Drake originally thought that when Blackshade ntioned having so equipnt, it would at most be a dozen pieces.

But when the screenshot arrived, the inventory was packed to the brim. A rough estimate showed at least seventy to eighty items.

Drake was speechless for a mont.

Could "so" really be the right word for this amount?

And also, what kind of bag was this? How could it hold so much?

Didn't everyone start with a ten-slot inventory?

Drake fell into deep thought.

Beside him, his assassin teammate curiously asked, "Drake, what's with that expression? Did Blackshade not like the Blink skill?"

Sophie shook her head. "Impossible. Movent skills are essential for all players, and Blackshade is no exception. Plus, he prefers to solo bosses, so he needs a mobility skill even more to dodge and reposition. I suspect there's another reason."

Drake snapped out of it and nodded in appreciation. "Sophie, you really get ."

Then he added, "Blackshade said he's very satisfied with Blink. He's even counting it as worth two skill books."

The archer gave a thumbs-up. "As expected of my ultimate rival—so generous!"

The assassin sneered and shot a sideways glance. "You? His rival? Man, you're dreaming."

The archer's mouth twitched in rage. "You better not log off later! I swear I'm gonna hunt you down!"

Drake waved his hand to cut their bickering short and continued, "Blackshade also has so equipnt he wants to sell to ."

The assassin imdiately asked, "Any gear for ?"

Drake hesitated. He hadn't actually checked.

The assassin imdiately wailed, throwing himself on the ground. "Drake! You heartless bastard! After all these years of friendship, you've already forgotten ?!"

The archer seized the mont to rub it in. "Hah! Blackshade's an assassin. Like hell he'd have any extra gear for you. Hey, Drake, did he say anything about archer equipnt?"

Drake remained silent.

The archer and assassin clung to each other and sobbed dramatically.

It was over. They had fallen out of favor.

Drake sighed and sent a quick ssage to Tristan: "Uh… do you have any assassin or archer gear?"

This reminded Tristan—he did have two daggers he had swapped out: the Level 5 Rabbit Fang Dagger and the Level 10 Bloodletting Blade.

He had planned to put them up in his shop, but since Drake asked, he might as well sell them directly. He replied, "No archer gear, but I have two daggers for assassins."

He sent over the stats.

Drake looked at the weapons and sighed enviously.

Lucky bastard.

Why couldn't Blackshade be a warrior?

The assassin, rubbing his hands excitedly, asked, "Good news, right?"

Drake posted the weapon stats in the party chat. The assassin imdiately cackled, "Man, it was a genius move picking the assassin class. Even just using Blackshade's hand--downs is gonna make unstoppable!"

Then he added, "Since I use the sa gear as Blackshade, that basically makes Blackshade. Which ans we're totally on equal footing."

"…"

The entire team gave him a thumbs-up.

This guy was truly a genius.

Once they had finished joking, Drake sent another ssage: "Would it be a hassle for you to travel from the main city to the newbie village?"

After all, the skill book wasn't in his hands—it was with his vice leader in a different newbie village.

Drake felt a little bad making Blackshade go through all this trouble.

But Tristan didn't mind at all.

Teleportation cost money, but compared to the value of the Blink skill book, it was negligible.

More importantly, if he waited for Drake and his team to hit Level 10 and travel to the main city, it would take another day or two—too long.

After confirming the skill book's location, Tristan imdiately left the goblin nest.

In the end, he never found the Goblin Leader's hidden treasure.

That guy really did stash it sowhere else.

A crafty goblin, indeed.

But with his inventory filled with loot, Tristan had already made a hefty profit.

His plan was to first return to Davi City and report back to Horreo, then teleport to Newbie Village #10855 to collect the skill book, and finally teleport to Newbie Village #9527 to sell his gear to Drake.

This would give Drake enough ti to gather so gold.

By the ti he returned to Davi City, everything had returned to normal.

The earlier commotion in the black market hadn't spread, and the city's NPCs were no longer paying attention.

After all, in their minds, the black market was always blowing up every few days.

As long as it didn't endanger Davi City, they really didn't care.

Even the city lord wasn't making a fuss—what did their opinions matter?

Tristan went straight to the northern administrative district, flashed Horreo's insignia, and was let through without issue.

A guard escorted him to where Horreo was training new recruits.

Horreo glanced at him and assud, "Couldn't find those goblins? Don't worry about it. My n searched for days and barely made any progress."

Tristan pulled out the Goblin Leader's head along with its boorang weapon and said, "Mission accomplished. The nest has been destroyed."

"…"

Horreo was stunned.

Sure, he knew this outsider was capable.

After all, he had passed Edith's test and even killed Gold Hook Jack.

But to track down and wipe out the entire goblin nest in such a short ti?

That made him look kinda slow in comparison.

Thankfully, Horreo wasn't the petty type. He quickly recovered and gave Tristan a firm nod. "Good. Well done."

He called over an officer and handed Tristan a small pouch of coins. "Here, this is your bounty."

[Ding! Quest Complete! Earned 5000 EXP, 50 Silver Coins, 10 Horreo Reputation.]

[Ding! Decision Quest Complete! Earned 10 Horreo Reputation.]

Horreo then asked about the battle.

When Tristan ntioned the military-grade repeating crossbows, Horreo's expression grew solemn.

After a mont of thought, Horreo said, "Keep this under wraps for now. I'll send my n to investigate."

Tristan nodded. "Understood, sir."

Horreo continued, "Once we have more information, I'll contact you again."

Tristan smirked internally.

Quest secured. Easy money.

After discussing a few more details, Tristan excused himself.

Now, it was ti to hit the newbie village.

At the city center teleportation circle, Tristan stepped onto the platform.

"Teleporting to Newbie Village #10855 will cost 50 Silver Coins. Proceed?"

"Yes!"

A flash of light enveloped him, and in the next mont, Tristan disappeared.

As his vision returned, a group of players wearing IFA guild tags approached him.

"Are you Blackshade?"

The one in the lead was [IFA·RagingTiger]—the vice leader of IFA and the one who secured the Blink skill book.

This was the guy.

Tristan revealed his ID to confirm his identity. RagingTiger imdiately initiated a trade and placed the Blink skill book on the exchange window.

Once the trade was complete, RagingTiger hesitated before gathering his courage to ask, "Could I add you as a friend? Don't worry—I won't disturb you."

Tristan didn't refuse.

He had a feeling this guy might bring him more pleasant surprises in the future.
