The ancient, shining tower was surrounded by mysterious Dao Runes.

Around it was a sparkling silver river, and upon further observation, every point of light in that silver river was a Dao armant.

This scene was rather familiar, and as Tang Jie thought about it, he suddenly realized what it recalled.

Wasn't this the Lustrous Treasure River he had seen while comprehending the Dao and connecting to the Heavenly Dao Law Wheel?

No, wait!

This was not the Lustrous Treasure River, for while this river had many treasures covered in Dao Runes, Tang Jie had never seen a single one before.

These were completely different from the Dao armants one would have found in the Lustrous Treasure River.

The Dao armants of the Lustrous Treasure River could take on many forms, from lanterns and banners to pagodas and forks, but there were actually few in the form of sabers, spears, and the like. Moreover, they were primarily made of tal, jade, or silk.

But these Dao armants were almost all weapons, with every kind Tang Jie could think of to be found among them, and they were primarily made of bone and stone. They might have both flashed with Dao Runes, but the mysteries within them were different from those that Tang Jie knew.

But anyone who had comprehended the Dao would always be able to sense Dao armants to a certain extent.

Tang Jie may have lost his Dao body and been rendered unable to use any Dao Arts, but he still retained his basic understanding. Yet when he looked at these Dao armants, he couldn't understand a single one of them.

This was a big shock to Tang Jie.

What was going on here?

Despite his questions, Tang Jie continued forward.

The tower seed close, but Tang Jie ended up flying for ten-so days before he finally approached that river of stars.

This river of stars was so broad that each Dao armant was separated by thousands of miles, each one as big as a mountain.

When Tang Jie went up to a stone hamr, the Dao Runes on the hamr lit up, and countless lifeforms appeared on that mountain-sized Dao armant. These lifeforms had the shapes of humans, but their skin was dark gold, and they ranged from thirty feet to as much as eighty feet tall. They had fangs protruding from their mouths, with bestial appearances.

The mont they appeared, they howled at Tang Jie and rushed at him.

Tang Jie hadn't expected there to be life living on a Dao armant, ones that he had never seen before, so he grew curious about them and sent a gale to sweep them up.

He might have only had the power of Violet Palace at this mont, but that was still more than enough to deal with these strange creatures, and they all died on contact with that gale.

The remaining creatures were unafraid, continuing to charge at Tang Jie as if he was their mortal enemy.

Tang Jie decided to simply send down a rain of blades, finally bringing peace to the world.

To his shock, when these creatures died, a strange energy flowed out of them into Tang Jie's body, and his strength increased by quite a bit, as if he had consud so divine dicine.

It had to be understood that, as a Gold Immortal, every little increase in strength required a massive amount of resources. In truth, ever since attaining Boundless, he had yet to feel "quite a bit" stronger from cultivation.

From the perspective of a Gold Immortal, "quite a bit" represented an ocean of resources.

Yet these creatures possessed such terrifying amounts of energy, and it could be absorbed?

Tang Jie was stunned.

This was basically killing monsters to level up!

Tang Jie had dread about such a thing before, how refreshing it would be to simply kill fiends to grow stronger.

But dreams were just that. In this cultivator world, it simply wasn't realistic.

To his surprise, after reaching the peak of his life, his dream had suddenly co true.

And to such a great extent, with such simple execution!

How could this be?

Tang Jie couldn't believe it.

Was it these creatures that were special? Or this place that was special?

For now, Tang Jie didn't know, but he really had felt himself grow stronger.

Alas, no new creatures appeared, so Tang Jie decided to try and pick up the hamr.

It was rather heavy.

It had to be understood that he was a body cultivator, possessing imnse strength. If even he felt it was heavy, those law cultivators who had co before would never be able to use it normally.

The Dao Runes on the hamr were also completely baffling to Tang Jie. He couldn't comprehend them even when they were right in front of him, let alone use them.

Tang Jie spent half a day fruitlessly researching it, after which he decided to try the Weapon Mantra. Regrettably, that didn't work either, so he could only leave. He just left the hamr there, as it was far too big to carry around.

A few days later, he reached a massive bone club.

It was better to call this the leg bone of so giant beast rather than a weapon. But this club was a hundred thousand feet long, and was there really a beast with legs that long? Tang Jie suddenly recalled the World Eater. Could this leg bone have co from a World Eater?

The leg bone also had many Dao Runes, all of them incomprehensible.

And when Tang Jie tried to take it, another horde of strange creatures ca out of the club.

These creatures were golden yellow in color, smaller than the average human with big heads. Wielding bone scimitars, they rushed at Tang Jie.

These dwarfs t the sa fate as the strange creatures from before, all slain by a rain of blades from Tang Jie. But Tang Jie felt like these dwarfs were a little stronger, their bodies tougher. The creatures from before could be compared to the Mortal Shedding Realm, while these dwarfs were at Celestial Heart.

Of course, in front of Tang Jie, there was basically no difference, and they died all the sa.

Just as he had expected, these dwarfs also produced an energy that Tang Jie could absorb to grow stronger.

From this, Tang Jie confird that it was probably this place that was strange, able to generate lifeforms that allowed one to grow stronger just by killing them.

If the Martial Lord really had co through here, then his sudden increase in strength was understandable.

Just beating up all these creatures was enough to bring him to a terrifying level.

Like before, Tang Jie gave up on the club and went on his way. He encountered several more Dao armants, all of which had nurous lifeforms inhabiting them.

Tang Jie had never seen any of these creatures before, but they were also quite fierce and powerful. And once they were killed, they provided large amounts of energy that boosted Tang Jie's cultivation.

Just like that, Tang Jie's cultivation level rose higher and higher.

And not just his cultivation, his body also grew stronger.

He could sense that his body cultivation, which he had found very difficult to make any progress on, had started to also grow. Tang Jie wasn't sure what level was past this point, only that if the Gigantes King were here, he could fight him without using his law cultivation.

The farther he went, the stronger the creatures beca, and the more energy they produced for him to absorb.

At so point, each creature on a Dao armant could provide a hundredth of Tang Jie's energy.

This was one hundredth of a Gold Immortal's energy! In the chiliocosm, it would have taken thousands of years to cultivate this much, but here, he could simply kill these unknown lifeforms to get his hands on it, much to Tang Jie's amazent.

But he really was getting stronger, and he had confird through multiple thorough inspections that there were no side effects. The only explanation was that these lifeforms were basically giant vats of easily absorbable energy.

But Tang Jie was also finding it more and more difficult to advance.

Because the creatures on the Dao armants were getting stronger and stronger.

He reached a massive stone drum.

This stone drum was the size of a tiny domain, with rolling mountain ranges within which creatures romped. Their toughness was comparable to the Immortal Body.

If they were body cultivators, they would have an Immortal Spirit Body, which was comparable to the Violet Palace Realm.

If Tang Jie hadn't been a body cultivator, these Violet Palace creatures would have been an impassable barrier for him. Still, they took a while for Tang Jie to clean up. But once those massive torrents of energy flowed into him, Tang Jie felt all of his exhaustion being wiped away.

After absorbing all this energy, Tang Jie reached the late phase of Gold Immortal. Once he proved his Dao, he would be able to beco a Saint Immortal.

For Tang Jie, who had witnessed Nine Disaster's ascension and been enlightened, this was no difficult task.

Was he going to advance to Saint Immortal in this weird dinsion?

Tang Jie couldn't help but wonder.

Before that, however, he still needed to exterminate the denizens of at least twelve more Dao armants.

Tang Jie was already very close to the tower.

Calculating the distance, he determined that there were about twelve Dao armants between him and the tower.

"It lines up that perfectly?" Tang Jie muttered.

And then he narrowed his eyes.

Could it be a coincidence?

Why did it feel like there was so power luring him ever deeper?

The mont this thought ca to mind, it refused to leave him.

After a few monts, Tang Jie laughed and said, "I'm so stupid! Why do I have to go straight for the tower? Why can't I just go to the sides? If the creatures get stronger and stronger the deeper I go, then even if I'm at peak body cultivation, I might not be able to pass. Instead, I should stroll around and beat up so monsters and level up. Isn't it all the sa no matter where I go?"

Tang Jie picked a direction perpendicular to the tower and went off.

He soon reached a stone axe that was the size of a moon. On this axe were spiky creatures, but when Tang Jie finally managed to kill them after great effort, he found that the "experience" he obtained was much less.

"Interesting."

Tang Jie went to a few more Dao armants, and despite killing more and more creatures, he obtained less and less energy, almost nothing by the end.

"Is this to force people to go deeper?" Tang Jie narrowed his eyes.

At this mont, a group appeared in the distance.
