ti for us to fight each other, is it?"
George listened and frowned; he naturally understood his brother’s warning.
He smiled and explained, "Look at you, still wary of . If it weren’t for your resistance to Mom’s villa, I wouldn’t have hesitated to call you for a eting. Let’s have dinner together tonight. If you still dislike coming here, we can eat out."
Ten minutes later, George got up and went out. As he reached the door, he instructed Dong Chen: "At all costs, continue to help acquire company shares. I must surpass Jas."
The brother, who was thirteen or fourteen back then, a child posing no threat to inheritance rights, has grown up after fifteen years, becoming his second major obstacle, second only to Huangfu Huazhang, in reclaiming the company.
.
Police station.
Tang Yanqing entered the interrogation room with a stack of photos, calling in the witnesses Luo Xiansheng brought back from Asia, one by one for identification.
Seeing those photos, the witnesses looked confused, each couldn’t help but lift their eyes towards Tang Yanqing, puzzled.
Tang Yanqing naturally understood why they were like this. He presented them with photos of both Huangfu Huazhang and George, asking them to identify which one they had seen in person; yet the witnesses all strangely asked, "Isn’t this the sa person?"
All those witnesses reacted similarly, so Tang Yanqing smiled and escorted them out. Shi Nian and the team mbers were also watching from behind the one-way glass, and when they returned to the office, everyone exchanged knowing looks.
Gao Cheng spoke first: "Therefore, what the witnesses see doesn’t necessarily an it’s Huangfu Huazhang, it could also be George."
Guan Liang continued: "George was originally sent to Asia, so reaching those war areas was easier for him than returning to Yanwu Square in M Country."
Tang Yanqing nodded: "The reasoning holds, but everyone, please provide with evidence."
While everyone was talking, Shi Nian kept her head down, scrutinizing the photos of George and Huangfu Huazhang. Perhaps she was too familiar with Huangfu Huazhang, these photos appeared distinctly different to her, with nurous variations.
But she was different from the witnesses. These witnesses might have only seen him once, or caught a glimpse from a distance, hence couldn’t distinguish them solely by appearance. So based solely on witness testimony, it could be two people, yet it still might be the sa person.
She looked for a while, then put Huangfu Huazhang’s photo aside, gathering George’s photos together, focusing only on him.
As she continued looking, her eyes suddenly brightened.
"Mr. Tang, I’ve found a way."
She asked Guan Liang to scan those photographs into the computer and projected them side-by-side on the large screen.
"Look, everyone. Although the similarity between Huangfu Huazhang and George’s appearance now reaches up to ninety percent, George’s look has been altered through continuous surgeries over several years. Look at his photos from a year, two years ago; the facial features differ from now, and the further you go back, the bigger the difference."
Everyone nodded after looking.
Shi Nian looked at Tang Yanqing excitedly.
He smiled and nodded at her, knowing he had thought of it long ago but left the sense of achievent for her.
Her face ward slightly, avoiding his intense gaze and focused on her presentation: "So, we can re-select the witnesses, filtering those who saw him recently and only choose those from three or four years ago to reconsider George’s and Huangfu’s older photographs."
Shi Nian added a point after finishing: "Especially regarding Huangfu’s leg, Mr. Tang can especially remind the witnesses. Sotis the face isn’t the sole identifying feature; adding body movent makes it more accurate."
"Well said." Tang Yanqing stood up, smiling approvingly at Shi Nian, then directed everyone, "Let’s divide the tasks, sift through the witnesses, and conduct the identification again."
This renewed identification indeed beca much clearer. Several witnesses testified that the person they saw didn’t show any signs of leg injury.
With definitive testimonies, everyone was jubilant.
