At dusk, the sky was gloomy.

If he had heard these words from Xinxin first before eting Liu ng, he might have viewed Liu ng more favorably.

"She sought you out first before coming to ?"
The Little Landlady also felt bemused, her mind going blank.
Lin Chuan nodded gently.
"Did you agree?" the Little Landlady inquired.
Lin Chuan waved his hand, "How could I make such a swift decision? I haven't even looked into Huarun Company yet, and besides, with such a big matter, I was just wondering how to discuss it with you."
"Don't agree to her!"
The Little Landlady pursed her lips, took a deep breath, "My biggest fear is that she hasn't changed at all, and if she drags you down with her, that would be terrible."
Lin Chuan grinned, his palm against the Little Landlady's cheek, "Don't worry, gambling and drugs are anathema to ."
"What about won?"
The Little Landlady's expression eased considerably.
Lin Chuan straightened up and smiled, "Heaven as my witness!"
"Chairman, you're resorting to cheesy lines," the Little Landlady scoffed with a laugh.
Watching the Little Landlady laugh, Lin Chuan breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Xinxin, my personal view is that your main concern is whether your aunt is a decent person now that she has suddenly returned to Anling to find you, right?"
The Little Landlady pondered for a mont, "Right."
If it were genuinely as Liu ng claid, it wouldn't cause Xinxin so much distress and confusion.
"Then, I'll find ti to ask a friend at the police station whether Huarun Company is legitimate," Lin Chuan smiled.
"Great, you always know what's on my mind," Xinxin said with a relieved smile.
The Little Landlady, feeling much more at ease with Lin Chuan around, grinned widely, "I'll cook you sothing delicious."
