"So dorms even have teachers living there. This helps improve teacher-student relations quickly. Plus, Eastern students trust their teachers a lot, and being able to share a suite with them gives them a greater sense of security." Sean explained.

Shi Nian’s room is a double, shared with a girl from Sichuan, China nad Xue Ping. She’s as passionate and straightforward as Sichuan peppers, so Shi Nian calls her "Spicy Girl."

After helping Shi Nian settle her luggage, Sean put his hand on Shi Nian’s shoulder and sincerely said, "If you face any issues, co find . Chinese Doll, I’ll take care of you."

He had been helping her move her luggage and his hands were sweaty. His sweaty palms pressed onto her shoulder, the stickiness felt uncomfortable even through the fabric.

She held back carefully, bowed slightly, "Thank you, Sean."

Sean turned to leave, his gaze briefly floating over Spicy Girl’s face.

Spicy Girl quickly grabbed a freshly washed fruit and handed it over, "Hey, thanks Sean!"

After Sean left, Shi Nian curiously asked, "Are you familiar with Sean?"

Spicy Girl shrugged with a smile, "He’s the campus police officer, also responsible for our dorm building. You know, like the dorm auntie back in China. Getting to know them better is never a bad thing."

Just as they were talking, there was a knock on the door.

Shi Nian went to open the door, surprised to see Mark standing at the entrance.

"Hey, it’s you!" Shi Nian was also pleasantly surprised.

Mark’s blue eyes showed a hint of shyness, "Class just ended and I wasn’t sure how you were settling in, so I checked your registration form at the departnt office to co find you. Is there anything I can help with?"

Shi Nian shook her head with a smile.

Mark pointed to the sa floor, a few doors away, "I live in 515. Our Eastern Studies Departnt mostly resides in this dorm. If you need anything, feel free to call on ."

Seeing that Shi Nian still needed to organize things, he waved goodbye, "Then I’ll head back first. Hey, if you need anything, rember to call ."

Spicy Girl watched with a smile, and after Mark left, laughed out loud, "Hey, just a few hours into school, and you already have two admirers!"

Shi Nian was intensely embarrassed, "Stop joking around. What admirers, and how are there two?"

Spicy Girl picked up her dirty clothes and walked out the door, chuckling, "I don’t believe you haven’t noticed. Mark, and Sean oh."

Mark... uh, okay, that seems kind of plausible. But Sean? That’s too far-fetched.

Spicy Girl shrugged, "What’s the big deal? Let tell you, it’s the first ti I’ve seen him so diligently help a new student, and he calls you ’Chinese Doll.’ You should know that this dorm belongs to the Eastern Studies Departnt; there are many girls from China or East Asia, but he only calls you ’Chinese Doll.’"

Having said this, Spicy Girl laughed loudly while carrying her dirty clothes and left, Shi Nian paused her movents, her elegant brows knitting together.

Mark was fine... but Sean made her feel uncomfortable.

She tried calling Tang Yanqing’s cell phone again, but still couldn’t get through!

What was he doing? Or has this task perhaps already been assigned to soone else?

Or could it be... maybe he’s already forgotten about her, forgotten what he said about protecting her?

.

During dinner, Shi Nian t the other roommates in the suite.

The first person she bumped into was a guy nad "Zhong Kui."

When Shi Nian heard this white boy solemnly announce that na, she nearly spat out her soda.

Zhong Kui was very proud, "This Chinese na is cool, right? Every ti I introduce myself to you Chinese people, I always see expressions like yours."

Shi Nian could only give a thumbs up, "Cool."

Everyone shared a kitchen, ate together, chatted, and had a great ti.

The door suddenly swung open in a huff, and a breathtaking beauty with golden hair walked in angrily, casting a cold glance at everyone before heading straight into her room, shutting the door.

She was so beautiful, the typical Arican teenage beauty type. Blonde hair, blue eyes, tall figure, fiery curves.

Spicy Girl introduced, "Look, the Queen S of our dorm."

Where there’s a "queen," there must naturally be a haughty attitude. This truth holds both in the West and East.

Shi Nian asked quietly, "What happened to her?"

Spicy Girl smirked slightly, "She’s wildly chasing a visiting professor. Afraid she confessed and got rejected again."
