Adrian did not answer imdiately. Instead, he turned to look at Duke Hawke and asked coldly, "Did you bring them here? Have you truly betrayed the Allied Forces?"
His gaze was sharp, like the scorching sun, seemingly ready to burn through the other’s fat and bloated body at any mont.
Duke Hawke, hiding behind the tall Titan Divine Descendant, showed a mixed expression of fear and anger, frantically saying, "His Majesty Audis contacted first! Everything I’ve done is for the Kingdom of Seleucis!"
"For Seleucis?"
Adrian sneered, looking at the Duke with disdain: "I think it’s for your duchy title."
"So what? Aren’t all of you present forr nobles?" Duke Hawke opened his arms and loudly retorted.
"Haven’t you realized? Those Imperials don’t want to restore us to our forr status! That Red Dragon pisses everywhere like a dog in heat, trying to make the Kingdom of Seleucis their territory!"
Duke Hawke cursed furiously, spittle flying as the opponents in the hall argued with reason.
"You’re talking nonsense!"
"Federico Hawk! You’re just a spoiled brat, only standing here because of your noble title. What right do you have to speak such nonsense!"
"Fool! You actually brought these shaless Cassandra people!"
In the face of everyone’s accusations, Hawke showed a strange smile: "I just did the sa as you, choosing to ally with a stronger power. At least I didn’t beco the dog of a beast like your Adrian Duke."
Then, he turned and cast a flattering gaze at the woman in the church robe: "Ms. Gante, it seems the nobles led by Adrian have already been bewitched by that evil giant dragon. We should cut them off quickly, knowing the Pri Minister of the Empire will visit soon. By then..."
Gante ignored Duke Hawke, staring coldly at Adrian with a detached gaze, raising the golden scepter in her hand, and said coldly:
"Adrian, this is your last chance. Submit to the church, and we can let bygones be bygones. We can even make you an Angel Envoy of the Sun, enjoying supre glory."
"If you refuse, not only will your strength and life be taken away, but your comrades and subordinates will also be—"
Seeing this, Duke Hawke kneeled at Gante’s feet, pleading bitterly: "My lady, Ms. Gante, this fellow has long submitted to the Ashen Empire. He is not to be trusted..."
"Bang!"
Gante rely signaled with her eyes, and the Titan Divine Descendant beside her kicked Hawke away.
The fat Duke hit the wall, blood spurting, losing consciousness, causing exclamations among the nobles, but the Titan Divine Descendants remained unmoved.
In their eyes, mortals were re dust, and even nobles were no exception.
Only Adrian, who bore the Power of the Sun God, was reluctantly considered their equal.
"See the light, Duke Adrian. His Majesty Audis awaits you. You will beco a hero of Seleucis — indeed, all of Fadlan."
Adrian, however, contemplated the Holy Emblem on the other’s church robe, asking with hostility: "Who exactly is the Sun God you worship?"
Amanata, the just and tolerant Arbitrator.
His followers are often strict and rigid, yet conservative, treating mortals as gentle as the morning sun, never showing such contempt for all beings.
Their attitude reminded Adrian of those Dragon Worshipers who valued bloodline above all.
As a forr churchgoer, Adrian could feel that the eyes of the Titan Divine Descendants and that woman seed to contain a fury, ready to burst out at any mont, fiercely burning everything in the world.
And the Sun Holy Emblem carved with a human face also showed a twisted, hideous look, glaring angrily, making him shiver.
According to the original doctrine, the sun is just, selfless, a guardian of ti and a symbol of nature’s power, never to be this wild and uncontrollable being like wildfire.
Amanata.
The righteous and solemn Sun God should not be like this.
Hearing Adrian’s words, Gante sneered disdainfully, then raised the scepter high, and a huge fireball appeared in the air. The released light was so intense that everyone in the hall couldn’t open their eyes, only feeling the air turn hot, perspiration imdiately evaporating from their skin.
"Of course, it is the great Sun God, the new fla of revenge, the ruler of fire and the sun—Tezcano!"
The solemn female voice echoed in the empty hall, the tone revealing an undisguised fanaticism and piety, but the pupils of the forr Sun God followers shrank, filled with disbelief.
Tezcano?
When did such a divine presence appear?
Wasn’t the only faith of Holy Fadlan the "Lord of Eternal Radiance," Amanata?
"So it is..."
Though Adrian had anticipated it, he still gritted his teeth, clutching his longsword tightly, leaning slightly forward, and growled from the depths of his throat:
"Heretics, no, despicable, shaless infidels, it turns out you Cassandra people were behind the great catastrophe back then! You betrayed Her Majesty Amanata!"
"Heretics!"
"I thought they were envoys of the Amanata Church, but they are cultists insulting the Sun God!"
