The clashes of swords and the crackling of energy filled the air as the mbers of the Starry Sky Alliance unleashed their powerful attacks. Zhuo Li, his eyes ablaze with determination, skillfully parried the relentless strikes of the old man and the Daoist Priest, with dark lightning arches circling his black spear.
Jiang Yan expertly maneuvered through the chaotic battlefield, her blue flas dancing around her with swift, precise movents, attacking and defending simultaneously.
Despite being wounded and surrounded, Xue Ren refused to yield. Translucent crystals surrounded his body, making it difficult for him to use his sword as Bai Shuan and Li Yan gave him no chance to strike back.
The clash between the Legion mbers and the Starry Sky Alliance intensified their movents a deadly dance within the ruins. Sparks flew as swords clashed, each strike filled with the raw power of their desires, hopes, and determination.
The energy in the air crackled with electrifying intensity, growing stronger with every passing mont. Zhuo Li strained to evade and defend against countless sword rays and attacks. Jiang Yan, too, found it increasingly difficult to endure. Xue Ren, battered and bruised, summoned every elental attack he could conjure.
Unknown to them, amidst the chaos and clash of blades, a figure clad in black robes appeared not far from their location. His piercing yellow eyes surveyed the battle with a calculated gaze.
Bai Shuan looked on with a sinister grin as his eyes fell upon Xue Ren's exhausted and wounded body. "Now that's what they call justice," he sneered. "It's ti to end this."
Without a thunderous roar, Bai Shuan's body began to enlarge, golden runes and symbols swirling around him, as if following his every move.
With a loud bam, he swung his four-ter sword, now gleaming with a golden hue, towards Xue Ren. Desperately, Xue Ren raised his own sword to defend, but it was no match. Bai Shuan's sword cleaved through Xue Ren's sword, cutting it in half before crashing down upon his body like a teor. The sound of glass cracking resonated throughout the battle, as Xue Ren's body shattered into countless pieces of crystals, devoid of any signs of life force.
Simultaneously, Gu Hong's hand closed around Jiang Yan's neck, tightening his grip with a cruel smile. anwhile, Chang Jin's golden feather pierced every part of her body, inflicting excruciating pain.
As she felt her life force slowly dwindling, a weak and ethereal sensation began to swirl within the depths of her being. The sin bind that had tightly clasped onto her soul for what felt like an eternity finally succumbed to the overwhelming weight of her diminishing life force. Desperation etched across her pale and gaunt face, she fought against her weakening body, desperately attempting to utter a sound, to release the pent-up turmoil within her.
But alas, as her soul teetered on the edge of existence, it crumbled into a re wisp of its forr self, disintegrating into nothingness.
As for Zhuo Li, his situation was even more tragic. His lifeless body lay sprawled on the ground, covered in countless deep sword wounds.
Having efficiently seized Jiang Yan and Zhuo Li's space rings, the Starry Sky Alliance mbers wasted no ti in eradicating any evidence of their presence. Their ticulous approach left no room for oversight or rembrance, as they diligently reduced the once life-filled bodies to a re pile of ashes. The mbers moved with calculated grace, swiftly fading back into the backdrop of shadows, their departure almost imperceptible. They lted seamlessly into the vast expanse of the battlefield, leaving no trace of their existence.
After a considerable passage of ti, the shattered fragnts of crystal littered on the ground began to emit a soft, ethereal glow. The light intensified, creating an otherworldly radiance that bathed the surrounding area in an aura of mystique. Intriguingly, the crystal pieces, once disparate and lifeless, started to defy gravity, floating leisurely in the air. Like a choreographed symphony, they elegantly converged, twirling and swirling until they united to form a breathtakingly translucent figure. The shape slowly solidified, gradually transforming into the familiar countenance of a youth—none other than Xue Ren, the very person who was believed to have succumbed to death earlier.
As Xue Ren's eyes flickered open, a maelstrom of emotions flashed within them, revealing the depths of his inner turmoil. Anguish mingled with fury, the sheer weight of his losses weighing heavily on his soul. It seed as though he had been stripped of everything he held dear. Yet, within the storm of his emotions, he found a flicker of resilience, a glimr of determination that reignited the fire within. Any trace of defeat or desolation was quickly vanquished as he regained his composure. With a firm resolve, he muttered under his breath, his words laden with an unyielding resolve, "Starry Sky Alliance, mark my words. I will not rest until this grievance is resolved."
In an instant, the atmosphere shifted, and Xue Ren's widened eyes suddenly betrayed a horrifying sight. Blood, crimson and thick, trickled from his parted lips, staining his mouth with an eerie morbidity. His gaze imdiately dropped to his chest, where a hand had effortlessly speared through his flesh, a jarring intrusion that had occurred without his awareness. The steely determination that once burned within him was now replaced with a sense of futility—a realization that his initial resolve may prove futile in the face of this unexpected assault.
As despair threatened to overco him, an even more malevolent force took hold. Sinister chains materialized, snaking around his essence with a chilling grip. Like venomous serpents, they slithered through the very core of his being, constricting and squeezing relentlessly. With unyielding tenacity, they pried into the depths of his mories, extracting fragnts with rciless precision. As the light began to fade from his eyes, his life force ebbed away while the chains tightened their vice-like hold.
Kai slowly retracted his hand, his countenance ruminative. An amalgamation of annoyance and fascination flickered in his yellow eyes as he contemplated the situation before him. His voice was tinged with a hint of arrogance as he spoke, "Well," he mused, carefully choosing his words, "he nearly succeeded in deceiving . If it hadn't been for the soul fluctuation I sensed within the crystal, I might have fallen into the sa trick as those foolish spirit cultivators."
Without a mont's hesitation, Kai swiftly waved his hand, his movents filled with a sense of urgency. With a flick of his wrist, Xue Ren's lifeless body was transported effortlessly into his space ring, as though he were no more than a re object.
As soon as the task was complete, Kai dissipated into the shadows. Like a ghost blending seamlessly with the darkness, he vanished without a trace, leaving behind nothing but a lingering sense of unease. The way he had entered this scene, he departed in the sa clandestine manner, his true motives shrouded in secrecy.
