"Hmm? Although Talent Quality has improved to a C grade, the na of the Talent hasn’t changed, it’s only the annotation that has shifted from the original D grade ’Chu Long’ to now ’Young dragon,’ I feel like I’m seeing a whole new naming convention..."
Based on the current situation, Zhang Yanhang guessed that further upgrades would likely only result in changes to the annotations following the Talent na, such as progressing from ’Young dragon’ and growing step by step into an ’Adult dragon’ and even a ’Mature Dragon’.
"Speaking of which, if it’s only a ’Young dragon’ at C grade, then what Quality do I need to upgrade this Talent to in order to beco an adult? It couldn’t be SS grade, could it?" Just thinking about the whopping 729 Talent upgrades needed, Zhang Yanhang felt sowhat of a headache.
"Never mind, let’s not think about that for now; better to check out the changes after upgrading Scroll Dragon Bloodline to C grade." While speaking, Zhang Yanhang opened up the Talent Effect details for the C grade Talent "Scroll Dragon Bloodline (Young Dragon)".
[Scroll Dragon Bloodline (Young Dragon)]
[Quality: C (0/27)]
[Ability One: Inestimable Wisdom——Intelligence 2 ( 1).]
[Ability Two: Hundred Dragon Wisdom——Energy value limit 22.5% ( 7.5%).]
[Ability Three: Spell List——Each day can use the entire Spell List 3 ( 1) tis without consuming any resources.]
[Zero Ring Spell List: Magical Tricks, Mage’s Hand, Secret Magic Mark, Communication Skill, Frost Freeze Beam.]
[First Tier Spell List: Launch Items, Guided Shooting, Master Language, Giant Transformation, Holy Light Beam.]
[Second Ring Spell List: Magical Tattoo, Magic Pet Pocket, Magic Pet Enhancent, Frenzy Skill, Scorching Ray.]
"Upon upgrading to C grade, the effects of both Inestimable Wisdom and Hundred Dragon Wisdom increased by one point in Intelligence Attribute and 7.5% in energy value limit, respectively..."
For the additional point in Intelligence Attribute gained from Inestimable Wisdom, Zhang Yanhang had nothing much to say but to note it was par for the course. After all, he had a total of three Talents. Each of these Talents would increase one Attribute value upon upgrading, so he couldn’t really make much of it other than acknowledging the normal rate of increase.
However, he was quite disappointed with Hundred Dragon Wisdom. It was already upgraded to C grade, but it only increased the energy value limit by a re 7.5%, maintaining the sa growth rate as the previous E and D grades.
"Ah, 7.5% is really too little. Under normal circumstances, shouldn’t it at least be sothing like fifteen or twenty percent? Okay, I’m just daydreaming.
In fact, just ten percent would have been quite satisfying, but the problem is I didn’t even get that."
Zhang Yanhang had initially hoped that upgrading Scroll Dragon Bloodline to C grade would help increase his energy value limit significantly, aiming for the short-term goal of reaching two thousand points. But unfortunately, the result was rather disappointing, remaining consistent with the original.
Of course, he could slightly understand (just a tiny bit, really) why the increase to the energy value limit was minor compared to regular Attack and Defense bonuses, considering that an increase in the energy value limit certainly held higher value.
"Besides the increase in Intelligence Attribute and energy value limit, the third Ability of the Scroll Dragon Bloodline, the Spell List, also had more uses available, shifting from two free uses a day to three, giving one more opportunity to be happy.
Furthermore, upon upgrading to C grade, the Spell List has been refreshed to include Second Ring Magic, which suggests that Scroll Dragon Bloodline probably unlocks a new tier of Magic with each Quality upgrade."
While Zhang Yanhang had once fantasized, when he first obtained the D grade Scroll Dragon Bloodline, that each Quality upgrade might refresh two tiers of Magic, this idea was dismissed by him as too far-fetched and hence dropped, with no chance of being realized; it was just too preposterous.
After all, if each Quality upgrade could refresh two tiers of Magic, then achieving S grade with Scroll Dragon Bloodline would allow him to access Nine cylinder spells, which include outrageous Magic like Ti Stop, the top level spells within the D&D power system.
Anything above Tenth Tier Magic, including Tenth Tier itself, is collectively referred to as Legendary Magic or Forbidden Magic, banned by the Magic Goddess due to their imnse power.
Among these, the most notorious is the twelfth-tier Karsas Sealing God Technique, also known as the Karsas God Slaying Technique.
The Great Mage Karsas was torn apart upon successfully casting the spell as he couldn’t handle the Divine’s imnse power, but also managed a one-for-one with the powerful Magic Goddess by disrupting the Magic Net, consequently causing a succession in the office of the Magic Goddess.
Therefore, one of the first actions of the new Magic Goddess was to ban Legendary Magic above the tenth tier to prevent eting the sa fate as her predecessor.
If Each Quality upgrade unlocked two sectors of Magic, then by raising Scroll Dragon Bloodline to SS grade, Zhang Yanhang could imdiately unlock Tenth and Eleventh Tier Legendary Magic.
Although nowhere near as preposterous as the Karsas Sealing God Technique, these spells could still pose significant power, capable of shattering a small dinsion without much trouble.
So, precisely because the idea of improving a Quality level and gaining two tiers of Magic spells was far-fetched, Zhang Yanhang dismissed the thought entirely—it was completely unrealistic.
At that level of Magic, it wasn’t just about him, a re Second Tier Awakened—getting promoted to Third Tier or even Fourth Tier probably wouldn’t qualify him to wield such spells.
"I’ve just managed to upgrade to Second Ring Magic, wondering when I’ll be able to use Legendary Magic."
Regarding the high-end concept of Legendary Magic, Zhang Yanhang felt that he had no expectation of it for a long ti to co, so he let go of such lofty aspirations and began to pragmatically review the Second Ring Magic spells that were added with the upgrade.
First among them was Magical Tattoo, which, as the na implies, allowed him to create Magical Tattoos, though the process required manual control and wasn’t achieved by a simple casting of Magic to instantly create a tattoo.
Accordingly, the scope and type of Magical Tattoos he could perform were quite flexible. Besides the conventional tattooing on the body, it was also possible to inscribe on leather to act as a Magical Scroll. However, Magical Tattoos were one-ti use only: the magic contained within could be used once before disappearing.
