Chapter 524: Reason for Refusal
A man’s cha is their wife.
It was a famous saying that who knows how many people had said. Just like how these n loved their cars so much, those who had cha also cared for their cha so much. The attention could even made every won in the world jealous.
Because these n would never be able to give the sa treatnt to others.
And the most important thing is that they would never let outsiders to get close to their cha in the slightest bit aside from the chanics. After all, even if they were great at controlling cha, not everyone was an expert at repairing.
They had to hand the cha over to those who were also experts in repairing cha and made sure their ’beloved’ could operate well.
But aside from them, they would never let others get too close.
Not even their friends.
The one who could get the closest would only be their other half, their wife or husband if the cha belonged to a woman.
There were also won cha’s operator even if the number was not much. Due to the limitation of physical strength, not many won could reach the standard, thus reducing the chance for them to beco a cha operator or even soldiers.
At this ti, Nan Hua stood still.
She was looking at the large and majestic cha in front of her. The cha was black and dark blue in color. The tallic luster showed off the brilliance as Long Qian Xing lit up the lamps in the hangar. The cha itself was shaped like human but the tallic joints were visible, giving a sense of beauty and power.
Even though Nan Hua didn’t really understand much about aesthetic, but she knew that this cha looked very good.
"This is Xing’er," Long Qian Xing introduced the cha to Nan Hua. "I nad her after myself because I wish she can stay with
and continue to protect
as I roam on the sea of stars in the future."
"She’s a good cha," Nan Hua replied.
Long Qian Xing smiled with a chuckle. "Co on, I’ll show you the inside."
Nan Hua didn’t move.
Long Qian Xing stopped after two steps and turned back to look at Nan Hua. He showed a bitter smile. "You’re not going to accept it."
"Your future wife wouldn’t be happy if she knows that you showed your cha to another woman," Nan Hua replied.
Even if the rules regarding cha was not really discussed widely, but it was already a tacit understanding for many of them. Those who could enter should only be the cha’s owner wife.
Unless there were ergency where they had to carry their injured comrades on the battlefield or sothing like that, no one would break this rule.
"You’re my future wife," Long Qian Xing replied calmly. His eyes were staring straight at Nan Hua. But even though his posture looked calm, his slightly trembling fingers were showing his real feelings, at how nervous he was right now.
"No, I’m not." Nan Hua shook her head. "I can’t be with you, Senior Long. Not now, not ever."
"Why?"
Why?
’Because I’m a person who might not even be able to survive tomorrow if the organization decided that it’s ti for
to die.’
Nan Hua didn’t say it out loud, but her mind was saying it very clearly. She had known very well ever since she was young that she was a person with no future. And the organization made sure that she understand it extrely well.
To the point that her every cell rembered it.
She was nothing more than a tool and the so called hope for the future outside the organization was nothing more than a pipe dream.
No matter how much they struggled, how much they fought, how much they longed for it, none of it could be realized.
What they had been given has always been utter despair.
Forced again and again to their own ends.
How many mbers of the organization eventually ended their own life? Part of them had long already given up on their own life, the life where they were forced to do things they didn’t want but still struggle to do it for the sake of their life.
And in the end, it was all for naught.
How many of them questioned their sense of existence? Crying through the night inside their mind but had to force themselves to stay calm and had to put on the sa poker face as they went through their days.
Day by day.
Week by week.
Months by month.
Year by years.
And even decades by decades.
Those who could survive for so long either had long accepted their fate or just wanted to fulfill their own twisted dream from within the organization.
But no matter what they did, they could never get away from it.
Nan Hua was no exception.
She knew her ti was running out. Her usefulness for the organization, their plan, and everything... she didn’t have much ti.
And Long Qian Xing is the target of the organization.
Nan Hua knew it very well.
His na was hanging at the very top of the list among the younger generation whom the organization wished to die.
If she got close to him, instead of happiness, she would only bring him pain.
Because she was not allowed to have feelings.
With him being the target of organization, how could it be possible for the organization to miss the chance of killing him? As long as he put down his guard around her, wouldn’t she be the perfect tool for them to kill him?
Nan Hua doesn’t want it.
She had killed so many people in her journey up to now and she didn’t really want to increase the count.
Even if she used not to care about the people she killed, but this ti, she didn’t want to.
She didn’t want to be forced to kill him.
