"We were originally an adventure group from the Underworld, with a total of sixteen mbers. Eighty thousand years ago, one day, we received a task to pursue and kill a female of the Ghost Race."
We tracked the woman to the border of the Underworld, where she accidentally stumbled into a rift, and all sixteen of us from our group ended up here."
Aside from the sixteen of us, before the rift closed, a large number of demonic creatures and ghosts from the Underworld also ca through."
The Ghost Race powerhouse gurgled out everything, daring not to hide anything.
"After passing through the rift, we soon realized we had left the bounds of the Underworld, but before we could rejoice, we ca under suppression by these Buddhas."
Speaking of this, the Ghost Race powerhouse seed quite indignant.
"These ants of the Human Race, daring to confront our great Ghost Race! If it weren't because our clan has lived in the desolate Underworld for so long that our talents have degenerated, these ants wouldn't even have the right to stand and speak to us, let alone raise a hand against us."
Seeing the Ghost Race powerhouse becoming more agitated as he spoke, Qinchuan's mind stirred slightly, and the runes on the Blood Chain flashed again, making his face turn miserably pale.
"Ah, it hurts, hurts, hurts!" the old Ghost Race man imdiately grimaced and howled in pain.
"What's so great about the Human Race? Don't you understand? The era of the four Ancient Races has passed, now, whether it's the Divine Wilderness Continent or the Divine Realm, it's the world of the Human Race!"
"You Ghost Race are lucky enough to be clinging to life in the Underworld and leaving a lineage behind. You should know that the other three of the Ancient Four Races have all perished."
Qinchuan sneered at him, speaking sarcastically.
"What? The Divine Race has perished?" The Ghost Race powerhouse suddenly froze, his face showing disbelief.
"Yes, the Divine Race has already been extinct, and now your Ghost Race is the only survivor among the Ancient Four Great Races," Qinchuan nodded and said.
They had been suppressed for so long and were lagging in news; for generations, their only thoughts were on how to slaughter the Divine Race and return to the Upper Realm, but today they received the news that the Divine Race had been extinguished.
This left him in a stupor.
After a long pause, Qinchuan pointed at Ye Shiyi and asked.
"The Ghost Race woman you ntioned chasing, is she related to the bloodline on his body?"
"Yes, this kid has the unique Qi of that despicable person's clan on him," said the old Ghost Race man, still imrsed in the news of the Divine Race's extinction.
"After we sixteen brothers pursued her to this place, that despicable person was the first to escape from this small world, while the sixteen of us got into a great battle with these Buddhas here. In the end, both sides perished together, and now only my last Spiritual Form remains."
At this point, Qinchuan roughly understood the situation.
Eighty thousand years ago, a rift suddenly appeared between the small spiritual mountain world and the Ghost Race's Underworld, and seventeen mbers of the Ghost Race along with a great number of demonic beasts crossed through the rift to this place.
The Buddhas here were caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the Ghost Race powerhouses, thinking that the Ghost Race had broken the Underworld's Barrier. They initiated the Defensive Grand Formation of this world to prevent these demonic beings from escaping from here.
Subsequently, a great battle ensued in this place, Ghost Race powerhouses and many Buddhas fell, leaving only so demonic beasts to multiply here.
As for that person who escaped this place and set up the Blood Demon Formation in the Great Wilderness desert...
At this point, Qinchuan already had his suspicions.
"Seeing as you've been so cooperative, this young master will grant you a quick end."
Qinchuan had already learned what he wanted to know; these people of the Ghost Race were just lackeys from the Underworld, unlikely to know much useful information. There was no need for Qinchuan to waste more ti on him.
"I've said all I can say, please let go..."
At that mont, the elder of the Ghost Race said with fear, begging for rcy.
"It's not that this young master won't spare you, but the great Dao no longer accommodates you. The passage is closed, and you cannot return to the Underworld," Qinchuan said without any more unnecessary words. The Blood Chain binding his soul emitted a dazzling blood light, and the elder's True Spirit instantly exploded.
"Qin benefactor, you..."
Ling Xu stared at Qinchuan, dumbfounded, with too many doubts in his mind.
Whether it was Qinchuan actually recognizing the Qi of the Ancient Ghost Clan or Qinchuan's shockingly powerful soul, both astonished him.
"Please keep this matter a secret, Elder Ling Xu," Qinchuan said without further explanation, smiling as he spoke.
Ling Xu naturally understood what Qinchuan was referring to, about the matter of his powerful soul.
"Of course, Benefactor Qin has resolved a crisis for Buddhism, and for that Ling Xu is grateful," he said.
Qinchuan shook his head and said, "This matter involves the Ghost Race; this young master rely took action as the opportunity arose."
As he said this, he suddenly changed the subject and asked, "By the way, Elder Ling Xu, may I presumptuously ask, were you once a prince before you took your vows?"
"Hmm, how did you co to know of it, Benefactor Qin?" Ling Xu asked with a strange expression. Few people knew of this, and he had never t Qinchuan before and wondered how Qin knew of it.
"Because, typically only princes refer to themselves as 'this prince'," Qinchuan said with a smile.
Qinchuan's words seed nonsensical, leaving Ling Xu perplexed.
But before he could ask for clarification, Qinchuan waved his hand and said, "Let's go. This small Lei Yin Temple has been silent for eighty thousand years; there must be so things left from that ti inside."
Qinchuan looked up toward the top of the small Lei Yin Temple, his gaze thoughtful.
That soul's Qi was precisely above this small Lei Yin Temple.
Because the Buddhas of this world had all perished, and the Demonic Beasts and Ghost Race occupied this realm, the small Lei Yin Temple was filled with countless Ghost Qi.
The once colossal Buddha statues inside had long been suffused with Demonic Qi and were exceedingly dim.
Fortunately, now that the Spiritual Form has returned and the Buddha light shone anew, the small Lei Yin Temple gradually regained its original hues.
The small Lei Yin Temple comprised forty-nine levels in total, and each level was a vast and majestic Suru Space.
Originally, each of these spaces was guarded by a supre Buddha; now although these Buddhas still sat atop the lotus thrones, they had all turned into skeletons.
Ling Xu dispelled the surrounding Ghost Qi, his face looking very grim. These people had once been monks deeply steeped in Buddhist Law, and yet none had escaped.
In no ti, Qinchuan and the others reached the topmost level of the small Lei Yin Temple.
As soon as they entered this space, a terrifying combination of Buddha and ghost Qi enveloped everyone's faces like a sweeping storm.
In the center of this realm, a lotus platform shimring with golden light was placed. Atop the platform, where previously there had been a person, there now rested a Relic emitting a faint glow.
This fist-sized Shariputra floated quietly above the lotus platform, its imnse Buddhist Law emanating from the Relic.
Not far from the platform stood sixteen stalwart mbers of the Ghost Race, proud and unyielding.
The n of the Ghost Race were strong and rugged with grotesque faces, while the won had delicate bodies but were enchantingly beautiful. Despite having died eighty thousand years ago, they still appeared lifelike, even their reluctant expressions before death were clear, their bodies showing no sign of decay.
Truly, they were of an Ancient Race; although their talents had faded into obscurity, their bodies remained immortal.
One of them, in particular, looked exactly like the Ghost Race mber Qinchuan and the others had encountered earlier. It was clearly his main body.
