"This female ghost, I’ll just go and actively hunt her down later when I have the ti. As for now, I definitely need to head right away to the Ashen World to hunt monsters. So, I choose Option One, head to the Ashen World!"
After making his choice, the Ti Pause instantly vanished. First, his vision went black, and then it switched to gray. Gazing at the greyish-white ceiling that had beco all too familiar, Zhang Yanhang felt an oddly hoy sense of affection.
However, Zhang Yanhang couldn’t tell if it was an illusion or not, but the ceiling, which he had already partially cleaned of dust, seed even more aged and decayed after his brief absence, as if on the verge of collapse any mont, like it was ready to cave in.
"I’ve only been gone a few days, right? Why does this house look like it’s about to fall apart at any mont? That’s ridiculous. Could it be that the floor above refreshed with a dozen zombies partying day and night, almost stomping through my ceiling?"
Zhang Yanhang imdiately used his Seeking Fortune and Avoiding Evil Skill to scan the Dulda Apartnt he was in but found no zombies inside the building. Instead, the streets outside the apartnt were teeming with zombies due to the automatic refresh.
But compared to the density of zombies when Zhang Yanhang first entered Raccoon City, these spawned zombies were nothing but a minor fraction.
Based on his experience, he had been away for just seven days, a week, during which ti he estimated that less than a thousand zombies could have spawned in Raccoon City.
For him at this stage, the profit from a thousand zombies was virtually negligible, considering that no matter how generously he estimated, a thousand zombies could only provide him with two or three thousand Energy points, whereas upgrading just about anything now required tens of thousands of Soul points.
Only his still LV.3 Supre Will Skill could make use of those two or three thousand Soul points, but even for the Supre Will Skill, that amount was barely enough to raise it to just LV.6, likely falling short of reaching even LV.7.
"No, it seems to be more than seven days. I left the Ashen World at six in the morning on the 13th, and now it’s seven thirty in the evening on the 20th. So, I’ve actually been gone for seven days and thirteen and a half hours, roughly seven and a half days.
If Raccoon City’s zombies could refresh just a bit more, it might be possible to reach over a thousand."
Zhang Yanhang felt if there were a thousand zombies in Raccoon City, it would barely be worth clearing, but if there weren’t even a thousand, then there really was no need to clear them out. He might as well continue to wait and clear them all at once later.
"But the exact number of zombies and such can be scanned later. Right now, I need to first clear out the prize pool of the slot machine..."
Zhang Yanhang hadn’t forgotten that he still had nine fragnts of Attack Coins. He was just one Attack Coin Fragnt away from combining them into another Attack Coin. And the last Fragnt he needed could be found in the Third Prize pool of the Lucky Slot Machine, where a Prototype Tyrant T-001 was up for grabs.
"Ah, I hope I can gather this last Attack Coin Fragnt this ti; otherwise, it’s really too much torture."
Zhang Yanhang sighed silently, then skillfully picked up the Lucky Slot Machine in the room and carried it down to the pit that had almost wiped out a thousand zombies.
As an aside, because Zhang Yanhang had dug quite deep, that pit was now cramd with Ordinary zombies that had accidentally stumbled in during their wandering. There were at least a few dozen of them.
After setting up the slot machine in its familiar spot, Zhang Yanhang briefly checked the refresh state of the prize pool. As expected, the First and Second Prizes still had not refreshed, with only the Third Prize being available.
"I rember that it was when I first entered Raccoon City to hunt zombies that I drew the First and Second Prizes. It’s been almost twenty days now, and there’s still no sign of them refreshing..."
Although the slot machine hadn’t refreshed the First and Second Prizes, Zhang Yanhang indeed had no other solution but to keep waiting. Since there had been no refresh for nearly half a month, he could only look forward to a potential refresh on the first of the following month.
To be honest, Zhang Yanhang was feeling quite pessimistic about the chances of the First and Second Prizes in the slot machine ever refreshing again. He was starting to suspect that perhaps there were one-ti awards that would never refresh.
And the way to verify this suspicion was to wait until the first of the next month. If the slot machine indeed did not refresh any prizes in a whole month’s ti, then it was likely that the First and Second Prizes were indeed one-ti only.
However, if the First and Second Prizes did refresh on the first of next month, then Zhang Yanhang reckoned that he might just be able to make use of them through forced fusion with Alchemy. Of course, it was also possible that they wouldn’t be applicable at all, as by that ti he might already have been promoted to Third Tier.
Therefore, generally speaking, whether the First and Second Prizes in the slot machine refreshed or not was becoming aningless to Zhang Yanhang, because even if they could refresh once a month, a month was way too long an interval and couldn’t keep up with Zhang Yanhang’s pace of growth.
But, although the First and Second Prizes no longer mattered much, the Third Prize was still of use. Zhang Yanhang relied on it to gather the Attack Coin Fragnts. So, having placed the machine in position, he imdiately pulled the tal lever on the side of the slot machine with practiced ease.
As the tal lever was pulled down, the familiar Ti Pause once again descended upon Raccoon City, and the likewise familiar prize list appeared before Zhang Yanhang’s eyes.
