Chapter 296: [Bonus Chapter]Report
Nan Hai Lan nodded. "I know what to do, Brother."
"Ok." Old Master Nan nodded in satisfaction. The two brothers have good relationship, but their marriage’s fate was indeed a bit...
*sigh*
He couldn’t really say anything about this matter. While Nan Hai Yan got married after being suggested by his wife, Nan Hai Lan truly fell in love with Ruan San Yu. Even if he was not very happy, he still could accept it.
"Hai Lan, you can go first. I still need to talk with your older brother."
"Yes, Father."
Nan Hai Lan obediently walked out of the study room and closed the room carefully. The study room was naturally sound proofed so that whatever was talked inside wouldn’t leak out.
Nan Hai Yan looked at his father and then said, "We found a dead planet."
Dead planet.
This term was not used for those inhabitable planets but rather a planet that had creatures living but for so reason, no one was alive anymore. The reason could be because of the nature, outside intervention, or many other things.
But whatever it is, once this kind of thing was found, they had to be inford.
Old Master Nan frowned. "Did you report to the association?"
"It has been reported and investigation is ongoing." Nan Hai Yan paused for a mont. "Btu the source of the information is a bit strange."
"Yes?"
"That missing chip... the code inside is directing to two completely different coordinates and this planet is one of them," Nan Hai Yan said slowly. "They’ve been asking to have Father be the one in charge, but you didn’t answer."
Old Master Nan looked at his light brain.
No wonder that those old foggies has been asking him to return to the military. Unfortunately, his dical condition really didn’t allow him to participate in rigorous activities, so he had to decline.
He snorted at Nan Hai Yan. "Now that you told
this, do you want
to participate."
Nan Hai Yan nodded. "I need your advice, Father."
Even if he had been a star general and in the army for a long period of ti, this is the first ti he saw such brutality. The way these people died in that planet... it was terrifying and ordinary person wouldn’t be able to accept it at all.
Not to ntion, based on their investigation, these people had died for at least two years.
Two years without any news and yet no one knew about it.
But thinking about it from another perspective, this was a remote planet without much connection nor influence. Aside from the few that cooperated together finding out that this planet couldn’t be contacted, the others didn’t know and didn’t care in the slightest bit.
It was sothing that happened far away in the galaxy.
What is the relationship with their planets?
With such ntality, these people didn’t seem to care in the slightest bit about what had happened to these remote planets.
The problem is...
Their Green Planet is also considered a remote planet for most of the other planets and if sothing happened to them, it was hard to say that they would be willing to co to help.
Old Master Nan took a deep breath. "Is it near us?"
"Not too far, still within the sa galaxy but separated with several star system," Nan Hai Yan replied.
If it was not far, they might be affected with whatever happened there.
"Have you found out the reason why the planet is dead?"
"Yes, biochemical contamination," Nan Hai Yan replied.
"In that case, whoever did it had to be either still in the planet because of the contamination and died..." Old Master Nan paused for a mont and then said, "Or he had already left before the incident. What kind of biochemical?"
"The specific is still being analyzed, but it should involve radiation and so other dangerous heavy tals." Nan Hai Yan followed the report with his friend, Star General Long. When they saw the situation, they felt cold in their blood.
No matter how advance the human had beco, it was impossible for them to beco superhuman. There were still many materials that were poisonous for human beings including heavy tals, radiation, and so herbs.
Their immunity had increased over ti, but it could not erase the fact that human’s body was actually very fragile.
"Check the hospital for any cases related to these." Old Master Nan was thinking hard. "The dicine to solve the heavy tal poisoning is limited in quantity and had to be purchased through certain channels. If the person who killed these people mishandled these materials, they would have to go to the hospital.
In this way, it was traceable.
But they could only check the hospitals and pharmacy in Green Planet and no other planets.
It would be very limited.
But at the very least, it would be a start.
"This matter didn’t only involve Green Planet, so you need to communicate with other nearby planets." Old Master Nan sighed.
There were several habitable planets in this galaxy where Green Planet was located. The communication between planets so far has been done pretty good, but the relationship was not very close.
With such a far distance, it would be weird if their relationship was good.
"I’ll make the arrangent." Nan Hai Yan nodded. He’s already a star general, so naturally he had this authority. But thinking about the situation of the planet might be in danger, he felt tense.
Ordinary people would never know what happened at the large scale and these silent confrontations between the higher ups.
But those people at the top experienced various matters every single day.
It was very tiring.
"Good. Also, spend more ti with your daughter. You only have a day’s leave and there might be no other chance for you to spend more ti with them." Old Master Nan raised his head to look at his son. "You’re not only a soldier but also a father. Don’t make the sa mistake as ."
