Author’s Note: AB0 blood type system
The blood type in AB0 system is based on the antigen A and antigen B plus antibodies A and antibodies B, which was usually called as immunoglobulin M (IgM). The phenotype was usually only A, B, AB, and 0. On the other hand, the genotype is based IA, IB, I and each genotype consist of a pair.
It might be a bit complicated to understand for those who didn’t study biology or had already returned their knowledge to the teachers, so I’ll explain it simply below:
A person with the blood type A can have the genotype IAIA or IAI
A person with the blood type B can have the genotype IBIB or IBI
A person with the blood type AB have the genotype IAIB
A person with the blood type 0 have the genotype II
For more complete and extensive knowledge, you can search for yourself. This is just the simple one to explain how a parents can have different blood type with their children with so exception.
For example, a parent with blood type AB can’t produce children with blood type 0 and vice versa.
