Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Completion!

Clang!

William’s longsword struck against the protective case, emitting a crisp sound, yet the sharp blade only left a faint mark on it.

Didn’t expect this thing to be so tough!

William’s hand felt a bit numb from the impact. After all, it was a protective case made by a legendary mage. Given his own strength, it was sowhat difficult to destroy it.

Putting away the sword and confirming that physical attacks were ineffective, William took out the Erald staff and began chanting an incantation.

“Blue Bomb!”

“Shatterburst!”

Fire elents condensed, three blue-hot fireballs appeared before William. This ti, all three fireballs were enhanced with the third-tier arcane spell “Shatterburst” by him. Directed by him, they smashed towards the black case on the ground.

Boom!

The blue fireballs fiercely struck the protective case, the terrifying heat distorting the air.

Crack~

William saw cracks appearing on the case under the combined effects of the Blue Bomb and Shatterburst, indicating that it was effective!

Without hesitation, William quickly mobilized all his magical power. Blue fireballs continued to gather around him, smashing down onto the black protective case on the ground.

The intense sounds of battle downstairs were getting closer to William. He knew Angela couldn’t buy him much more ti.

Ignoring the tearing pain caused by the rapid circulation of magic in his body, William held the jade staff in his right hand, continuously casting spells, while his left hand retrieved healing potions from the storage ring, replenishing the magic consud in his body.

Commanding his vampire minions to block the door, William continued casting spells thodically, without any hesitation due to the increasingly closer sounds of battle. He even spared a mont to use an ignition spell.

Perhaps because William gained the talents “Interdiate Fire Elental Affinity” and “Spellcasting Genius (Novice),” compared to the previous battle, he clearly felt that the power of his spellcasting had greatly increased.

Even Azrael’s protective case couldn’t withstand William’s relentless onslaught. It began to crack and lt in the blue flas.

Downstairs.

The entire Lich’s Tower seed to tremble under Azrael’s fury. Magical runes on the walls lit up one after another, and terrifying power gathered around the lich’s withered figure.

Angela was brutally struck by Azrael’s dark swords, embedding her into the wall, her blood dimming.

Wiping away the bloodstains from the corner of her mouth, Angela felt the pain. Thankfully, she didn’t want to fight anymore.

Why was this guy so vicious this ti? Last ti, it wasn’t this brutal.

But Angela still rushed forward, determined to fulfill her promise. Besides, this was her only hope of leaving this place, she had to give it a try.

Unconscious Azrael instinctively sensed a threat to his life upstairs, unleashing all his power driven by survival instinct.

The fingertips, now white bones, gathered the power of dark death, pointing towards Angela.

Ninth-tier spell “Death’s Touch”!

Angela felt every hair on her body stand on end as the shadow of death enveloped her entire being. She no longer cared about stopping Azrael. Layers of blood essence solidified into protective shields in front of her, and the vampires surrounding Angela frantically rushed forward to shield her.

Representing death, a ray of light shot from Azrael’s fingertips towards Angela, seeming to deprive all life along its path.

The vampires shielding Angela couldn’t bear the impact for even a mont, turning into ashes under the black light.

The dark light crashed into the blood-red shield in front of Angela with a loud bang. The shield trembled, weakened by more than half, before finally shattering into pieces. The attack struck Angela directly, engulfing her delicate body in the pitch-black light.

Angela’s figure seed to dissolve within the darkness, unable to endure the overwhelming force of the attack. Her entire form turned into ash, disappearing into the shadows.

However, monts later, Angela’s silhouette reappeared not far from the battlefield. Despite her return, her face was deathly pale, indicating the severity of her injuries. It was clear that she had suffered greatly from the devastating assault.

The skill “Blood Escape” had been activated, a desperate move that consud half of her blood to withstand the fatal blow. But despite this sacrifice, Angela bore the marks of her ordeal.

As for Azrael, the black aura surrounding his body showed signs of diminishing. It was evident that he, too, had paid a price for his relentless attack.

With no one left to impede his progress, Azrael wasted no ti and charged towards the room on the fifth floor. His determination was evident in his swift movents as he navigated through the chaos of battle.

Despite their fearless deanor, the vampire thralls and blood servants fell one by one under Azrael’s onslaught. Each sacrifice delayed Azrael by re monts, but it was enough to make a difference in the unfolding confrontation.

Just as Azrael reached the door, about to rush into the room, his entire body froze in mid-air.

Inside the room, William gasped for breath, the protective case in front of him completely shattered, gradually dissipating into nothingness in the blaze of blue flas.

William seed to hear the agonizing screams of Azrael’s departing soul.

Looking back, the Lich Azrael was less than ten ters away from him. But in that short distance, it seed like an insurmountable gap to Azrael.

The skeletal body gradually turned to dust from bottom to top, dispersing into the air.

At this mont, Azrael, who had existed for countless ages, finally reached the end of his life, welcoming release.

A series of ssages flashed on William’s interface, but before he could check them, the entire Lich’s Tower began to shake.

No, it should be said that the entire maze was trembling!

After Azrael’s complete demise, his soul imprint left in the tomb also dissipated, and the magic array that maintained the tomb’s existence ceased to operate. Under the pressure from the earth above, the entire tomb gradually collapsed.

No ti to waste!

Seeing the magic array in the room dimming and losing its glow, and the surrounding walls starting to crumble, William hastily left the room.

At this mont, Angela, once again transford into a white bat, flew over unsteadily and plunged into William’s dark hair, weakly asking:

“William, is Azrael dead? Can we leave now?”

William nodded. With Angela found, everything was fine.

Taking out the newly acquired realm crystal, he infused it with magic.

In the maze, Jason hiding in the Dark Hall, Elena chased by zombies, Lumbro nestled in the Bone Temple, and Nichole, who had been lost and dizzy in the maze for half a day, all felt a shock throughout their bodies. Along with William and Angela, they disappeared into the imminent destruction of the realm.
