Kai gracefully touched down on the ground, his movents fluid and agile. "You certainly know how to fight for an alchemist," he comnted, a hint of admiration in his voice.
Without wasting any ti, Kai's hand morphed into a crimson black claw that pierced through Yuan's chest, instantly obliterating his soul and Nascent Divinity, leaving behind a lifeless husk.
Kai let out a sigh of satisfaction before ticulously gathering all of Yuan's belongings. He retrieved his space ring, carefully pocketed the assortnt of precious dicines, and took possession of his cauldron. As he turned his attention to the silver sword resting on the ground, sothing peculiar occurred. The sword underwent a strange transformation, morphing into a small pill before drifting into the sky with incredible speed, disappearing from sight.
Baffled, Kai stood there with his mouth agape, trying to comprehend what he had just witnessed. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed as he sensed a presence behind him. "Have you made sure that his soul is completely destroyed?" Liang, who seed to have appeared out of thin air, inquired.
Kai sneered at the question. "Do you think I would overlook such a crucial detail?" he retorted.
Liang's eyes flickered with uncertainty as he considered another possibility. "Then the pill probably gained consciousness and transford into a Pill Demon," he mused aloud.
"A Pill Demon? What kind of entity is that? Besides, this pill did not appear to be a dicinal pill. Could it not be a sword spirit instead?" Kai grumbled, his confusion evident.
Liang calmly explained, "It is not difficult to differentiate between the two. Sword spirits are always accompanied by sword qi, but the pill we just witnessed did not possess any traces of it."
Kai pondered the information for a mont before nodding in understanding. "So, it is a pill demon then. How are these creatures ford?" he inquired.
Liang took a mont to collect his thoughts before a smile graced his lips. "Seventh-order pills, during their refinent process, often attract heavenly tribulations. Once they successfully surpass these trials, the pills are deed to have gained the recognition of the power of heaven and earth. If left undisturbed for hundreds of thousands of years, they awaken their own consciousness, transforming into Pill Demons."
"Strange," Kai murmured, his eyes narrowing as suspicion crept into his mind. "You seem to possess knowledge about everything lately. Where did you acquire such information?"
Liang chuckled lightly and shook his head. "I simply have a penchant for reading," he replied cryptically.
Kai sneered in response to Liang's vague answer, his attention soon drawn to a ball of golden fla that flickered nearby. "You require this fla, don't you?" he asked Liang pointedly.
Liang nodded eagerly, waving his hand to encase the golden fla in a shimring, translucent bubble that rapidly dissipated into thin air.
"Now, with this fla, Jiang Yin's fla, and your flas, we only lack one more," Liang stated with a sense of anticipation.
"Can we finally go and retrieve the last component?" Kai inquired impatiently.
Liang nodded, and in an instant, the duo vanished from their current location.
Monts later, they materialized once again in front of the imposing mountain gate. This ti, no one stood guard, allowing them easy passage. Exchanging a brief glance, they proceeded down a long, exquisitely designed alleyway.
After so ti, the pair arrived at a grand jade gate, its majestic presence demanding reverence. Stepping through the gate, they found themselves in a magnificent hall, adorned with intricate carvings and opulent decorations.
As Kai and Liang made their way through the grand hall, they couldn't help but be captivated by the splendor that surrounded them. Displayed on elegant stands along the walls were an array of exquisitely crafted weapons, each one a work of art in its own right. Gleaming swords adorned with intricate engravings, deadly spears with gleaming tips, and ornate bows with strings made of the finest silk - the hall was a treasure trove of martial masterpieces.
Interspersed among the weapons were glass cases containing rare and precious dicines. Jade bottles held elixirs with vibrant hues, emitting a faint, intoxicating fragrance. Herbs and roots, carefully preserved and labeled, were showcased in delicate porcelain jars.
The duo then entured deeper into the grand hall, the atmosphere shifted, and an air of tranquility and profound serenity surrounded them. They found themselves in a sacred space, adorned with pillars intricately carved with symbols of wisdom and enlightennt. Soft rays of sunlight filtered through stained glass windows, casting vivid colors across the polished marble floor.
At each side of the hall, breathtakingly beautiful won stood, their ethereal presence adding to the enchanted ambiance. Their long, flowing robes cascaded like waterfalls, shimring with majestic hues of gold, erald, and sapphire. Jewels adorned their graceful necks and wrists, sparkling like stars in the night sky.
"How may we be of assistance to you?" a gentle voice suddenly interjected, its tone filled with empathy and understanding.
Kai's eyes widened with surprise as he took in the woman's ethereal beauty. Her flowing gown glimred with celestial hues, shimring like moonlight on water. Her long, silky hair cascaded down her back, seemingly untouched by the passage of ti.
To his amazent, it was none other than the woman who had perford the role of the esteed Auctioneer for the illustrious Heavenly Fortune Auction.
With a nod, Kai stepped forward, breaking the brief silence. "We are in search of a rare ancient artifact known as the Earth Spirit Compass."
The woman's delicate brow furrowed as she considered his words. "Ah, the Earth Spirit Compass," she mused, her voice echoing with a hint of nostalgia. "Truly, it is an ancient and elusive item."
Her gaze shifted towards one of the won present in the hall, "Sister East, if my mory serves well, we did possess an Earth Spirit Compass at one point, did we not?"
East, a serene and serene woman with a gentle deanor, nodded gracefully. "Indeed, we were fortunate to have one within our collection. However, it found a new owner nearly a year ago."
A soft chuckle escaped the enigmatic woman's lips, her eyes portraying a glimr of amusent. "How intriguing! To think that after all this ti, there are two souls in search of this rare artifact."
Undeterred, Liang took a deep breath, his eyes glinting with renewed determination. "Is there any chance for us to discover the identity of the person who bought it?"
In an instant, surprise flickered across the woman's features, her gaze lingering intently on Liang. There was a pause, as if she delved into her mory, retrieving fragnts of information.
After a mont of contemplation, a knowing smile blossod on her lips. "you must be Liang Yifei, right?"
