Chapter 807: Chapter 152: The Visit of the Orcs

When they left the treasury, it was already around three or four in the morning. The Ancient Gold Dragon and the Dwarf King returned to the Royal Palace together, engaging in casual conversation along the way, and significantly, none ntioned the crucial agreent.

In the Royal Palace, the Young Gold Dragon, Aurora, had been waiting for a long ti. The Dwarves, known for their strong tolerance for liquor, were gradually getting up from the ground, though still sowhat groggy.

Then, amid the lingering farewells of the Dwarves, the robust singing and enthusiastic cheering, the two Gold Dragons suddenly flapped their wings and soared into the sky.

At the broad terrace on the top of the Royal Palace, the Dwarf King raised his head, gazing long into the distance at the golden silhouette, his expression gradually becoming solemn.

At dawn, the first light outlined the golden edges of Black Stone Mountain and cast a hazy glow over the bodies of the Gold Dragons, as if they were rging into the sky itself.

Seeing such a scene, the departing Dwarves grew even more excited and jubilant, with the continuous loud cries of “Wings of Dawn” and “Dragon of Dawn” echoing for a long ti.

“Your Majesty… What are you worried about?” A familiar voice ca. The Dwarf minister, Bjorn, leaning on a cane, walked shakily onto the terrace, approaching Ed from behind.

After the battle of Black Stone Mountain, this Dwarf, over three hundred years old, seed to have aged significantly. His face was covered with wrinkles, and his figure more hunched, even his walking seed unsteady.

Ed could see that, like himself, his old minister was also nearing the end, the Molten Furnace Fire within him burning out.

Gazing at the sky, now void of any trace of the Gold Dragons, the Dwarf King sighed softly: “Can we truly trust an ally we’ve only known for a few months? Even if he is a just and noble Gold Dragon.”

“Your Majesty, this is a regrettable necessity, we are out of options. Considering everything, Lord Titus really is the best choice,” Bjorn replied in a hoarse voice, his wrinkles deepening, looking almost as cracked as the rocks of Black Stone Mountain.

Ed removed the Warhamr from his waist, gripping it tightly in his hand, looking at the Dwarven script engraved on it, then shook his head with a wry smile: “Bjorn, I don’t know if this decision is right.

But the feeling of entrusting the fate of the Shield Dwarves to soone else… it’s appalling.”

Bjorn, struggling to raise his head, tried to console him: “Your Majesty, our objective has been achieved. Protected by such a renowned Ancient Gold Dragon of the Good Alignnt, those children won’t have too bad a future.

Though it sounds uncomfortable, this way… our Shield Dwarves still have a hope for the future, especially since we ourselves don’t have much ti left.”

Hearing Bjorn’s words, Ed chuckled self-deprecatingly, gripping the handle of the hamr even tighter, as if embedding it into his flesh: “You’re right, we’re all about to die, why think so much?

As for the future of our Shield Dwarf race, let’s leave it to the children who will grow under the protection of the Gold Dragons’ wings.”

At this mont, the sun had fully risen, and its rays fell on the terrace of Aivendel Palace, lighting up the rugged faces of the two Dwarves.

In the central part of North Aisier Plain, within a spacious cave serving as the temporary palace of the Ashen Empire’s Emperor—the Red Dragon lay lazily on the ground, greedily absorbing the Sun God Power within him, exhaling a hot white smoke sprinkled with sparks.

Just then, he slowly got up from the ground and poked his enormous head out of the cave, intuitively looking westward—towards the High Mountain Kingdom.

“Eye of Gush…”

Cassius grinned, revealing a ferocious smile, with steam continuously billowing from between his teeth.

Participating in the Black Stone Mountain battle was rely a leisurely move for him; he aid to boost the renown of “Titus” as a cover, securing a place for himself in the camp of righteousness and goodness.

But this ti, he discovered sothing incredible—the Eye of Gush, an unexpected delight even Cassius hadn’t anticipated.

It must be known that this was a part of a Divine Body of a powerful Divine being!

Even though the Orc race is currently in a period of decline, and Gush is about to fall to a mid-level Divinity, the value of this Divine Artifact remains imasurable, with the complete “Eye of Gush” possibly surpassing the value of “Heart of Karex” held by Cassius.

Moreover, as one of the symbols of the “One-eyed God” Gush, the fallen eye might already have condensed divinities of chaos, evil, strength, and war, all compatible with him; if he could devour all these…

It might let the Red Dragon leap to beco a true Demigod, although the residual will within the Eye of Gush might cause so trouble for him.

“Divinity…”

Thinking this, Cassius’ pale golden slit pupils filled with greed, flickering with faint flas, while his mouth almost dripped with hot magma-like Dragon Saliva.

Suddenly, a communicator within the cave chid, and after Cassius accepted, a Magic Image appeared before him—a hideous face, protruding fangs, and scales-covered cheeks—that of the Dragon Vein Ogre, Rump.

As the richest plain in northern Thessaly, the North Aisier Region spans 700,000 square kiloters, already a fifth the size of The Ashen Empire’s holand.

To digest such a vast conquered area, even for the current Ashen Empire, is a quite troubleso matter.
