Shi Hao reacted quickly, imdiately using instantaneous movent to leave, and even rembered to grab the Purple Gold Rat as well.
Whoosh, the black worm missed its attack and promptly ca back for more.
Its speed was still ridiculously fast, even surpassing most Jade Immortals.
Shi Hao again used instantaneous movent, but when he erged from the Little Star Universe, he was shocked to find that the worm had already flown over, almost touching him.
No ti to dodge anymore!
With a thought, Shi Hao opened a black hole in front of him, and the black worm was swallowed instantly.
And then... nothing happened.
It was dead.
Shi Hao was astonished; this creature had crawled out from an Immortal King corpse, and one must know, Shi Hao couldn’t even approach that corpse, as its terrifying aura was enough to tear him apart alive, which indirectly proved the worm’s power.
Moreover, its speed was faster than a Jade Immortal, suggesting that it was likely a quasi-Immortal King level existence.
Yet, when Shi Hao’s black hole opened, it was dead.
Just like that?
Could Shi Hao not be puzzled by such an enormous contrast?
"This is a Corpse-Eating Insect unique to the Forbidden Land," the Purple Gold Rat’s voice tily chid in. "In terms of destructive power, it’s on the level of an Immortal King, because it can even pierce through an Immortal King’s corpse!"
Hmm, an Immortal King’s body is refined by the sixth level of Immortal Rule, and even if a Jade Immortal bombarded it without resistance, they couldn’t harm it in the slightest.
So, being able to pierce through an Immortal King’s corpse – even if it’s just a corpse – is enough to show the terrifying destructive power of these worms.
"However, from a defensive perspective, it’s an ordinary worm; you could easily kill it with a slap," the Purple Gold Rat added.
Isn’t this too contradictory?
Possessing nearly the strongest attack power, yet with the weakest defensive power, why do such extre attributes exist in the sa creature?
What an incredible phenonon.
Shi Hao was still curious when he saw more Corpse-Eating Insects crawling out from the Immortal King corpse’s mouth. It seed killing one of their companions had enraged them, and they were swarming to avenge their fallen friend.
Buzz, countless black worms flew up, swarming towards Shi Hao.
Darn, they’re too fast, and there are too many!
Though the Purple Gold Rat said these worms have weak defenses and are vulnerable, they possess speed surpassing a Jade Immortal, coming from all directions, too quick to defend against.
However, Shi Hao was no ordinary Martial Artist.
Buzz, one black hole after another opened, surrounding Shi Hao.
Instantly, countless worms flew in like moths to a fla, and they couldn’t co back out.
But, even if the black holes were densely packed, could they block all routes?
The answer is no!
At least dozens of worms bypassed the black holes and continued to charge at him.
Given their frightening destructive power, a single hit could easily tear Shi Hao’s body apart, and then... Corpse-Eating Insects don’t just eat dead bodies, they devour the flesh of the living too.
"Hehehe."
Yet Shi Hao’s figure appeared in the distance; after the black holes opened, he had used instantaneous movent to leave his original spot. As long as he stayed within the Little Star Universe range, he could open and maintain black holes anywhere.
Before the worms could react, Shi Hao opened countless black holes again, swallowing all of these Corpse-Eating Insects.
Repeated several tis, the Corpse-Eating Insects that had erged were annihilated.
The Purple Gold Rat praised in awe, "These worms are like nightmares to Jade Immortals, but in your hands, they’re exterminated so quickly."
With the Little Star Universe, Shi Hao had essentially opened a new path, and he hadn’t abandoned his existing cultivation system; the combination of both made him formidable.
Shi Hao looked at the Immortal King corpse, sighing in his heart.
Every Immortal King during their life guarded a Two-Worlds Passage, so they were worthy of absolute respect, and Shi Hao couldn’t bear to let this Immortal King expose his corpse here.
However, he couldn’t even get close right now, so how could he give this senior a proper burial?
Only when he had Immortal King level combat power could he achieve that.
Shi Hao etched the matter in his heart, then bypassed the Immortal King corpse and continued forward.
Several days later, Shi Hao was back on track.
He initially thought he could find the Selfless Immortal Venerable’s corpse within a month or two, but these constant detours made the ti far exceed expectations.
A few more days passed, and Shi Hao stopped to rest; a recent danger he encountered involved a foul-slling vine trying to entangle him. During the fight, its leaves could blot out the sky, with power beyond imagination.
Fortunately, he had instantaneous movent, and the Purple Gold Rat helped by setting up a temporary formation, stalling the vine and giving him a chance to escape.
The dangers of the Forbidden Land were truly everywhere.
"What was that thing?" Shi Hao asked.
"The Heavenly Ancient Vine," the Purple Gold Rat replied. "Originally a harmonious celestial plant, but it’s been tainted in this place, turning bloodthirsty."
Could this creature possibly be from ancient tis?
Eh?
Shi Hao wanted to banter with the Purple Gold Rat a bit for more information, but he suddenly noticed a being rapidly approaching.
He stood up, gazing into the distance.
Sure enough, a person was flying towards him, very fast, but evidently in extre distress.
He was also being chased by the Heavenly Ancient Vine.
Upon reaching there, he was out of its attack range, slowing down his pace, looking over at Shi Hao.
He seed slightly surprised to encounter another human here.
The word ’Forbidden Land’ typically made it a place where living beings dared not tread.
Shi Hao was also observing him. The man appeared about twenty-four or twenty-five, though that probably wasn’t his true age, he was indeed very young, likely not more than five hundred years old.
A Golden Immortal, at least the Nine Stars level, because after Breaking the Extre, it resembles the Nine Stars cultivation level. And to dare venture here, Shi Hao believed he had already surpassed the limit.
"I never expected to see another human here!" the young man said casually. "My na is An Xuan, who are you?"
He reported his na, modest at first glance, but his tone was extrely proud, exuding a commanding aura.
Shi Hao smiled slightly, "My na is Shi Hao."
"Shi Hao?" An Xuan muttered a few tis, a puzzled look on his face.
Never heard of him!
Then he looked enlightened, "You must be under so Immortal King’s tutelage!"
Why did those words exude a sense of superiority?
As if in his eyes, an Immortal King wasn’t the ruler of a domain, but an ordinary underling he could command freely.
Huh!
Shi Hao’s heart suddenly shuddered; there truly was an existence that could see Immortal Kings as nothing.
Immortal Venerable!
