Chapter 8: Old Master Nan

You can be proud and arrogant.

Because there was Nan Family backing you up.

Nan Hua knew very well that the Nan Family was one of the most powerful family in the entire Green Planet with countless forces under them. At this point of ti, Old Master Nan is the current head but the one who had been working on the frontline so far is her father.

After all, Old Master Nan is already old and it was ti for him to hand over the work to his descendants who will be the next head.

As the young miss of Nan Family, if Nan Hua had been raised in this family ever since she was young, how could she not be arrogant? She had her entire family backing her and no matter what she did, they would be the one backing her up and supported her.

The young miss of Nan Family will be pampered and loved by many people. A lot of people would be trying their best to get in the eyes of this young miss, hoping to the be the son in law of the powerful Nan Family.

But the problem was that Nan Hua was not raised in this family.

Their relationship with each other was not close at all, making it impossible for Nan Hua to beco a confident young miss all of the sudden.

Besides, Nan Hua felt that this character personality set that was given to her was the easiest to maintain. There was also need for her to be a full fledge actor for 24 hours a day just to make sure that she didn’t break her character.

"I know," Nan Hua replied in a low voice.

I know.

Not I understand.

Old Master Nan pursed his lips and felt that this granddaughter of his was courageous enough to play with words in front of him.

"Now, let’s talk about your exam."

Nan Hua pursed her lips and looked at Old Master Nan in front of her, not knowing what he wanted to say to her.

"I don’t know why your mother is adamant on having you enter the military academy, but you don’t look like you can handle staying there. If you keep on failing your exams, you won’t be able to graduate in a year and half ti."

Nan Hua’s birthday was in January and she was still in the second year. It was New Year a few weeks ago and today is 28th January. The makeup exams were done just a few days ago and the fake Nan Hua’s result was not ideal.

Those who entered military academy will beco soldiers in the future and their position also depended on how they perform in the military academy. Even though Nan Hua was technically in High School, the high school she entered was an affiliated high school of military academy.

Graduating from this high school ant that she would enter the military academy.

After that, she would be a soldier.

But from the result of her training so far, Old Master Nan knew that Nan Hua might not be suitable to beco a soldier. Anyway, his first grandson would beco the successor, so it was not necessary for Nan Hua to enter the military.

"I’ll stay in the military school, Grandfather," Nan Hua replied unhurriedly.

"Can you promise

that you’ll pass the exams?" Old Master Nan looked at Nan Hua calmly. In his opinion, it would be impossible for Nan Hua’s grades to improve anyti soon.

If Nan Hua were to show her real ability, it was naturally possible for her to change from a scum in learning to master in the matter of seconds. But the problem was that she would destroy the character built that was prepared for her in this family.

Nan Hua pursed her lips after hearing Old Master Nan’s question.

Old Master Nan looked at Nan Hua’s expression and sighed deeply. "You can train more in the Virtual World. I’ll ask so of my friends to bring you when they have ti."

Virtual World.

With the advancent of technology, there were many new things in the world. One of them was the Virtual World, the world where they could do many things inside. One of the few things was naturally also training. Because everything that happened in the virtual world would be connected to them, practice was also very useful there.

They could gain more experience and there was no need to fear of death because they couldn’t die for real in the Virtual World. But of course, the training they did there still had to be adjusted when they returned to the real world because there was a gap between real battles and the virtual world.

When Nan Hua was in the organization and hadn’t gone out to accept missions, she had also trained in the Virtual World for a period of ti.

The fake Nan Hua used a lot of ti to practice in the virtual world, but the result so far was not very ideal. After all, battles also required talent aside from hard work and many others. Blindly going forward wouldn’t do them any good.

"Yes, Grandfather."

Old Master Nan looked at Nan Hua as he thought of sothing and suddenly asked, "Have you seen Qian Xing?"

Qian Xing?

"Long Qian Xing?" Nan Hua asked carefully.

"Yes. He’s a good student in the military academy." Old Master Nan rubbed his chin. "I’ll ask him to bring you in the Virtual World."

Nan Hua blinked her eyes.

She felt that Old Master Nan’s words were a bit strange, but she couldn’t pinpoint what it was that made her feel strange.

"Would that be appropriate, Grandfather?"

"What’s not appropriate? That little b*stard wouldn’t dare to reject , so you don’t have to worry about that." Old Master Nan snorted.

Nan Hua was speechless.

That was not what she ant.

"I an, I’m not..."

"You can interact more with him in the Virtual World later to get to know him." Old Master Nan looked at Nan Hua and narrowed his eyes but there was a playful glint inside.

Nan Hua was now sure that there had to be sothing that Old Master Nan didn’t tell her about the Long Family. But she also wouldn’t ask it straightaway and destroyed the image that was built from the previous fake one.

"I know, Grandfather."

"Good. If he mistreats you or sothing, you have to report to . I’ll personally break his legs."

Nan Hua: "..."

She was sure that if Old Master Nan make a move against Long Qian Xing, the Long Family would be willing to wage a war between the two of them.

As the most talented grandson and also the future heir, Long Qian Xing’s safety was naturally the top priority for them.

Old Master Nan looked at Nan Hua and nodded. "Your cousin will co in the afternoon. Go and accompany her to shop and familiarize yourself with the city again."

"Yes, Grandfather."

Among the younger generation who were closer to each other, there was only one girl aside from nan Hua. Knowing that young girls usually have more topics to talk about with their peers, when Nan Hua was staying at ho, she would be asked to spend more ti with her cousin.

"Tomorrow, your father will be back."

Father?

Nan Hua’s eyes widened, showing surprise. "Father is going to co back?"

"Yes. His mission is finally done." Old Master Nan nodded with a smile. "Don’t worry, he’s easy to get along with and you will definitely like him."

Hearing Old Master Nan’s easy going words, Nan Hua felt that Old Master Nan was not exactly a stern grandfather. Unlike her mother who cared about her face so much, Old Master Nan didn’t care so much and always did whatever he wanted.

It was to the point that many people have headache when they were dealing with Old Master Nan.

"He’s not very demanding like your mother." Old Master Nan laughed. "So you might feel more at ease with him."

Nan Hua looked at Old Master Nan and blinked her eyes.

She felt that the Nan Family was quite interesting.

"Go and change your clothes. That little lass Nan Xian Xie will arrive here soon."

Nan Hua acknowledged and went to her room.

Xian was the first na of the younger generation of Old Master Nan’s grandchildren. However, she was the only one who was not given this first na for so reasons when she was young.

Thus, her na was quite unique.

Old Master Nan watched Nan Hua left and rubbed his chin. He had t Nan Hua during the New Year. At that ti, she lowered her head more, which made others unable to see her expression clearly.

When he first saw her, he felt that she was not like the mbers of Nan Family because of her shy and timid attitude. But no matter what outsiders said, he would not allow the descendant of Nan Family to stay outside. She will stay in the Nan Family.

They could afford raising another mouth.

It was not a big problem.

But when Nan Hua raised her head more to look at him, he felt an odd sense of familiarity and happiness. He knew that this was the reaction he felt when he was facing his children and grandchildren who were related by blood, but he didn’t expect that even after a long ti separation, he would still feel this connection in his long missing granddaughter.

It was just a bit strange that this only happened now and not when they first t.

’Forget it, I might be too sensitive.’

Old Master Nan stood up and walked to his chair. There were a stack of docunts containing Nan Hua’s experience that his second son had compiled during this ti.

Everything was triple checked to make sure nothing was missing.

"Check the hospital surveillance." Old Master Nan’s eyes showed a glint. "Whoever dare to target my granddaughter had to pay the price."

"Old Master, Young Master Long is also at the scene." Soone who couldn’t be seen in the room replied.

Old Master Nan snorted. "No matter who’s the real target, since they dared to harm my granddaughter, why shouldn’t I teach them a lesson?"

That person didn’t answer and simply left to do this mission.

Old Master Nan closed his eyes and rested on the chair. He felt very tired. Even after he was already at advance age, there were still many things that he needed to do.
