Chapter 995: Chapter 243 Bronze Fortress_2

A powerful Barlow Fla Demon died just like that, quietly and without any ripples.

The surviving devils were also within the storm’s range, yet they weren’t affected at all. They trembled, lifting their heads to gaze towards the center of the storm where the Red Dragon stood.

Amidst the raging fiery storm, the imnse Red Dragon slowly flapped its wings, radiating a monuntal energy that twisted the air around it.

The roar of the Dragon Wings mixed with the explosive flas, the hissing airflow, and the wailing of demons, as if the world itself was venting its fury of destruction.

However, soon after, the Red Dragon raised its head high, expanding its Dragon Wings and letting out a sonorous dragon’s roar, commanding nature with an irresistible majesty.

In an instant, the dragonfla spanning miles receded like a tide, and the fierce winds cald down, leaving only chaos and a thick layer of ashes on the ground — the remnants of tens of thousands of demons.

“Oh, Lord of Nine Prisons…” The devils widened their eyes, frozen in place, murmuring in a trance.

Even though they knew the Red Dragon before them was their ally in so sense, the devils shivered all over, their voices trembling, faces full of fear, eyes showing deep apprehension.

Faced with such pure, all-consuming power, even the cunning and evil devils felt a genuine fear from within.

Cassius looked at the devils and asked, “You should have heard my na, right? Whose subordinates are you?”

The leading devil officer pondered for a mont, then lowered his head and made a deep bow.

“Great Emperor Jin Cassius, from the Radiant Heaven to the Barto Hell, your reputation is known to all. Your imnse strength and towering figure have left in awe.

The scene today of you burning the sky, slaughtering countless demons single-handedly, will forever be inscribed in my mind, unforgettable. You truly are a presence that terrifies demons…”

He glanced at the Red Dragon with a hint of devilish sycophancy and fear towards a superior in his tone.

“Get to the point.”

Seeing no change in Cassius’s expression, just a hint of impatience, he carefully replied, “We are the remnants of Lord Piere’s 21st Legion. We thank you for your assistance in killing those abyssal mongrels and saving our lives.”

“As expected, they are Piere’s subordinates… Haha, but even though they once served Zareel, that mad woman can never rise again, since I killed her myself.”

Cassius exhaled before continuing, “Where is Piere now?”

The devil officer pretended not to hear the shocking earlier words, focusing on responding while keeping his head lowered, “Lord Piere is personally commanding at the Bronze Fortress, leading Avernus’ elite forces against the main forces of the Abyssal Legion.

In recent days, to resist the abyssal invasion, Lord Piere has been working tirelessly, often ntioning your na.”

“What is the situation on the battlefield?”

“Not very optimistic. These demons are fierce and nurous, already occupying the northern part of Avernus, battling all the way to the Bronze Fortress. Luckily, Lord Piere is personally defending there, barely holding the line.”

“In that case, then… take there,” Cassius grinned, displaying a smile, “After all, I am his ‘intimate ally,’ and must lend a hand in such a critical ti.”

The devil officer was overjoyed, knowing that bringing a powerful ally would be credited to him. He might even win favor from the new Hell Lord and get promoted to an upper-level devil.

The devil officer raised his steel fork, pointing south, hastily saying, “Your Majesty Cassius, please follow . I believe Lord Piere will be delighted to see such a strong ally coming.”

“Alright.”

Cassius turned his head, looking into the distance, to see a giant pillar made of demon skulls standing on the wasteland, as if holding up the heavens and the earth.

This group of armored devils flapped their bat wings and sped in flight, leading the way.

The sky roared, and the Red Dragon spread its vast Dragon Wings, trailing flas as it swept across the wasteland, casting a massive shadow on the ground.

Both inside and outside the Bronze Fortress echoed with the roars of demons and the battle cries of devils.

On the flat plain outside the Bronze Fortress, an overwhelming tide of demon legion surged. Giant Bull Demons, Frosthorns, Bagulamos, Seducing Demons, and even Demonized Giants appeared among them, occupying both the sky and ground fully.

With each assault, they struck like waves upon

anwhile, the well-trained Devil Guards stood ready outside the Bronze Fortress, forming tight formations, operating Hellfire Cannons, repeatedly repelling the magic tide’s onslaught.

At this mont, the position was piled with tens of thousands of demon corpses, exuding a pungent stench, with a salty, moist atmosphere perating the air.

“For the Will of the Great Abyss! Tear them apart! Avernus shall belong to us!”

“Kill those abyssal mongrels!”

“Lord of Nine Prisons above, what a bunch of cursed beasts! We must never let them enter the Bronze Fortress!”

The devils were organized and tactical.

So wielded Giant Shields at the front, others fired arrows from afar, while more operated the Hellfire Cannons, instantly evaporating demons

Often, groups of twenty-sothing devil guards worked in coordination, forming sowhat comprehensive defensive systems. Even the weak Inferior Devils and little devils scurried around, constructing defensive structures.

Compared to the devils, the demons’ tactics were exceedingly crude, often charging mindlessly at the enemy with a collective roar.

The clash between order and chaos also manifested in their battle tactics.

Demons crashed like waves against the lines, with tens of thousands of demons and devil guards locked in a slaughter, blood splattering, flesh flying, and lives becoming as insignificant as weeds.

The seemingly endless, nurous demons couldn’t fully overrun the Bronze Fortress due to the well-prepared Devil Army’s tactics, preventing instant inundation by the magic tide.

At this mont, an unexpected guest intruded on the battlefield, breaking the delicate balance.

“Roar──”

The resounding Dragon’s Roar echoed across the sky, sending a tremor through both battling demons and devils.

Flas followed, sweeping across the land like turbulent tides, incinerating the demons surrounding the Bronze Fortress, reducing them to ashes, clearing a swath of desolate ground hundreds of ters wide.

The Red Dragon circled overhead, flapping its wings, before descending with a thundering boom onto the Bronze Fortress wall, causing the entire wall to tremble slightly, with dust and debris rolling down.

Nearby, a towering devil appeared amidst the Hellfire, suspended in mid-air.

His entire body was covered in deep red scales, a pair of massive bat-like wings stretched from his back, and his waist was girded with a belt adorned with twelve angel heads, wielding a blazing Great Sword of Fla.

In the mont of his appearance, an intense majesty spread across the ramparts, infused with the power of Order Evil, and surrounding devils kneeled in respect, displaying utmost deference.

With such a grand entrance, this devil’s identity was apparent — indeed, the interim Lord of Avernus, Piere.

Piere gazed at the Red Dragon that descended upon the Bronze Fortress, his expression sowhat stern, seemingly biting his lips, eyes brimming with hatred and rage almost unable to be suppressed.

Cassius nodded slightly, greeting first with a smile, “Long ti no see, Lord Piere, my loyal ally. You have finally regained this position, once more reigning over Avernus.”

“Indeed, long ti no see, Your Majesty Cassius… You have finally arrived.” Piere forced a polite smile as he customarily responded, but there was a hint of gritting teeth in his tone.

Before his words faded, a powerful Power of Hell radiated from Piere, pressing towards the Red Dragon. Yet quickly, Cassius also released a similar pressure, the two forces contending, matching each other, causing the interface of the space to crack and swirl with chaos.

Piere stared intently at Cassius.

This familiar power… indeed, it is him!

It was he who took my Avernus’ Authority, who prevented from becoming a complete Hell Lord!
