After Jing Xue vented her grievances, the both of them stopped talking for a very long ti as though they were imrsed in the quiet and tranquilness of the night.

He didn't know what to say to her except a thank you. He didn't want to pity nor did she want him to feel guilty for what she did for him. Despite lacking in emotional growth, Ren Ye understood what it ant to sacrifice one's life for another.
This caused Ren Ye's heart to be extrely touched and even more, smitten with her.

He was rather speechless for whatever she did for him.
He could envision the pain she was in when he died on the pillar, she was one of his closest companions in besidesst beside his sworn brother.
He realized he had left her in the dark for many years and it may be ti for him to start ing back for her kindness.

Ren Ye suddenly raised his eyebrow as he looked at her with interest, he rubbed his hands against each other nervously.

Rein Lang was the man who had killed Ren Ye in the past, his codena was San Er. Ren Ye addressed him as Second Brother in the past and San Er was Ren Ye's closest companion.
"He tried to kill back in France, thankfully my cousin protected before he could co close to ," Jing Xue chuckled bitterly with a nostalgic face, Ren Ye's face was replaced with a shocked expression.

Jing Xue didn't speak as she lowered her eyes calmly, clenching her fists tightly before loosening. She pursed her lips and seed to be conflicted as she suddenly raised her head and Ren Ye saw her slightly emotional eyes.

Ever since coming to this life, she had these worries for many days and often felt she would bring trouble to him if he was to ever be with her. It was aif lmost as there was a pattern pulling her away from Ren Ye.
Ren Ye slightly nudged her and looked at her with gentle eyes, Jing Xue felt rather emotional.

She suddenly raised both of her hands and sniffled, her emotions went out of control in front of Ren Ye.
Ren Ye was understanding and knew she wanted to protect him but Ren Ye didn't fear them. He only wanted to live up to Jing Xue's expectation of him and hopefully get to live the life they didn't get to live in the past.
"I don't want you to be in danger because you want to please my parents," Jing Xue sobbed quietly, she suddenly wrapped his hands around hers and she raised them to press against her cheek.
"I am not doing it for them, I am doing it for you. I am sorry I didn't get to do what youcted from. As a lover, I have failed miserably," Ren Ye replied with a peaceful expression.
He suddenly curled his lips into a smile, "Ren Jia will get to live a safe life we had wanted her to in the past and I will promise to be a lover and husband to you."
Jing Xue extended her arms and wrapped him around her, she pressed her moist lips against his as Ren Ye reprocriated her kiss with the sa energy she had.
