The mont his fingers closed around the seed, it dissolved.

It simply lost its form, turning into a stream of warm light that flowed into his hand and moved through him without resistance. He felt it pass through his arm. It traveled inward, drawn toward the center of his soul by a force he did not control yet fully understood.

The tree, the burning fruits, and the cracked land began to fade around him as the seed sank deeper into his being.

Darkness returned.

But this ti, it was not empty.

He beca aware of himself again. Before him, the golden circuit he had ford earlier appeared once more. Ten nodes glowed along its pathways, each one steady and complete, connected by faint golden lines that pulsed with life. The circuit was no longer dormant. It had beco active, alive in a way it had not been before.

The seed moved toward it.

It did not attach itself randomly. It moved with purpose. It reached the center of the circuit, where all the pathways ca closest without touching. Then it stopped.

The nodes responded.

One by one, nine of the ten nodes shifted. They moved closer to the center, their positions adjusting naturally as though this had always been their intended place. The golden lines connecting them curved inward, forming a perfect circular ring around the seed. The structure completed itself without effort, each node locking into place as part of the new formation.

The tenth node remained where it was.

It did not move.

It stayed outside the ring, still connected to the circuit but separate from the formation that now surrounded the seed.

At the center of the ring, the seed stabilized. It was small, no larger than a grain, resting in the center of the nine-node ring. Its surface was dark, almost black, yet from within it burned a faint glow. A tiny spark of fla flickered inside it, weak but steady, like the last ember left behind after a great fire had ended.

The nine nodes around it pulsed slowly, each one feeding into the seed and receiving sothing in return. Soul energy flowed naturally through the circuit, entering the seed first before spreading outward again. The flow was smoother than before, more controlled, as though the seed had beco the heart of the entire structure.

The circuit stabilized completely.

He felt it clearly now. It did not give him power in the way the other fruits had offered. It did not change his body or force new strength into him.

The golden circuit pulsed once more, and with it ca a whisper that settled directly into his awareness.

Ember Seed.

The na did not feel new. It felt rembered, as though it had always existed within him and only now had been uncovered. Along with the na ca fragnts of understanding.

Before he could focus on it further, another change began. The connection between his soul and his body tightened.

He felt it happen.

Soul energy flowed naturally from the primordial source, entering the Ember Seed first. It did not need to be forced. It entered willingly, drawn inward as though the seed had beco its rightful destination. From there, the energy spread outward through the golden ring of nine nodes and then across the rest of the circuit. The flow was smooth and uninterrupted, circulating on its own without his effort.

His body responded imdiately.

A strange sensation settled over him. It felt as though sothing that had always been slightly out of place had finally returned to where it belonged. His control deepened. His awareness sharpened. Even without moving, he could feel himself more completely than before.

Then the Ember Seed pulsed.

A ripple spread outward from it, traveling through his soul circuit and beyond. It moved past the limits of his body and extended into the space around him.

The darkness that surrounded him did not vanish.

It revealed.

Shapes erged within it. He beca aware of the structure of the world around him. The ground beneath him existed clearly in his awareness. The trees stood rooted in place. He could sense the movent of air itself as it flowed between them, shifting and curling in slow currents.

Then he observed sothing else.

A heartbeat.

It was steady and controlled, carrying strength within it. His awareness followed it naturally, tracing its position without effort. A figure ford around that heartbeat, its outline becoming clearer as he focused on it.

He recognized it imdiately.

Luna.

He could sense the soul energy within her, the natural flow that surrounded her body. It was different from mana. It moved differently, carried differently. It confird what she was.

The realization ca without surprise.

This was Soul Sense.

It had not been given to him as a separate skill. It had erged naturally from the Ember Seed, a consequence of its existence. It allowed him to perceive the world beyond his physical senses, not perfectly, but enough.

The awareness of this place began to fade slowly as the connection to his physical body strengthened. He decided to give this place a na.

The Instinct Realm.

The place where instinct took form.

The place where beasts found their path.

Beasts were driven by instinct. That truth had always existed, but now he understood it differently. As his awareness settled fully into his body, mories surfaced with new clarity. He rembered the hunts.

The patience.

The waiting.

The certainty that ca just before he moved.

He had never needed anyone to teach him those things. He had followed them naturally.

His Primal Matrix was Umbra.

That governed his mana.

But this—

This was different. He finally realised the root of his behaviour and understood his new awakening.

His Primal Instinct was Seeker.

A Seeker observed.

A Seeker understood.

A Seeker waited until the mont where action would matter most.

And now, he had awakened as one.

******

Outside the white mist surrounding his suspended body began to change.

Until now it had floated around him in slow, endless motion, rising and falling like breath made visible. It no longer moved aimlessly. It began to withdraw. The soul energy that had gathered around him turned inward, drawn back toward its source. It flowed into him in steady currents, disappearing beneath his skin without resistance.

Inside him, the Ember Seed received it.

The faint spark at the center of the nine-node ring burned slightly brighter as the incoming soul energy settled into place. It did not overflow or escape. The circulation that had begun in the Instinct Realm continued seamlessly, the energy moving from the seed through the circuit and then outward, becoming part of him.

At the sa ti, the mana that had erupted from his body began to recede.

The dark smoke of Umbra that had risen like ash slowly collapsed inward, drawn back toward his core. The black strands that had drifted around him dissolved into nothing as they returned to their origin. His mana core absorbed it naturally.

His body descended slowly. Luna stood frozen where she was, unable to move as she watched. She felt it clearly. The awakening had completed.

His feet touched the ground.

The mont they did, the final remnants of energy vanished into him. Silence returned to the clearing. But his body was no longer the sa.

The injuries that had covered him began to heal. The torn flesh along his calf closed visibly, the damaged muscle restoring itself as though ti itself had been reversed. Bruises faded. Cuts sealed. The swelling disappeared. Within seconds, the damage that had left him barely able to stand was gone completely.

His breathing stabilized.

Even his hair had changed. The dark strands had deepened further, becoming a richer black, absorbing the light around them instead of reflecting it. His entire presence felt more defined, more complete, as though sothing that had once been fragnted had finally been made whole.

Then his eyes opened.

The black within them was deeper than before. There was no glow, no unnatural light, yet their darkness carried weight. They were steady, clear, and fully aware.

They did not wander.

They locked onto Luna imdiately.
