Chapter 293: Family Gathering
Nan Family is a big family.
Old Master Nan himself has several sibling and cousins who lived in various cities and still maintained contact. However, the head of Nan Family is still Old Master Nan and the others sohow listened to him.
Perhaps, it was because of the tradition that had been passed from a long ti ago.
There will be one family head and this person would have the highest voice in the entire Nan Family even if the other people were far away. Because they all enjoyed the benefit from being under the sa banner nad Nan Family.
This ti, the one who ca were not everyone but only Old Master Nan’s descendants.
His two sons: Nan Hai Yan and Nan Hai Lan were here.
Nan Hai Yan’s wife, Lin i Yu, also ca back for the sake of the family gathering. Even if the relationship between the husband and wife was still strained, they maintained the face in front of their relatives.
Nan Hai Lan’s wife’s na is Ruan San Yu. Ruan Family is not a very big family, but they were said to be a scholarly family.
Nan Xian Xie and Nan Xian Mu were also here and stood up when they saw the people who ca inside.
"Everyone is here." Old Master Nan nodded when he saw everyone had arrived.
Nan Hai Yan nodded indifferently. He looked at his daughter but thinking that there were a lot of people here, he didn’t speak with his daughter directly. It wouldn’t be good if he made her feel uncomfortable.
But at the sa ti, he felt at loss about what to talk to his daughter.
"Father," Nan Hua and Nan Xian Mu greeted at the sa ti. They both looked at Lin i Yu and hesitated whether to greet or not and in the end, they looked at the other two and called out, "Uncle, Aunt."
The movent of the two were synchronized. If one didn’t know better, they might think that these two were twins who had already rehearsed their reactions in advance.
"Hua’er, Xian Mu." Nan Hai Yan nodded at his two children. He thought about his first son who was still out there and sighed deeply. His son was still who knows where and that damn brat didn’t know when he will return.
"Father, Mother," Nan Xian Tang greeted behind them. He then looked at Nan Hai Yan and greeted, "Uncle."
"Hey, you are all here." Nan Hai Lan smiled kindly. He had similar appearance with his older brother, Nan Hai Yan, but he looked much kinder. Compared to Nan Hai Yan who looked very cold, he looked much more amiable.
If people were to look at the faces of these two brothers, they would definitely say that Nan Hai Lan looked like he was easier to get along with.
"You’re finally back." Nan Hai Lan’s wife, Ruan San Yu, also smiled kindly to her son and the other two nephew and niece who ca today.
No matter what, she still had to keep up the appearance in front of others.
"Brother," Nan Xian Xie quickly stepped forward and wanted to hug Nan Xian Tang’s arm, but the latter avoided it.
"You’re not a child anymore," Nan Xian Tang said curtly and walked inside indifferently.
Nan Xian Xie saw her twin brother’s reaction and felt unhappy. She didn’t know why but her twin brother never liked her. Whenever they t each other, he would always give her a cold and indifferent face.
When they were young, he would follow her words and listened to her well.
It just gradually changed and Nan Xian Tang beco more and more alienated from Nan Xian Xie.
There didn’t seem to be anything she could do to restore their relationship.
"When did you return, Hai Yan?" Old Master Nan asked. The last ti he called, Nan Hai Yan was still in so confidential mission and couldn’t be called back. He also knew that the military matters were urgent, so he didn’t pester his son to go back.
Now that he saw Nan Hai Yan standing in front of him safely, he felt happy and relieved.
"This morning. I took a leave for a day." Nan Hai Yan smiled bitterly. It was not that easy to leave when they were in the middle of the mission. But he wanted to see his daughter and son after not seeing her for a long ti.
Alright, it was mostly to see his daughter.
The son is just a bonus.
Nan Xian Mu who was despised: "..."
If he knew that his father didn’t want to see him that much, he would have doubted whether he was picked up or really born from his father.
"I see." Old Master Nan nodded.
If Nan Hai Yan took a leave, it ant that he would have to return to finish the mission again later. Even if Old Master Nan wished for Nan Hai Yan to spend more ti with his family, the situation didn’t allow it.
He also wouldn’t ask Nan Hai Yan to beco selfish and used his vacation unreasonably.
"Co inside, wash your hands first and then we’ll eat together."
"Yes, Grandpa."
The children headed to the bathroom to wash their hands one by one.
Old Master Nan walked to his seat and Doctor Qing ca forward to check Old Master Nan’s condition. Honestly, Doctor Qing disagreed when he heard that Old Master Nan wanted to pick his grandchildren from the military academy.
But Old Master Nan is very stubborn.
In the end, Doctor Qing could only do examination to make sure that Old Master Nan is fine before allowing him to go.
Thankfully, nothing happened.
Old Master Nan is also very healthy.
"It’s been a while since everyone gather together." Old Master Nan smiled after the children returned from the bathroom. "After eating, we’ll have discussion with each other."

Nan Hua’s eyes flickered while the others nodded their head.
Clearly, this was not sothing uncommon.
